In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Please look after your back Mike. Suggest you get a tailgate lifter.. in my twenties and thirties I thought I was invincible and didn't listen to the wise older ones. Alternatively get a back brace from a sports Shop. At 71 I wish I had listened to the old folks.
Hi Dave,
71 is a good thing.
Hey I'm 71 too.
We got there👍
I may one day go that route but a huge part of my success is the speed at which I am able to do this. In my neck of the woods you have to be quick. I feel a lift gate or come along will slow me down not to mention take up space. I do here y’all about this and I appreciate the concern. Thanks
Scrap & Pallet man got a tail gate lifter! It’s a live saver for him! Check into it Mike! I think $3000.
Having severe pain in my back, so the Doc sent me for xrays. It transpires that not only do I have undiagnosed scoliosis, which has caused osteoarthritis, but also that 3 discs have collapsed, trapping nerves in my spine!! Oh and at some point in the past i had managed to break my back!!!!!
I thought i was invincible too, but now at only 57, I could be facing spinal surgery 😱😭🤦🏼♀️ Please be 'back aware'. X x
I was going to say the same thing.
Just had an awesome scrap run this Monday morning.
62 lb no1 $ 192.20
38 lb romex(ins #1) $66.12
163 lb elec motor $35.86
108 lb old sheet $ 28.08
70 lb clean brass $ 112
GRAND TOTAL: $434.26
Nice!
I miss those days. Used to scrap when I was a trashman, made about 400 a month just grabbing wire, motors and any copper/brass/aluminum. If I coulda had a truck follow me all day I probably would have made 400 a day. People throw away so much its almost insane.
I really appreciate the fact that you are interested in recycling reselling and repurposing everything you find. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow! You packed Dottie pretty tight. Great scores. Have a good day, and be safe out there.
Man you can put 20 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound bucket. Good job Mike the man.
I’ve seen peeps sell those strappy lawn chairs for good money. You might want to check into that. Thanks so much for sharing 💜
Thanks Mike! I started watching your videos now I'm looking at trash cans and dumpsters for scraps.
America First 🇺🇸
Always!🇺🇸👍🏼✝️❤️
Lol at the fact of you having a casual conversation while midway karate chopping the blades off the ceiling fan and then casually saying well have a nice day the look on that guys face I bet was priceless🤣
We admire your packing skills, Mike.
It's nice to watch how polite to ppl. You are thank you
I finally got to be number one thank you
What a nice way to wind down a Monday! Thanks!
That washer has a Fisher & Paykel motor. You can sell those on eBay even when it's in pieces. People turn them into 3-phase generators. Wind generators, water generators, etc.
Mike Mike Mike !!!! Wonderful curb side Scrapping !!! Thanks for taking us along!!!!
Like I say, no better way to start the day than coffee and Americas favorite scraper Mike the Scavenger. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
haha that's true, awesome channel for sure.
Mike you could use the white basket that you found at around 2:24 to put on your bmx for when you ride around in parking lots for wire and other small pieces of scrap
Mike. I actually turn my tv off and look forward to watching you dig thru trash. Love your channel and I appreciate you filming and releasing episodes. Thank you for your hard work.
The ceiling fan groans are priceless!
Always a delight to watch your collect your treasures.😊
Mike bro! You slapping that ceiling fan like if it owed you money!! Keep picking 👍🏻
I like it when you take the blades off the ceiling fans and they cry out. That's funny.😁. Jim's wood shop.
Nice day, stay safe❗️
Nice change up. Beautiful day. Thanks for taking us along.
Just got back from scrapin and had a fantastic day. Loaded up the bowl and turned on UA-cam and there you were. No better way to end the day. A bowl full of kush and Mike the Scavenger. Peace!
Hello son.. you helped me big time with my vocabulary since I am not English speaker . Thank you YOH 👍
Mike when I find mowers if I cant get them going with a little bit of tinkering, I have a few repair shops local that will give 20 to 30 dollars each for them for parts. Might be something to look into, for example those big rear wheels are 20 dollars and up each new. Love your videos keep up the good work.
Keep up the great work MTS! The title to this one, is a phase my buddy and I say often, when out on the boat, fishing! All the best Mucker! Mike the bike, in the Borderlands, `Scotland.
I second that regarding a tail gate lift.
Nice haul even better the packing job you did, expertly packed. Mike you have a nice day.😎👊🏻Always a GOOD SHOW. (PEACE)

Hey Mike is that fan a fan of urs. 😁😁
Scrappity loves aluminium ladders
I know you are still recovering from the surgery and I just keep watching some of the other videos I've already seen just to stay in touch with the scavenger
Dr Destructo had his way with that front-loader washer. I guess no one will yell "that might have worked" this time.
a lot of stuff🤩 awesome place Mike Scavenger🎶✌️
Another fun trip Mike on the curb can't wait for the next on
You got a great haul this time Mike!
Love the ol stack an strap ...... Nice haul Mr. Mike
i find knocking the metal slugs out of motor coils to be relaxing, and sometimes, their big magnets i can play with inside them.
Nice pick stay safe, stay blessed, 🙏 stay amazing 👏
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
Good score on the Craftsman mower. Carburetors are easy to clean and a new one is inexpensive online. Replaced two easy peasy.
Geez Mike you are a speedy guy. You just zip thru those neighbourhoods! 😁
Great haul.
The 2 lawnmowers & the pressure washer, probably easy fixes.... Nice money there...
I love the scooby doo styleclean up cut scene!
That guy had to be cracking up listening to you grunting as you break those fan blades. I know I was
I know you've probably heard it a thousand times, but those old aluminum folding chairs are big bucks on ebay. Crazy!!
i wish my neighborhoods laid out metal like yours does
Go get it mike
Hi Mike, always nice to see ya, let's get her done, scrapy scrap. Good luck 👍 💓

