Now this is what I missed from these guys! I wasn't disappointed with All a Man Should Do, but it didnt hit me as hard as the other albums. This reignites that traditional Lucero vibe for me.
Traditional Lucero didn't have the freaking horns though. The brass section would have been fine for a song or two or maybe even a one-off record, but now they're in almost every song. Just my opinion.
Love all Lucero, but especially everything 1372 Overton Park and beyond, the addition of a brass section in this band was the icing on the cake for me.
