IU: ‘I stan U’. I thought about whether to film a music video for it, but I felt that by attaching images to the song’s message, I would end up confining the interpretation of the song. ‘I Will Be Your Audience (literal translation of the Korean song title, ‘관객이 될게‘) is a message between me and my fans, as well as listeners of the song. You know how the audience and the performer on stage face each other? I will be your audience as much as the way you are focusing your attention on me. This is a song about cheering on each other. Hearing people say that they like my songs, that they gain strength from my songs, or that they can relate to the messages in my songs, all these motivate me to continue doing music.
