@@michaelpatterson6160 those are not lightforged, they are Eredar... By your definition Draenei, which i 🥫 buy, but then we shouldn't separate lightforged with "og" draenei. Wouldn't mind if they gave ua Eredar as an allied race. Not a allied race fanatic, imo the only real cool ones are the Kul Tiran, the Zandalari and the Vulpera. They saved the DI dwarfs with the cool Shaman totems and the allied race weapons. They had a real swing and a miss one with the Nightborne, if the had kept them like they were first time you encountered them, skinny and "alien like" then they'd be the coolest race, but now they look too much like the night elves. I play the rest of the allied races though, so no hatred, just disappointed that they aren't unique enough (yeah I'm kind of an ungrateful brat) but now when every race start to become any class i start to wonder "what's the point really?"
just imagine shaman tank, man.. having a tank class with an earth elemental that next to you, that takes 20% of your dmg and receives 20% of your heals and for a def-CD #1 you surround yourself with winds giving you 100% dodge-chance and 20% magic res for x sec. and for def-CD#2 you turn into an earth ascended dealing physical dmg to all surround enemies, slowing their movement, attackspeed and castspeed by 20% for x. sec. jeez, there's so much you could do with an elemental class that's able to wield a shield.. earth barriers, talents that synergize with earth shield and some selfheal with totems, block chance, dodge-chance with wind.. you can almost do too much with it :D
Blizzard had a chance to add in a new Tank spec with the Evoker but pussed out and we got yet ANOTHER DPS. We haven't received a new Tank spec since LEGION. Let that sink in for a bit.
I think what would be cool is if they could integrate subjugate/enslave demon into the customization, for example if you could walk into black temple and subjugate supremus, the model will then be "added to your collection" so that you could change the infernal to how it looks i don't have ptr so i don't understand fully how it works but just something i thought would be cool.

Especially since they're gonna make the Warlock class available to Draenei. It only makes sense to let them have the demonic options. And to make it fair for both factions, they could give Orcs demonic customization options as well. People try to complain that it doesn't fit with the lore, but blizz doesn't care about lore anyways at this point. Blood elves now have high elf options, you can be an Alliance dark ranger, and LIGHTforged draenei will be able to be warlocks. So why not?

I don't play warlock, but I think its great that they are spending the time on them to add to their class fantasy. I hope they continue to add more models to them. I know there are way more re-colors out there in the world.
For a box price, paid xpacs, monthly fee, having to deal with the fact that p2w exists cuz of the wow tokens, I sure hope they work the minimum for their new yacht that they get from milking nerds who cant let go of the game.

Sure, the customisation options add to the class fantasy, but what about the new race options? That really just seems like a spit in the face towards the "class fantasy". All these races that abhor or even outright fight against the use of fel magic are now suddenly onboard with it? No dedicated lore effort other than a few NPCs spiting cop-out lines... It's a whole new level of that one edgy kid who just has to be different.
There does not need to be a massive lore change and it can just be as simple as "This entire race says not to do something, so it makes sense that a few individuals would branch off and go do that." There were several tauren warlocks that practiced fel in Highmountain. We killed them because they were trying to kill us, not because they practiced warlockmancy or w/e. They dont even have to be liked by the rest of the faction, and executing or exiling them from the faction for practicing this stuff is some major insane people religion vibes and thats obviously wrong.
I would love a Fel lord customization option for the felguard, they could also add different colors for the doomguard / terrorguard pets since many are already available in the wild. All in all however, I'm very happy with what they've produced so far and I can't wait to see more ! As always, thank you for your great work !
Did you know Northrend Skeletons can visually equip most gear? Even many modern cloaks, helms, belts, shoulders, gloves, etc work on them. 3D assets are almost always compatible(even on chest pieces, belts and legs) are compatible. I'm waiting for the day I as a death knight can dress my skeleton up in a badass set like the Raging Tempest gear, which if you look in wowheads dressing room, is fully compatible and looks amazing.
The other Doomguard customization is actually called a Terrorguard, it was another one that used to be a glyph back in whichever expansion let warlocks have doomguards out as normal pets. Terrorguards weren't actually introduced until TBC and probably the one most people will remember is the boss in the very first dungeon of TBC, Hellfire Ramparts, which for whatever reason is the boss that gives the achievement for the dungeon even though it's not the final boss of it.
Nice to see new customization for Warlock pets. Still annoyed they're removing the Observer look, because after being available in the game for years, suddenly it's 'too confusing'.
I like that it has the old models as options, totally not letting those old models go to waste. love that. Hope they put in the old infernal and Succubus models too for consistency. I also hope they should do the same for mage water elementals. :D

