Hello!! Just curious if you do this and your booking party is 47 or 60 how do I know when to show up at the ride? Haha I’ve only heard if you are group 20 or less then head there first.
Currently, they are no longer using boarding groups. However, it’s possible they’ll make a come back once Mickey and Minnie’s opens. Though I haven’t heard any news. Over in Disney World, my wife thinks Cosmic Rewind might still be using them. To answer the question though, the app will tell you how much time is left, and then it’ll tell you to when it’s your turn and to head to the ride.

@@thebradleyfamily9620 Correct. Rope drop is your best bet. The average wait time throughout the rest of the day is around 70 minutes. You can also purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for it for around $25/person if you don’t want to wait. This is the new Fastpass system through Genie+, though Genie+ itself is separate. Most rides are part of Genie+, but Rise of the Resistance costs extra. It can also be purchased a la carte without Genie+ If you’d like to know more about Genie+ and how much you can get done in a day with it, this video will help: ua-cam.com/video/DyN-dnbgyjs/v-deo.html

I think that is the case. It’s 1 PM at Disneyland and I get mixed up sometimes as Disneyland is our primary park. But unfortunately this video is now outdated. Today when I went to get a boarding group they changed how it works. You now confirm your party before the drop and just press Join at 7 AM and hope you’re fast enough.
@@SL-vw9pm Indeed. You will still need to refresh up until 7 AM but they’ve helpfully added a refresh button which is easier than scrolling. But, yes, now you just press join and hope you got in.
The one thing I worry about is the early boarding groups at like 9 am to arrive at the park. We usually don't leave the house until at least 11 so should we bother with the early for resistance. It worked out for web slingers our group wasn't called until 1 but I've heard rise of the resistance is hard. Should we even bother?
You don’t want to miss your boarding group if you get the early one or you won’t be able to get another. The groups drop at 7 AM. If you really want to ride it, try to get a boarding group and if you get one, leave earlier. To be honest, the best hour to be at the parks is 8 AM to 9 AM. If you aren’t even leaving until 11 AM you are missing out on some of the best times to ride rides. But I understand the reasons why. You can either try to get one at 7 AM and plan to show up early, or just try for 12 PM and hope you get it.
@@SoCalDisneyDad Yea I get it. We don't stay very long anyways but are also planning on taking advantage of what we can do at star wars park so I'm also worried about that interfering. As well as both me and my dad have bad knees that act up at about the 5 hour mark at the park with all the standing and walking.
Great Video! We just got back Sat night after a week doing the SoCal Parks. Here's what our experience was. 1) With the same signal we found that AT&T 5G gave us a better result than T-Mobile 5G (I have 4G Verizon and did not want to risk it) 2) If you get an early Rise Boarding group, as long as you have SCANNED (aka checked into Rise) BEFORE 12 noon, you are eligible to join the boarding group for Web Slingers and vice versa (Your starting park determines this) 3) This process DOES work for a party of 8, however, we tended to get a slightly higher/later boarding group (still before noon so we could try for the other park's boarding group). My story is the more members of your group, the more processing, and higher the boarding group. 4) I used a world clock app in order to queue the members in my group as to when to join the boarding group (We started off with 2 users with 4 in each group. That's how we discovered AT&T 5G was faster than T-Mobile 5G. The next day we tried 2 AT&T 5G phones and had similar results) 5) We started at the screen before you did (Where it says "Join Boarding Group). By the time they push that, the "Join" button has appeared on the next screen 6) Preemptively joining from the beginning screen cost us valuable boarding group spots on day 2 thanks to my son's experimenting. (Have to wait :) ) 7) Lastly, Make sure that you are not stuck on a ride where you could have a low signal (some rides have repeaters indoors, however) as you approach the 12-noon boarding group session.... You will likely get left out due to low signal/buffering. This happened to us as we tried to join web slingers the first day. We were on Haunted Mansion and the ride stalled 3 times, If we had an extra 30 seconds we would have made it out of the building/ride. No biggie as we got on the following morning as we started in California Adventure. Hope this helps somebody :)

Yes it has. There are no longer boarding groups. It’s a regular standby ride now

Great method but not the one I normally use. Just join at 659 and 59 seconds or 1159 and 59 seconds and just click join.
I like to make sure I’m there early because I’m paranoid. But it’s never let me down. 😂
