I thought bucket lost his mind or lost a bet , owed a favor or ate something that impared his judgment to add this parasite to his otherwise glorious shows. Bucket if you ever read this it was for the best that you deleted this atrocity.. I say thankyou! Thank You Bucket for invoking emotion through sound. The sound which you create is like no other. Your auditory excellence that you share & gift the world with is uniquely magical..... BUCKET YOU take anyone who is blessed or lucky enough to have your magic bestowed upon their ears on a journey... to a much better place..... this was a good decision. You create more than music, more than art, you create emotion, a state of mind, a glorious place in BucketheadLand Thank you, you are Loved. You are Needed , you are Appreciated. Thank you again!
Her songs arent that bad for a highschool band just starting out. She has potential if she works hard... But we are talking about one of the greatest musicians ever to grace planet Earth. He deserves to play with elite talent.
yea if zappa were still around he'd probly be in his band.. zappa woulda probably called him up personally and asked him to jam i feel like they both have a similar chaotic style of doing guitar solos, Zappa woulda liked him
GOAT YES, the once in lifetime opportunity to see him with a singer is a GIFT. Accept that hersinging matches the fact he doesn’t need a Taylor Swift.. his style and her voice match his unmatched style.. Deli Creeps and C2B3 (wish I saw Deli Creeps with Maximum bob..) but the C2B3 show goes down as one of top 3 times I’ve seen him out of the 75+..
I bailed on going to the Boston show because I hated the album she did with Buckethead. Seems like I made a good call. Too bad she wasn't kicked off the tour before that show. I would have gone.
Geez I wonder what happened. Buck has made a LOT of music over the years with tons of different people, and there’s been plenty of highs and lows through that process. Never in all those years have I ever seen him so ashamed of a collaboration that he removes all mention of it - let alone in the middle of a tour.
I kinda don't understand what made Bucket think its a good idea to collab with her on the first place. She destroyed every show and some people regret even going and say they wasted their money.. she just cant sing.. 😔
It’s not really who I am to say anything bad about people, so I pretty much stayed out of the tumultuous hurricane of comments connected to their videos lol Bucket is a beautiful human and he deserves to do what is right for himself and whatever makes him happy. I wish him all the best and look forward to more of the live videos ❤️🎸
That’s how I felt. I was super nervous. Honestly it was way better without vocals. Plus I got a toy from the Big B Himself!! He looked right at me and my KFC beanie, and handed me Battleship
Don't feel bad. Girl has zero stage presence and is not a great singer either. She mostly just distracted from Buckethead's masterful playing. I don't ill wish her, I hope she has a successful career, but this collaboration was not a great one. Enjoy the show!

I think BH fans want to see him only because of his oddity and knowing next to nothing about him has an appeal , Lets not forget the super fine thing his guitar prowess like no other and vocals are not needed , Possibly the finest player alive today and have been lucky enough to see him twice live !
That's awesome that you've seen him twice! I'm finally getting to see him this Friday! Been a fan of the man since I first came across Giant Robot in 2007 in 7th grade.
honestly as harsh as this is, i’m glad she’s out. that album was bad, she’s not a good singer and she cannot write lyrics. she was the worst part of the performance. it was super awkward when she was on. she skipped verses and i even caught her lip syncing in philly. i don’t think she deserves to be bullied or harassed but i think her and bucket should’ve been more honest with the fans. she said she would only play a small part of the show and she hogged most of the set. none of the venues advertised her, they just said buckethead so that’s false advertising. bucket should’ve known this wouldn’t have worked out. for my first buckethead show; while he was great, i was a little disappointed
I travelled all the way from the UK to see Bucket in New York. I have to say she was awful. Bucket is one of the greatest musicians of all time and always surrounds himself with talented people so I really don't know why she was there. Even when Bucket and the band were playing Interworld, for some strange reason she was in the middle of the stage pissing around with a pedal board! I feel happy for the people going to see Buckethead on the rest of his tour because he's the one we want to see. I hope I get the chance to see him again because he was awesome.
@@navysealblackwater he was great. Played my favorite songs at the end of the concert: Soothsayer and Jordan. He handed out toys and let people touch his kill switch. It was a fun show
It seemed that no one overall appreciated the collab. Better to let her go and move on. Buckethead has so much more to offer than working with someone who “has potential”.
I just saw Buckethead last night here in Seattle; thankfully no Madeline. But you could tell Buckethead was a bit off and the band wasn't particularly tight. Still, it was great to see him live again. The last time I saw him was quite a few years ago, and the first time I saw him was at a small club here in Seattle in the late 90's. Now THAT was incredible. It was all the props, all the kung-fu, and all the robot dancing. Amazing.
