@@CrazyAboutA380s Yes we do have a holiday train, no holiday bus that I am aware of, and none of them decked out like this! AT. ALL! Here, you guys go above and beyond to make your Transit system very Holiday special, music, decorations, I mean it really embraces the holidays. Our Holiday train has a wreath in the front car. 👏👏👏 Our Holiday Transit ain't like your Holiday Transit by any stretch. Yours is gorgeous:)
True! The back story is also very festive! If you didn’t know the story, our Holiday Train was originally started out as an extra train that delivered food baskets to people near the Blue Line, which it does to this day. It only had a special holiday themed sign on it, but obviously it’s become more elaborate over the years, and still continues to improve every year. And the train is also a nice volunteer effort. It’s decorated with lots of TLC by shop volunteers, and runs as an extra train instead of replacing a normal train. Everyone onboard isn’t on a normal schedule, but they volunteered to be on the run, and everyone is super friendly.
Really nice! Chicago CTA really knows how to get in the spirit of the season. I wish NYC was like this on NYCTA, it would be really nice!
Thank you! The CTA is a transit agency I’m proud of. Though I thought NYC had its own historical holiday train.
