Awesome addition to an already awesome first episode thanks for this...super cool!!! Aloha and blessings from Hawaii 🤙🏼🤙🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
That’s my grail. A John Sorensen custom evo. I have the all ti evo 2.0 ckf and preordered the black wash micarta inlay on the handles 3.0. One day!! Beautiful collection!!! My 2.0 is my edc I put aftermarket bearings in the 2.0 and wow!!
Great video, guys- and the first time for me watching this channel!! Are they all this good? (seems like I have some binge-watching to do🤣!! Seriously though, I'm all subscribed up and if you enjoyed going through this guy's knives as much as I enjoyed watching, then we all came out winners! Now- which grail to save up for first...🤨
Hi guys, I would say, what makes a custom is when you take no compromise in the production or execution to what you envisioned or wanna achieve, such as while in production if a specific task would get you a better result, that's what you'll use, if some task would be a tiny bit better using had and away time consuming than a machine then that's the route you would go thru, thanks 😉
Your fixed blade round up at the end was awesome ,but I didn't see a spk shark ..so with that being said Ryan please check them out bud you won't be disappointed
Awesome man love your collection I am hoping I'll actually have the funds when they drop again I am a big fan of the shark and Alex he has a bright future in the knife making biz
Hello Jamie just wondering your a knife guy into whiskey and I’m a whiskey guy into knives do you ever do any trading? And have you ever tried pappy van winkle?
For all the fancy knives, I would of thought the guy would know what dlc means when he talked about it on the first knife lol. He said it means diamond like coating and idk where people get that but it actually means diamond like carbon.
@@riversedgecutlery4260 stahp with the madness! But seriously bring on more. And can I suggest, every model you show, please do a close up of each side and say the name. A lot of time I'm screaming at my phone "Give me a close-up!!!"
For that slightly splotchy bronze (ish) finish he might have hit the blade with some wd40 or something as it was cooling...I've used a torch and wd40 to color metal before
Just a fookin silly collection. Here I am about two years in at 50 and can just marvel at the craftsmanship. Somehow, between childhood and teen years, I'd missed the furthering of pocket knives entirely. Silly me. Tl;dr version- A couple years ago a coworker opened an assisted knife in front of me and i asked if it was a "switch blade". Nope, but I'd realised pocket knives could be one hand operated, which is why I stopped carrying them; wearing a razor in a sheath was a better option. Little did I know the world that would pull me in like a drug. First knife I got, hearing assisted, was the zt0350. While I love that knife, and it's the only tip down carry I own(still carry it around the yard because it's bomb proof), yet my curiosity wouldn't abate. Here I am last year, having gotten into sharpening and knives well more deeply than someone not on the spectrum should, used that same knife from the coworker again... Holy f'n trash- given by a vendor, no desernable steel, tip down carry with the clip covering pre-stripped screws and the whole "knife" wonky(shabazz "it's made of metal and knife shaped"). I gifted him a civivi odium, in orange(which he said he likes). That I disassembled, cleaned, oiled and sharpened. Does he use it? Phhh hahaha no. He leaves it on display on his desk in the case, with cloth(it's probably a bit because it's not assisted?). Gifted one other knife to a buddy on his divorce day- a qsp grebe that I made scales for(marble wood, came out fantastic), that he uses/carried every day, except... I currently have it to fix because I mucked up some tolerances (and knew it when I did, BUT IT WORKED SO WELL). Where am I going with this? OH! When the pocket knife bug bites you, you're kinda doomed; you're just in. So, while i have a crap-ton of pocket knives at this point, I'll be giving away a couple(2 sets) of scales for knives with full liners before I start to sell them. Any takers?
My definition of a custom knife is one that is not identical to any other knife. As in 1 of 1. It doesn't necessarily have to be handmade. But that's just my personal thought process.
That line has been so blurred with the advancements in CNC machining and pretty much everyone using it. I say anything made in house by a maker regardless of how it got there is a custom in my book.
What happened to Sam Johnston I hadn't heard of his passing until I watched this. Such a shame because for those that don't know he really was to young. Really sad
unique : One of a kind item, usually handmade(even if it was tooled by machines behind the production). custom : Customised item(mass produced or not), modded, enhanced, changed. bespoke/personal ordered : Made/built from customer specs/choices/needs.

Need more content on the knives. Better close shots on the knife...b team filming
I mean I've got like 2500 bucks worth of spydies but I buy Gold, guns and ammo.
Good luck 👍