I saw Buckethead for the first time in NYC at Sony Hall on 22 May this year. Madeline or Cyrille or whatever they call themselves was horrible. They attempted a cover of "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac, and it was about the same as hearing someone sing it on karaoke at a shitty bar in a small town somewhere. Most of the rest of the time, they made weird ambient "oooh" noises and played with a pedal board on the floor. It was hugely distracting. Bucket and the rest of the band was top notch, though. Wish Cyrille wouldn't have been part of the experience, honestly.
I feel too scared off from seeing another concert from the whole experience. I was at the same show. Buckethead played well and so did the rest of the instrumental crew that played with him. But she killed the vibe. I didn’t even get to see nunchucks or the gifts or anything! It made me really sad
My parents, brother, sister, and my fiancée went to see them last week (I was very sick, didn't go), and they were asking me what the heck was with the singer?! They kept telling me she didn't fit in the show. They're fans, but not mega fans. I think it was a mistake to tour with her as part of the act. People are going to Buckethead shows because they want to see Bucket kill it on stage; like he does every tour, every show... I feel like she detracted from his performance so much that this had to happen. I really tried to give it a few listens, but I've seen videos, I have the album... it's not for me. I'm glad that it seems like Buckethead enjoyed making the album, and it's great he continues to work and branch out, but Madeline just isn't the fit. Hopefully, this will all be a fleeting memory in a couple of years.
Attended in Boston and I just couldn't get through the whole show :( Like ppl saying it felt like she totally took over and switched up the whole vibe. Doing Stevie nicks Rhianna covers. I didn't come for that. I honestly don't know why he didn't just tour with Azam Ali.
I don’t know if I’ll ever get to see Buckethead as only discovered him 4 years ago .. I watched some recent shows and didn’t think she did him any favours.. however Bucket sounded amazing.. I think I would have been disappointed so think this for the best .. ❤
I’m a bit confused about the whole “outing the public place they met in” part. Is the insinuation that Buckethead is a regular somewhere, she met him there and then fans were told where he hangs out, ergo invasion of privacy? Same with the van picture? If anyone can explain to my dumb ass it would be appreciated 😂
@@yarfamo Is he as beautiful as we all imagine him to be? I mean we've got that old high school yearbook photo but I'd bet my pants he's absolutely gorgeous to this day.
That's how I felt, too. How is a rich 20 year old who had absolutely everything handed to them by rich mom & dad gonna even attempt to write anything about life & pain? She did not complement Buckethead's music whatsoever. It seems to me that she has never even listened to Bucket's music before or even knows what prog metal is.
@@groovydeath well sorry to break it to ya, even kids whos PARENTS are wealthy still go through plenty of issues. i have a couple friends with rich parents and they are the most bleak depressed kids lol
I saw them in VT. I was very surprised she posted a pic of them in the van (which I saw). He is indeed private and when he got 3 x encores he resulted to playing his solo hits. He was great when I saw him. Shame about the split but music is creativity and sometimes people have a different opinion etc. I am sure more will eventually come out.
I have seen him in VT 3 times so far at higherground bit ended up passing on this show as there were others close by I had yet to experience but I love how he always goes out when I see him in VT.
they may have had some chemistry in the beginning, but it turned sour. nothings going to stop me from being at Friday show, even if Buckethead had a frog as a lead vocalist I'm still gonna be there to see Big B
Nothing wrong with trying new things, although only top vocalists should be able to perform with Buckethead. Even then I'd rather just listen to him play on his own.
I get what bucket was trying to do I don't blame him. Unfortunately, I don't think she understood what he was trying to do and didn't fit. He shouldn't be discouraged and try it with a good singer down the road again. No offense to Madeline.
Was at Seattle last night and was surprised when I could hear a dude singing for the soundcheck. I wasn't a fan of her sound, but I also hope it wasn't fan hate that caused a rift. I was nervous about the shows and was a tad relieved when I was told she wasn't there, but I hope it was an issue between them for their own reasons.
I knew the tour wouldn’t work out with a small artist like Madeline. Buckethead is better off on his own or with singers on the same level like Serj Tankian or Azam Ali. Just a single album would’ve been good, but a tour? Not so much
Mmm... yes and no? You have a point, but I'd love to see him do a collab EP/tour with Mike Patton or Maynard James Keenan. Not sure if the energies would vibe, but there'd magic in there somewhere
Something tells me she got political and irrational with the contractual terms, and Bucket just wasn't having it "Im not going 50/50 with someone that's dragging the show down. Bye!"
WOW! :)))))) The shows must have gone terrible. Buckethead clearly regrets ever being associated with Madeline. He should have known better to not to invite her on tour, and she should have known better not to accept the offer. The record they did together could have been fine on itself if it had remained as a one-off sort of thing, and only that.
I absolutely love Bucket. His Denver show was stellar, then she would come out and burst the bubble. Really horrible. Bass and drums are excellent and tight.