The low res imps are Fel Imps which were in Burning Crusade, disappointed that the lantern voidwalkers aren't an option, the low res doomguard is actually a terrorguard, the 6 armed succubus is a Shivarra, and the orange infernal is an Abyssal.
The low res imp is actually the fel imp that was added with Glyphs ,and the second Doomguard is actually the Terror guard which is also an original glyph one
I always wanted warlocks to be able to spawn demonic/vampiric wings and fly around... as a mount. Same with paladins or priests spawning angel wings. Customizing the warlock pets is cool.
Hope they expand on this, aside from the imps the rest kinda look lazy. I would LOVE to see a hunter pet collection tab added. My stables are looking insane. We don't need more slots, we need some sort of organization thing.
Oh fuck yes, we love more customisation. At this point Blizzard should just make every class available for every race, they had enough years in the game to train new races, maybe not demon hunters and obviously evokers (though I can totally see lore friendly ways for them as well).

I already got the green color for my succubus from the item drop in eternal cathedral. Farmed it like ceazy back in the day and they removed ut from me now with the update lol
People have been asking for Warlocks to be able to tame new demons since Vanilla WoW. Still not listening, but at least this is a step in the right direction.
It would be awesome to do this more with hunter pets and mounts. It could be little things, like notches in ears, extra bags, etc. That way it’s not interfering too much with special models and colorization. Since it’s fun to go all over the place looking/hunting/working for special and specific mounts/pets.
Great to see them opening this up, would love to see sometime down the line expanding this to being able to customise individual features of the minions like you can with the dragon riding mounts (even if not that extensively), and obviously as a Druid player I'd be thrilled if that happened with druid forms as well. Also high key the old void walker model STILL looks way better to me, I'm sorry the blob of opaque skin and sculpted muscles just look so much sillier that the living shadows they used to be
Super happy about this as a warlock main! I just really hope they add more options for the Voidwalker. Some of the other pets got new models, i would like to see more love for the blueberry as well

Removing the Observer option from felhunters, while at the same time keeping the other glyph models - wrathguard and shivarra, and even adding vanilla demon models is quite galling. It really detracts from the excitement of this new system.
Pretty cool, if I come back to Retail I'll check them out. Draenie Lock was something I always wanted to make but with Red skin, hope that becomes an option.
Great that they're making Warlock Demons and Druid Shapeshifts into barbershop options instead of glyphs. Now I can only hope they'll continue and do the same for Mage Water Elementals, Shaman Elementals, DK Ghouls/Gargoyle, and DH wings. (and maybe even Hunter pets) I don't agree with Blizz's reasoning for removing the Observer skin for the felpuppy _at all_ though. They say it has to do with "keeping the same silhouette", but that doesn't matter at all since 1. nobody pays attention to demons/pets in PvP anyway and 2. players already have clashing silhouettes thanks to heritage armor. That full plate Dark Iron dwarf over there with a 2h mace? It's a Mage. That Nightborne in a cloth dress with a glowing staff? It's an Arms Warrior. I also really hope they eventually add an Earth based Shaman Tank spec, since that's the only element they're missing as a primary focus for a spec, and I kinda miss the old Rockbiter weapon giving higher threat.
Been about 10 years since I played, and one of the (admittedly SUPER petty) reasons I haven't come back is, of all things, the redesign of the lock's voidwalker. Being able to get the old, less-defined VW is definitely a nudge toward returning. It looks like a fun system with a lot of room for expansion.
I picture this sort of customization with hunter pet appearances...i.e. Training a beast unlocks the appearance. You choose which beast class to use, but then select the beast appearance you want from your unlocks.
It's not the "Old" Imp model. The low-res ones here are the Fel Imps from Outland, which are a separate model entirely. To my knowledge, all instances of the vanilla model were removed in favour of the WoD version in 6.2 The "Low-res Doomguard" is also not a Doomguard, it's a Terrorguard, which is what you got access to if you had both Demonic Servitude and Grimoire of Supremacy together in WoD. Completely different type of demon. The "Orange Infernal" is an Abyssal. And of course, the grey felguard is actually a Wrathguard, which is a type of demon mutated from Eredar (the same race as Draenei), not a Mo'arg like the Felguard.
I like how they removed observers because they dont have the same silhouette as the felhunter Then the wrathguard is a different silhouette than Felguard And ofc the incubus and the succubus
This is great I just hope they added customisations like the dragonriding customisations like you can choose specific colours, spikes etc for your demon instead of premade models but still this is a nice addition
I don't play dragonflight and I've not seen that much , but from what I've heard it's good and I am so glad to hear that it's good and ppl enjoy it . Last time I played was in BFA 8.0 , that was boring as hell and I quit , since then I've played old expansions on private servers , but dragonflight looks awesome , maybe I will try it

