i really can't wrap my head around it. i know some artists who are pretty consistent in releasing good songs, you know? their albums usually have mostly good songs, maybe a few decent/bad ones. but chappell consistently releasing such EXCELLENT songs... what? the quality of the giver, the subway, glb is the kind of quality you'd only see once or twice in most ppl's albums. these aren't just mildly good songs, but strikingly good songs.
There's a good version of it on YT, a lyric video. Rip that mp3, edit the artist and title tags, add it to your Spotify local files, and that will suffice until she officially drops it.

Dan Nigro doesn't get enough credit for his contributions. Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo are really amazing singers. Without a doubt they deserve their flowers but so does he. He just really has this vibe with the girls he works with. It's fresh.
I think the thing people miss about Nigro is that he is able to be inspired by Roan herself personally, like he's not just a songsmith with chops, he's like her muse or she's his muse or something. for example That California song kills me, and nobody else could do it, it's her story.