I went to the show in Denver on June 1st. After reading about how rough some of the first few shows were I was kinda worried about how it would turn out. I tried going in with an open mind since some others said at other shows she wasn’t as bad. In my opinion the parts of the show she was in were unbearable to watch. There was obvious lip syncing,(her holding the mic away from her mouth and hearing her voice), her just making sounds into the mic, it was hard to get through. At least when Buckethead played he absolutely killed it which made up for it. I still wish that the show was just him going solo. I wish her the best but she definitely brought the show down substantially.
Meow meow meow 😂 I was there too. Worst Buckethead show I've ever seen in my life! I wish this breakup happened 2 weeks ago and we didn't have to listen to that shit!
The Eugene, OR show tonight was vintage Buckethead. After watching some footage from earlier in the tour, and hearing about a major change to the set mid-tour, I was worried that he was going to be less than sharp. Not at all. He came out slaying "Whitewash," and his "Maskatron" was crisp. Featuring extended grooves of classics like "Night of the Slunk," "Gory Head Stump," "Interworld," and "Soothsayer," the rhythm section was tight and let Bucket do his thing. The extended version of "Jowls" was punctuated by cover tunes, most notably "I want it that way" by the Backstreet Boys, which made me laugh. Bucket had the whole McDonald Theater singing Backstreet Boys. The vocals weren't great, and the second vocalist (not the drummer) came out reading lyrics from a cell phone... but the vocals added something to the show without getting in the way. After the Jowls/various covers medley, the vocals only came back out once in the second half for a fun cover of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs." Ending with a live rhythm section (playing to the classic backing track) with Big B for "Jordan" was pretty magical. Apart from a couple of times fighting feedback and once losing a pick, his performance was virtually flawless. 47.3 out of 10; would highly recommend bringing the whole coop!
Damn I wish this had happened two weeks ago. The Denver show was great but her super basic, 9 minute songs were tough to get through. If you’re going to write songs with one of the greatest guitarists ever wouldn’t you want him to do something interesting in guitar? I could’ve played them
He has a really fucking epic and blazing guitar solo in one of the songs, I forgot which one but I think it's called Solar and Lunar Rain? Not sure. Anyway, I thought her lyrics were a snoozefest, big-time. Extremely cringe lyrics. Very basic & simple. "Knock-knock-knockin'" wow we've all never heard that trope in lyrics before.
@parkerthompson3447 I was there on the 19th. I was so stoked to finally see Buckethead and on my birthday nonetheless... only to be so let down I left right after night of the slunk when i seen she was coming back. Im not trying be an asshole but she was awful. Then since i made my buddy leave i reimbursed him for his ticket. Got the tickes late so it was.$330 down the drain. It was the third time I bought tickets, things got screwed up in 2018 and 2019 and plans fell through. It's all good though the September and October shows will be awesome
i don't understand how or why she even got to collab with bucket in the first place. her only other song on spotify is from 4 years ago, and it only has a measly 2,000 plays...
I had no idea buckethead was on tour for recent album (girl singing). I tried, but I couldn’t listen to her. I made mental note (I’m forgetful) never listen to that white, green album of bucketheads because of that girl puppet on cover
I saw bucket at the Ardmore on the 19th and 20th of may and I didn’t know she was gonna be there, even though both shows were great most of the songs they played were the new ones with Madeline. Even though I thought the songs were good and Madeline I thought was a alright singer I was kinda disappointed that bucket didn’t get to play songs like welcome to buckethead land, Nottingham lace, toy store and more. Still it was a great show but if I see Buckethead again I just wanna see buckethead and possibly brain
Wish her well but her gone is for the better of everyone, including herself. You don't wanna tour around and embarrass yourself on stage next to professionals and then read comments just like this one, that'd mentally devastate me. She can grow and improve or simply do her own thing in a more appropriate environment, this wasn't it. Also unsure what was going through Bucket's head. Uhh, sorry about that one.
He's great doing the shows by him self, he's the star, we're here to listen to his wicked guitar playing. Your the best man, I wouldn't want to have it any other way. You allways blow us away around the world with your 🎸 playing dude. Thanks buckethead! You Rock.
I think they should have mixed her audio better like on the album. She didn’t need a 2 hour set. Coulda just done the album and let Bucket play his stuff.
Indeed, Seeing Buckethead is on my bucket list of guitarists to see live. Hearing the nightmares of this tour I passed. I may have to reconsider. Especially, if an Ohio date gets announced.
Trust me B you’re better off without her. Sad because talk about the opportunity of a lifetime. I could only dream of performing with B on stage. She definitely blew it.
I honestly wasn’t aware of this, I guess this is good new for me?????????? I’m going to see Buckethead in a few months so I guess a bullet was dodged given what people have been saying in the comments. Keep in mind I haven’t watched any recent live footage so that’s why I’m unaware of the situation.