The low res models arent the old Vanilla demons. Warlocks could only use them with the grimoire of sumpremancy talent(or something like this) in mop and wod
the one with the mouth as a stomach is from vanilla and needed other people to summon it. you had two special summons. the inferno which constantly needed to be enslaved and the one with the mouth for which you summoned some sort of altar and i think you needed to sacrifice a friendly player (he needs to click on the altar or so) and then the demon is summoned. this demon also needed to be constantly enslaved. i'm not 100% on the summoning ritual though
OMG CUTE! I've been a Lock main (on and off) since TBC and honestly it's about time that class got some love. Druids are over there getting a hundred things per xpac and the latest thing warlocks have gotten is succubus with a penis.
I've been waiting for a very long time to get a Fel Walker for my Warlock and was so excited when i heard that we would get to customise our pets in the next patch but my dreams have just been shattered now as there is no customisation for that. :( Like you say though hopefully in the future that will happen.
It's great. This expansion. Old mounts. Fresh ui. More customisation. Not to mention even more friendly to casual and solo play. Even easier to get high ilvl. I'm liking this expansion it feels more forgiving. And in turn makes me on it more.
It would be really cool if you got the option to customise hunter pets like adding scars and that. Only problem with it is that it kinda gets rid of needing to go and find the pets in the open world.
Looks cool. I would also like for warlocks to be able to collect axes and two handed swords to transmog on their felguard. But this change is a great start
you can literally do that :) there's a glyph that the felguard equips one 2hand weapon from your inventory. mine always has the Sha-2h axe since i happen to stumble upon it. it's a bit stupid that you have to keep the actual items in your pockets, but you can do it :)
These newer imp models look sooo sick and awesome. I would love the old green model infernal form warcraft 3, the big green embers on rocks looks sooo kool, would love to have that option please.
Really hoping they give more, it looks like they've gotten the imp, voidwalker, and felhunter but we still need the others to be more than the glyphs. The Felhunter doesn't actually even have its glyph (the one that turns it into an observer) and i wonder if they did that because of affliction having a newer model one as a cooldown.
Also I know they're only giving pet customization but it'd be REALLY nice if we could get, like, fel glowing eyes like the demon hunters unlocked for finishing the green fire questline, maybe some specific skin colors for certain races too (like red for draenei because of man'ari and black for orcs like the ones in WoD's hellfire citadel raid)
Only important thing here is, do the pets keep their names or does it work like when we used glyphs to change the looks and they suddenly was new demons

I haven't played recently, but are they still shrunken? I remember seeing Felguards and Succubus that were smaller than Humans when I came back, as if they were critter pets... and no, I don't mean the Sister of Temptation critter. I mean like the 2nd Doomguard here 5:10 should be much bigger. He's gnome-sized!
I wonder if they will do the same for hunters, loike you can change A pet family, into any skin you unlock, Like You can turn spirit beasts, into any other spirt beast, you "unlocked"
Those low res models aren't original vanilla demons, they are demon models from TBC that were used in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Dreanor with a talent that upgraded all your demons. Some of those models were never updated for Legion. Also there isn't realy nothing new for Sayaad, all 3 Succubus colors are available via glyphs.

