  • For Part 2 on bringing this vette back to life, the carb needed a little love. The gasoline inside of it had turned to varnish. After the rebuild, will the engine run any better?

Good to see you’re still making content. This series is just what I needed. My daughter was just gifted an ‘80. Been sitting since the 90’s so don’t know what to expect. Should be fun.

Good to know it takes a minute for the oil to get up to the rockers. I'll wait a few minutes before driving my Vette now.

Your videos are great and I love them! However, I really wish you would show more of the "how to" process.
We need more "how to" videos for the C3's.

Nice job so far. The open valve covers is something I did in the late 70's to work on Chevy's. It was fun to see the idea used again.

I'm sorry I miss understood classic ride Society that Corvette looks just like the one we sold and we traded it $3,000 and a Ford Fairlane for it but I still like your channel it does much better than mine I'm just an old recovering addict now I've been clean for 4 years and my new addiction is classic cars flipping them painting them

Good for you. Glad you are in a beautiful old machine. Long may she run! I love C3s!!! The bodies are iconic, unmistakable, and high performance solid . Weather you restomod, or go old school you can build an awesome classic car to drive HARD now. Will you get you money back ? NO Will you get your money worth YES !!! My 75 L82 has been gutted and now has a OLD school LT1 Block (roller camed) Twin Hollies... with Borling 3.5 in straight pipes, and a 5 speed manual Transmission = 480 very reliable horsepower, New modern suspension and brakes, that rival any new car. It is fun as can be! She is a smiler, T topped, beautiful sleeper. lol The sound of my v8 kicking over is like hearing Thor's hammer. Here's to Bowling Green Kentucky and a bygone American Era! Enjoy your ride , they are special!

The brake pads were pulled off the car 3 days before the car was picked up because they were dragging and it was next to impossible to push the car by hand so I could get it out of the garage and on the trailer to make the trip to Ben's.

The Torino I bought had the same carb issue with all the varnish, corrosion and it was so bad that it was only idling out of one side of the carburetor. The previous owner didn't run a fuel filter plus the tank fuel broke apart allowing all the rust and junk into the fuel system.
When you pulled the carburetor apart I got a flashback! Once it was gone over it ran so much better.

As a kid 25 years ago after fighting with the calipers (rebuilding by hand) I was surprised how much rebuilt calipers from my local auto store cost. I want to say about 15 bucks each; back when the dollar had more value:) Recently changed pads out to ceramic. it lowers brake dust. As for the carburetor, once I tasted TBI, carb became a relic sitting in my parts bin.
