      For real, he always has a solid opening and middle game, he even gains advantage in the middle game but somehow loses it all in the endgame. Those analysis are basically:
    Read the moves, say a few words about the opening, mention when there is a direct threat, let viewers guess one move, and that's it.
    Nothing about positional elements, why a move was played from the positional point of view, what are the strategic intentions, etc.

    it would be nice to have a classic varaint were you first have the usual time for the first x moves then gradually shorten the time from rapid to blitz further on in the mid to endgame OR exactly the opposite.

    2nd : Is Vidit the biggest reason India would want classical 9LX?
    Vidit beat Sergey Karjakin to get in the 2019 WFRCC quarter-finals. But then...
    Wesley So & Fabi expectedly do better in classical than in rapid for both 9LX & chess. Now, I'm not familiar with Vidit but
    - Wesley So does 30% better.
    - Fabi does 40% better.
    - VIDIT DOES 300% BETTER.
    LIKE 50% CLASSICAL SCORE BUT 12.5% RAPID SCORE.
    Vidit in 9LX
    - is the top Indian classical player
    - is the worst rapid player among the top 9 of the 2019 WFRCC.
    - in classical ties for 2nd place w/ Fabi & Nepo behind Wesley So.
    When is Tata Steel Classical Chess960 ? It should be a knockout where Vidit is seeded into the quarter-finals. It can be 60min, not 120min.
    P.s. In the 2019 WFRCC, wesley so beat magnus in 3x classical in a row!
    Question : When was the last time this happened in chess that someone lost 3x classical in a row in the finals of a FIDE or PCA WCC (or finals of knockouts candidates or semi-finals of a knockout WCC) ?
    Answer : Vishy Anand beat Alexei Shirov in 2000.
    2 whole decades Vishy's record stood - broken only in a variant!

      What is this whole thing , and what is 9LX?

    • @nicbentulan
      @nicbentulan 10 місяців тому +2

      @@Parth_20
      9LX = 960 = FRC.
      I'm saying vidit in 9LX does 300% better in classical than rapid. Vidit is so good at classical 9LX but for rapid 9LX eehhhh not really. I'm really surprised though there's such a huge gap. I know Wesley So & Fabi much better at classical than rapid, but I couldn't imagine someone would have a bigger gap than them relatively and such a huge gap of 300% absolutely. Vidit just does a lot better at calculation than intuition apparently.
      Vidit is the only Indian in the top 9 of classical 9LX in 2019 WFRCC and there was no Indian in the top 8 of rapid 9LX in 2022 WFRCC. Also there were no Indians iirc in the 2020, 2021 & 2022 9LX of St Louis ... I'll be sad but not really surprised if they don't get an Indian for 2023 huhuhu . I'd like to Wesley So play Vidit in 2023 st Louis 9lx
      Anyway
      So India kinda has a big interest in FIDE's hosting classical 9LX events over rapid 9LX events.

    That line of the Dutch is pure suffering and I think it's the main reason Simon Williams plays the Dutch with the 1.d4 e6 move order to avoid it. Bg5 no longer possible as the queen now controls that diagonal for the time being.