Druid need customizable forms. Cat, bear, and moonkin forms need customization on par with allied races. Fur, markings, eyes, racial features, tail, body paint, and accessories.
Remember the "Pimp my Mount" april fool joke? Yeah I think we are really close to that one now with dragon riding and all the custimisation (Draktyr, warlocks pets etc.)
Odd that the Doomguard is an option to customize... The only way for any of the 3 specs to even summon a doomguard is the ritual of doom that kills 1 person. But that's more of a flavor ability than a regular use.

Shaman elemental pet customization sounds like a really cool idea. Hopefully it comes soon with a Shaman tank spec

All of the Sayaad (saayad? succubus/incubus) models are just the glyphs, excluding the incubus of course.

my hope is that maybe they're saving the model to make it a brand new pet...maybe sometime in the future or an added talent feature or something

Great that they're making Warlock Demons and Druid Shapeshifts into barbershop options instead of glyphs.
Now I can only hope they'll continue and do the same for Mage Water Elementals, Shaman Elementals, DK Ghouls/Gargoyle, and DH wings. (and maybe even Hunter pets)
I don't agree with Blizz's reasoning for removing the Observer skin for the felpuppy _at all_ though. They say it has to do with "keeping the same silhouette", but that doesn't matter at all since 1. nobody pays attention to demons/pets in PvP anyway and 2. players already have clashing silhouettes thanks to heritage armor. That full plate Dark Iron dwarf over there with a 2h mace? It's a Mage. That Nightborne in a cloth dress with a glowing staff? It's an Arms Warrior.
I also really hope they eventually add an Earth based Shaman Tank spec, since that's the only element they're missing as a primary focus for a spec, and I kinda miss the old Rockbiter weapon giving higher threat.

Been about 10 years since I played, and one of the (admittedly SUPER petty) reasons I haven't come back is, of all things, the redesign of the lock's voidwalker. Being able to get the old, less-defined VW is definitely a nudge toward returning. It looks like a fun system with a lot of room for expansion.

I picture this sort of customization with hunter pet appearances...i.e.
Training a beast unlocks the appearance.
You choose which beast class to use, but then select the beast appearance you want from your unlocks.
It's not the "Old" Imp model.
The low-res ones here are the Fel Imps from Outland, which are a separate model entirely.
To my knowledge, all instances of the vanilla model were removed in favour of the WoD version in 6.2
The "Low-res Doomguard" is also not a Doomguard, it's a Terrorguard, which is what you got access to if you had both Demonic Servitude and Grimoire of Supremacy together in WoD. Completely different type of demon.
The "Orange Infernal" is an Abyssal.
And of course, the grey felguard is actually a Wrathguard, which is a type of demon mutated from Eredar (the same race as Draenei), not a Mo'arg like the Felguard.
I like how they removed observers because they dont have the same silhouette as the felhunter
Then the wrathguard is a different silhouette than Felguard
And ofc the incubus and the succubus
So glad they brought back the "low rez" vanilla models for a lot of these, wish we'd get as many of those re-added as possible as an option!
Cool seeing the old models back they really need to updatw the models of them because I can literally count the pixels
This is great I just hope they added customisations like the dragonriding customisations like you can choose specific colours, spikes etc for your demon instead of premade models but still this is a nice addition
I don't play dragonflight and I've not seen that much , but from what I've heard it's good and I am so glad to hear that it's good and ppl enjoy it . Last time I played was in BFA 8.0 , that was boring as hell and I quit , since then I've played old expansions on private servers , but dragonflight looks awesome , maybe I will try it

