"Being shit is invaluable!" - I'm subscribing to this philosophy! Love it

Well done Mia. The psychological effort of a self supported Ultra must be huge! Very down to earth vid. Thanks 👍

Mia I love your channel -thank you for documenting your journey. I'm a much older female ultramarathoner who only discovered ultra's at the age of 39, 17 yrs ago !
I am just returning to running after a 2 year absence following foot reconstructive surgery after an injury on a 50 miler. I found your channel whilst searching for female runners and in particular British runners - just so so few which makes me very sad. I'm commenting on 1.1.23 and want to wish you all the best for 2023 🙂

Brilliant stuff. I did a 21 mile hill race on the same day in South Wales and that was tough also. It's great to follow your story, love it.👍

Goal here is to do an Ultra :) after I do a marathon (September) lol. I did think "you like your rice" ha ha...That must have been challenging running when so icy. That coat looked so cozy. Well done Mia !

Oooo awesome! Thanks Arlene! Do you have any ultras in mind or is the goal just a general - "run an ultra" sort of thing?

Yes. The G2E next year ;) i have lived In Norway longer than I lived In Scotland, but I am Scottish and would love to try it. I have weight that has to come off so its hard to see that i will manage it. But Mia, you have already helped me «not to give a F What others think», Im not «there « yet but getting there. I would never have ran outside among people, but now i do ;)
Loving your podcast and saving an episode for tomorrows run ;)

Yo Mia this was great. You have a great attitude and perspective. Nothing better than coming home to a dog too. There is something amazing that happens between the ears when we go to those dark places that we voluntarily go out to do!

Like all your videos that was a good and honest one. Even the pros get it wrong at times and maybe that is part of the attraction on doing ultras, there is always an unknown element that can change things. Keep plugging away.
