Every time I watch a live concert clip from IU, I get so emotional, the way she sings, the way she commands the audience, the way she flirts and interacts with the audience. This woman is the most stunning person I've ever seen. For Love Wins All..D.O. did such a masterful job with his part of IU's wonderful song. I agree, he held true to the original track and I really love how, when IU came in D.O. Immediately lowered his part to elevate IU and ensured that she shined on the Harmonies. These two had barely met before this show and they are also almost the same age...D.O. turned 31 earlier this year. Ross, Drink lots of water before her concert, cuz you're gonna lose a lot.
thank you for saying that about Kyungsoo (DO) I have seen an IU fan react to DO as less than stellar because he's stuck in IU's version. I don't think he'd ever be open to other people singing this song . well we have our loyalties and as a Kyungsoo fan i can understand that. I hope you can also react to his album Blossom its the recent one he's been promoting and i think you will like his long there About Time- if you have a taste of masterpieces then that is a song for you much like the vein of Love Wins All. His 3 mini albums are actually such a treat you will find a lot of amazing songs in there. Though known more for his body of work as an actor in both movies and tv, he is considered by most as one of the top male vocalists in kpop. Hope you can react to his Rewrite the Stars very short duet with AKMU's Suhyun and his Lee Mujin gueting. haha the unbothered kinbg and effortlessly belting those high notes, woah. Also this song, i didnt realize how much a lot of people love it till this show. I am so glad Kyungsoo did great with it even IU said she didnt expect him to sing it so passionately

I think I saw that same IU fan reaction you did. How could they NOT hear Kyungsoo’s incandescent and transcendent performance? Truly, it is their loss.
The whole show was a treat. They had never met before and they just seemed as if they have known each other for years. She sang his song "I Do" and sounded so wonderful. She teased him so much and Kyungsoo is always unpredictable which made it sooo much fun.

She even said that they had only said "Hi" at promotions and such and this was their first time to converse. That's why I loved their easiness with each other.

Even as early in the year as 'Love Wins All' dropped, I still say it should be Song Of The Year. Out-doing that song is going to require a truly Herculean effort and so far, I have not heard anything capable of toppling it from the top.
Sadly its gonna be hard for this year, as the chart/ the streaming sites are different now :') ppl who leaving streaming sites (fyi, digital market in s.korea is on decline rn) are largely casual fans, her "ghost fandom"

I'll recommend bringing a handkerchief/tissue when you go to the concert hahaha Love wins all hits so much more live, the videos cannot fully capture how amazing it is. Love wins all might be my favorite IU song ever. I've listened to it so much ever since it got released. The MV is amazing as well, but THE SONG. I agree with everything you said about it and I honestly couldn't put it in better words. The fact that IU was seriously sick during the recording to the point that even the producer said they should stop and do it another day still blows my mind to this day. I never would have thought that hearing her voice in the song and yet she was... and she finished recording the whole song anyway. Her behind the recording of this song is honestly just heartbreaking, because she's struggling so much 😢
IU is a big fan of D.O. and he is a big fan of her, so to have them sing together like that must've been a dream come true for the both of them. D.O. went to her latest concert as well and IU has a special connection with the song That's okay, because that's the only song where she feels that she's allowed to cry.
IU was actually supposed to take a long break from Pallet, but she knew D.O. had a comeback and wanted him on the show, so she did another episode instead.
She even brought the cello specially for him 🥹.
I just love these two so much. While they weren't nessecarily friends before, they've known each other for a long time. When D.O. made a mistake in the introduction of MAMA during a music show in 2012, it was IU that tried to help him through it as she was the MC back then.
I cannot wait to see what the future will bring for these two. My hopes will be that someday we'll see them act together and maybe feature on each other's album as well ❤

@@NM-wn7nk If you don't like it, why bother, watch the video and comment down here ? We can appreciate IU's song, be it sung by her or anyone else who appreciates her song. Plus she harmonized with him at the end. Nobody forces you to watch and comment, youtube is full of other reaction contents.
@latverius comment isn't irrelvant at all. Did you skip the intro where I praised IU and wished her happy birthday? Did you miss the first half of the video where I reacted to an entire song by her? Did you miss the part where I was shocked that D.O. took most of the song? I didn't know that was the case but it was still beautifully performed by them both. I talked about IU 80% of this video showing her nothing but praise. You seem to be very over-defensive about it all. I made this video with love for IU while celebrating two songs by her, not knowing one of them was mostly sung by another insanely talented vocalist, with her harmonising at the end.

This is exactly how I felt and shed my tears when I was watching their duet while I was in the metro on my way back home. You are saying the right fact that the song itself by IU is already great but adding in Kyungsoo's vocal and his emotion to that song hit me way too differently that my eyes broke the tears in public. Haha. The best duet/collab of 2024 for me, period!!!

With you being an actor, I would recommend My Mister over Hotel del Luna, if you were to only watch one. But obviously, I’d recommend both as must see K-dramas for IU fans.
