1992 fxr clutch hub rebuild replacement 80ci evo fxst softail flt touring harley tatro machine
Should the bearing not be replaced that the hub goes into?
how do you check the Diaphragm Clutch Spring to make sure its still has good tension in it to still work right or time to get another one
take it out for a ride and give it a couple of good full power shifts. that will tell you what you have.

Keenan, whats your opinion on the Jims bearing kit that does away with the pressed on sleeve on the main shaft and included a sealed bearing on the inner primary?
they suck because a ball bearing will never take the load that a roller bearing will. you only use the ball bearing with a belt drive and they fail all the time.
i like using the bearing race with the stop lip on it and the stock roller bearing. it fixes the problem. s&s cycle and mid-usa makes these races.

@@TatroMachine VERY HELPFUL, Thanks Keenan!
I saw that the Improved Inner Primary Bearing Race is For 2008-Up only. I gather they don't work for Evo?
@@kennethwise7108 Evo . Clutch hub bearings are from 1983 to 1996. Then they changed over to a twin cam basket from 1998 in the basket goes to. 2006. Optimal is to have an Evo with a 98 to 2006 basket. But if you change over you have to change the inner primary bushings and starters and things like this.
@@MrChopemup thanks! Appreciate it
Keenan for president or barefoot in Kentucky
Easily the most expensive bearings on the entire bike.
i think the crank bearings would be more.

No it’s not . You can find them cheap they are the same as harley just not with the harley name . They’re about 15 bucks . Some sealed and open . Do some investigating . Measure the bearing and you’ll find it . Harley doesn’t Go out of their way, to, make bearings to be different . They only do ,,if they have to . So a typical clutch hub bearing will fit even for instance, a Japanese transmission...etc or other applications .
