Seeing the AD&D DMG takes me back to my childhood. I still have my copy, which is one of my most cherished possessions.Thank you for the wonderful episode and a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
This was a great watch! Thanks so much for reaching out to us and deep diving into what the Dungeon Year Journal has to offer. I'm excited to see what you end up making!
I've been doing the Dungeon23 challenge all year and it is a lot of fun. I put together a set of room and week randomized tables (to keep the days from being repetitive) and combine the prompts like you so often do in a unique room.
I really appreciate your channel. I wish I had more time for solo gaming myself. The way that you focus entirely on the content and have no face reveals nor any other narcissistic typical-youtuber type stuff going on that detracts from the actual meat of the subject is excellent. Thank you for all of your hard work, which lets those of us who can't keep up with all of the solo-game-o-sphere stuff at least feel like we can stay in touch with all of the goings on. On the subject of people ridiculing your artwork (or whatever else in general): With my own youtubery at least, it never fails that the most critical comments come from people who are not actually producing anything of value themselves. My opinion is that unless someone is producing something of equal or greater value, then their sh!t-takes are beneath notice, lol. When they have done the work themselves, then they will be qualified to be unconstructively critical. Which will never happen. God bless. 👍
I'm so happy to hear your thoughts about keeping journals 😅 It's so relatable! I admire and somewhat envy people who do that but I have huge difficulty keeping even the most basic GM notes 😆 I am still, after decades of gaming, discovering my own approach to running games (and doing a little bit of solo rpg on the side). Finding ways to handle things in a manner that suits ourselves instead of trying to do something in a way we feel we should do is pretty darn precious.
Please one video about table fables I & II, even the 400 pages magic item book "Arcane Artifacts and Curious Curios: 1000 Magical Artifacts for Game Masters" could be great !
Thanks, I use Arcane Artifact and Curious Curiosities often in my vids.. don’t think I will do a separate vid on that however as it shows up so often on my table in videos…. I may have included it already in one of my indie roundups. I don’t currently own Table Fables books but I think they have been widely covered on YT already.
I'm glad you ask it, I was about to write a comment too. I've placed an order a month ago for "A place Underground" and a print, and still no news from them despite two messages via their contact form. Hope @GeekGamers01 can help. Thanks anyway.
You have published books, your critics are jealous. "OMG, your drawings aren't good."- People that don't understand talent distribution rarely are capable of putting out their own content.

Ah what a great comment. So glad you enjoyed the vid (& still own the book!)

Thank you for the comment and kind words. Glad you are enjoying my content and mode of presentation.
I am looking forward to see how you use Four Against Darkness with all this! Thank you for your many helpful videos.
My pleasure!

Keeping a journal of my games is not an option but a necessity since I can barely remember details of the game.
Nice product.
Fantastic video, thank you!
I found the newer Tome of Adventure Design to be a lot harder to read than the old version. Thinner font is hard on the eyes.
Yes. Agree. As I mentioned that overall design of the new one, in addition to the font, is tough.
I really liked the keywords in the margins, though. Definitely got a lot of use by looking at where my thumbs happened to be.
@@bjhaleI like them well enough too though not sure it makes up for the design. I’m happy to have both volumes.
I love the Dungeon Dozen and had no idea that a new edition was out. I'm glad I tuned in!

Aw, that's not nice if people were negative about your drawing! I say keep drawing.
Is there another place to buy A Place Underground from? LFOSR is apparently not responding to orders for people so I'm hesitant to purchase from them
Hmm not to my knowledge but I will send him a note asking about this and post an update if I have one. Thanks for letting me know.

Just an update-I have not received a response myself either to two emails I’ve sent.