The low res models arent the old Vanilla demons. Warlocks could only use them with the grimoire of sumpremancy talent(or something like this) in mop and wod
the one with the mouth as a stomach is from vanilla and needed other people to summon it. you had two special summons. the inferno which constantly needed to be enslaved and the one with the mouth for which you summoned some sort of altar and i think you needed to sacrifice a friendly player (he needs to click on the altar or so) and then the demon is summoned. this demon also needed to be constantly enslaved. i'm not 100% on the summoning ritual though

OMG CUTE! I've been a Lock main (on and off) since TBC and honestly it's about time that class got some love. Druids are over there getting a hundred things per xpac and the latest thing warlocks have gotten is succubus with a penis.

I've been waiting for a very long time to get a Fel Walker for my Warlock and was so excited when i heard that we would get to customise our pets in the next patch but my dreams have just been shattered now as there is no customisation for that. :(
Like you say though hopefully in the future that will happen.
It's great. This expansion. Old mounts. Fresh ui. More customisation. Not to mention even more friendly to casual and solo play. Even easier to get high ilvl. I'm liking this expansion it feels more forgiving. And in turn makes me on it more.
50% exp buff is nuts atm finally levelling classes I’ve never played before like mage and paladin.
It would be really cool if you got the option to customise hunter pets like adding scars and that. Only problem with it is that it kinda gets rid of needing to go and find the pets in the open world.
Really nice, Warlock used to be my main since the OG days, but I do have the glyph ones etc, so not many new options
Looks cool. I would also like for warlocks to be able to collect axes and two handed swords to transmog on their felguard. But this change is a great start
you can literally do that :) there's a glyph that the felguard equips one 2hand weapon from your inventory. mine always has the Sha-2h axe since i happen to stumble upon it. it's a bit stupid that you have to keep the actual items in your pockets, but you can do it :)
As someone who grinded out the Fel succubus, this is alittle frustrating lol. but I am overall glad they're doing this.
These newer imp models look sooo sick and awesome. I would love the old green model infernal form warcraft 3, the big green embers on rocks looks sooo kool, would love to have that option please.

Nice :D, after many years of not playing warlock, I decided to go for it this expansion. Good decision.
Really hoping they give more, it looks like they've gotten the imp, voidwalker, and felhunter but we still need the others to be more than the glyphs. The Felhunter doesn't actually even have its glyph (the one that turns it into an observer) and i wonder if they did that because of affliction having a newer model one as a cooldown.
Also I know they're only giving pet customization but it'd be REALLY nice if we could get, like, fel glowing eyes like the demon hunters unlocked for finishing the green fire questline, maybe some specific skin colors for certain races too (like red for draenei because of man'ari and black for orcs like the ones in WoD's hellfire citadel raid)
I LOVE we can finally use the original red Fel Imp model from way back in BC
Only important thing here is, do the pets keep their names or does it work like when we used glyphs to change the looks and they suddenly was new demons

The new options looks great BUT i was expecting more options on the other demons besides imps...
I haven't played recently, but are they still shrunken? I remember seeing Felguards and Succubus that were smaller than Humans when I came back, as if they were critter pets... and no, I don't mean the Sister of Temptation critter. I mean like the 2nd Doomguard here 5:10 should be much bigger. He's gnome-sized!

I know it wouldn’t make them demons anymore but undead skins would be kinda neat. Make you look like a more necromancer. Still though these are neat.
Those low res models aren't original vanilla demons, they are demon models from TBC that were used in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Dreanor with a talent that upgraded all your demons. Some of those models were never updated for Legion. Also there isn't realy nothing new for Sayaad, all 3 Succubus colors are available via glyphs.

Druid need customizable forms. Cat, bear, and moonkin forms need customization on par with allied races. Fur, markings, eyes, racial features, tail, body paint, and accessories.

Odd that the Doomguard is an option to customize... The only way for any of the 3 specs to even summon a doomguard is the ritual of doom that kills 1 person. But that's more of a flavor ability than a regular use.