Nice haul, like found $
Sell the pressure washer and mowers for $20 ea. They just need the carbs cleaned. Same with the leaf blower/trimmers. The 2 strokes may need new fuel lines and the carb cleaned with new carb diaphram gaskets.
Fun trip today Mike
Great job Mike 😀👍❤️❤️
Masaya ako habang pinapanood ko Ang iyong video idol mike
Read my mind in stacking those lawnmowers. Great outing Mike.
1700 views in 17 minutes.
Go Mike!
Those lamps are pretty. Especial the one with stained glas in it.
Gardening on hold for while slowing 🐌 down
Another great entertaining video Mike. Thanks Buddy. Rob T Australia 🇦🇺
I've never bought a lawn mower, pick them up at the curb, clean the carb and it's all good.
niceeeee good job those are expensive brand new
Scrap and Stuff 👌👍🏼🍻
"It fell off Captain","How is that possible Mr. Scott?" "Can you fix it Bones?" "Damnit Jim,I'm a doctor not god." 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Couldn't help it.
Awesome job man!! Love the videos as always
Well done. 💙❤️
Scrappity scrap scrap 👊👍
that's why I always use noctane free gas in all my mowers, weed eaters and small engine stuff. noctane free gas is more expensive but it will never gum up in the carb, go bad or anything like that and your equipment will run better and last longer. it's hard to find in some areas but it's out there usually at farm stores that sell gas. it's usually a little over a buck higher than regular gas but well worth it keeping your small engines running good.
Cool finds Mike...I love the pans...No telling what they sold for from Macy's...People just blow my mind at what they throw out...God bless from East Texas.
IT IS A CRAZY WORLD, NOT LONG AGO I EVEN FOUND MONEY.
@@thriftkingdom that's cool...
@@thriftkingdom In the past 8-9 years I have found 12 hundred dollar bills, 4 fifty dollar bills and numerous smaller denominations, I have a route that I go on my bike, sometimes walking the bike around the perimeter of stores, most of the finds are in winter when people are wearing gloves or if not, their hands get numbed by the cold and when they reach to get their keys out they pull money out too. If you ever see a trash line of paper around a store parking lot you might want to have a look.
Hey Mikey!!!! we wanna see
a follow up on that pressure
washer we will be watching here.👍🏼🤣
I bet it only needs replacement parts.
I have that same Grill, best grill ever.
Fun times
Hi
Mike. Great job 👍👌👍
I appreciate how you take the time to put the stuff you're not taking back up in a pile and leave it nice and neat I have no problem with people grabbing stuff that I'm throwing out but in my area when they get done it looks like a bomb went off and then my trash is blowing down the street makes me mad you do it the right way for sure
12:10 “Probably Definitely Most Likely gonna hang on to….” Lmao
Awesome mate, great scrap run and definitely pull those carbys off the pressure washer and the lawn mower and give them some carby cleaner I bet they start.
Love your humor 😅
Them Chief Spans are real wide!!!; )
Hi Mike. I think I seen them Subaru pressure washers at Sam's. Most likely they left ethanol gas in it. And turned to jell. Ethanol will eat the fuel lines too.
Good afternoon Mike! The Subaru pressure washer looks just like mine. I bought mine at Sams club. Really great washer and very reliable with just the bare minimum of maintenance. Great find! Definitely worth keeping. Keep the great videos coming! Whatever happened to riding you bicycle? Please let us know.
Nice finds there .
Awesome haul.
your editing is better every video
Yes, look after your back! What if you get hurt and we don’t have your fun videos to watch anymore? Think of us & our pain!!

Mowers Blowers & Wackers galore
Guten Abend aus Germanii. 👍👌💪💵💰
good stuff bro. you got it for free. do a follow-up video on this stuff mike
I got my subaru pressure washer from Walmart and it was under $500 so that's a really nice find. I bought a SunJoe electric before that for $69 on a black friday. I wanted my porch, steps and sidewalks powerwashed and my driveway. And the front of the house only. It gets green stuff on it because of a lack of sun. I got $800 was the lowest price so I bought a Sunjoe. I washed the front. When I did the 2 1/2 car driveway, I sat on an old office chair with wheels. I washed and scooted forward as I went. I did that because I have arthritis in my lower back and I have COPD. As I was 90% done, a police officer came over and asked if he could help me. I told him I managed to do it and save $700. I asked him if he wanted to borrow it to do his. he was hesitant and I told him I have a 5 yr warranty on it so break it and I'll get a new one. haha. He did all his drive and sidewalks and house. It literally made it shine. Then two other neighbors wanted to borrow it. Sure, go ahead. I may need a favor sometime.
I like the fact you go in really nice area's and score some neat stuff. Scrapping, selling, etc. I had an old small gas grill. I took out the insides and had a piece of heavy metal cut to fit inside. Now I use it for charcoal fires. Nothing beats a hamburger or hot dog on a grill. I talk a lot, one more story!
Take a nice size limb that fell off a tree. Let's say it is at least 12 inches wide. Take your chain saw and cut up 1 and 2 inch wide slices. After you have about 40 of those, sit down with a small ax and bust them up into pieces. Instead of spending $20 on a bag of charcoal, use that wood for free. I have about five, 5 gallon buckets with wood I broke up to dry and use for cookouts. I saved one piece of round tree branch about 1 inch thick. I put a small wire and 2 nails on the back. I use my wood burning tool and it says " I was Groot". I get laughs. I saw someone was selling that on the internet. Thanks for the video, can't wait for the next one!
Lol great haul.