I saw Buckethead this past weekend at the 9:30 Club in DC! It was just Buckethead and a drummer (Brewer???) Up until now, I have only seen Buckethead on UA-cam. I also listen to his recordings in the car. I must say he is even more incredible in person! They did War Pigs by Black Sabbath and the drummer sang. It was awesome!
I saw him in Ardmore and left soon after the intermission when she took over the stage again. Was glad to hear some of my favorite songs, and meet some cool people. But was disappointed that the tour wasn’t billed as a duet tour. I would not have traveled to see this performance knowing she would be performing.
So my show is tomorrow night - Friday June 6th at the MacDonald Theater in Eugene, Oregon.* (*See below for special message to attendees) Personally, I was suspending judgement. Although I wasn't all that jazzed by their recording, I was willing, if not happy, to see how they performed live. Half of me was willing, and the other half, admittedly, was hoping for something like this. I will give y'all an update this Saturday. *Eugene Show attendees: I will be giving away Buckethead stickers and magnets that I had made to celebrate Bucket's triumphant return, as well as my 61st birthday next week (Am I the oldest Buckethead fan alive? - sincerely doubt it - he's too good!). COME AND GET YOUR FREE GIFT FROM ME - I will be wearing a Peanuts Themed Buckethead shirt (one of a kind- I had it made - features Buckethead and Linus in the Great Pumpkin Patch) that says "It's the Great Ax-Man, Charlie Brown" Sticker and Magnet similarly themed ;) See you there, my fellow Bucket-heads 😍

No Nunchucks, but did have a gift bag in Portland Maine last week.
He had the gift bag in Boston 🛍️
And letting audience play the Killswitch!
@@enjoi62137 Yea he did all those same things in the RI show...what are people making up and why?
@@enjoi62137 I was at the Ardmore show and he didn't hand out toys, use nunchucks, or let audience play killswitch
Did the thing Lennon didn't.
Thank goodness he did!
Im really glad lets Go Buckethead!
Saw them on Memorial day. Didn't know she was even a thing. Didn't really care for her. I came for Buckethead, glad she's done.
Attended in Boston and I just couldn't get through the whole show :( Like ppl saying it felt like she totally took over and switched up the whole vibe. Doing Stevie nicks Rhianna covers. I didn't come for that. I honestly don't know why he didn't just tour with Azam Ali.
I was most unimpressed with her in every regard when I saw buckethead live in Denver on Saturday night. He can do way better.
So, he let her go, he let her go, he let her go...???
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see what you did there!
good one
I don’t know if I’ll ever get to see Buckethead as only discovered him 4 years ago .. I watched some recent shows and didn’t think she did him any favours.. however Bucket sounded amazing.. I think I would have been disappointed so think this for the best ..
❤
Was at the Ardmore show. She completely ruined it for me. Never thought I'd ever say I regret a Bucket show, but that one I did .
That show cost me $200
I’m a bit confused about the whole “outing the public place they met in” part. Is the insinuation that Buckethead is a regular somewhere, she met him there and then fans were told where he hangs out, ergo invasion of privacy? Same with the van picture? If anyone can explain to my dumb ass it would be appreciated 😂
Correct. You interpreted it correctly.
I saw Brian at GJUSTA once. I doubt that’s “the place” but running into B happens if you live in area. We’re all respectful so never issues.
@@yarfamo Is he as beautiful as we all imagine him to be? I mean we've got that old high school yearbook photo but I'd bet my pants he's absolutely gorgeous to this day.
Just listened to Solar and Lunar, awful. What does a 20 year old faux hippie know about anything about life.

Saw Them at the Mishawaka last week. I'm not surprised.
they may have had some chemistry in the beginning, but it turned sour. nothings going to stop me from being at Friday show, even if Buckethead had a frog as a lead vocalist I'm still gonna be there to see Big B
Nothing wrong with trying new things, although only top vocalists should be able to perform with Buckethead. Even then I'd rather just listen to him play on his own.
Damn I watched him in PA and I didn't know she was going to go. I just wanted to watch a buckethead only show
Same. I drove from Western PA too 😣 at least I got myself a Philly cheesesteak and went to Wegmans🤣
Not so much
Buckethead is too good to have a vocalist
I’d rather see him with no singer
Or if he does have a band and a singer I think a metal singer would fit best with his harder stuff at least
Mmm... yes and no? You have a point, but I'd love to see him do a collab EP/tour with Mike Patton or Maynard James Keenan. Not sure if the energies would vibe, but there'd magic in there somewhere
Never piss off a guy with taxidermy skills.
Something tells me she got political and irrational with the contractual terms, and Bucket just wasn't having it
"Im not going 50/50 with someone that's dragging the show down. Bye!"
I think she may have been in breach of contract, which got her kicked off immediately. Proud of Bucket for sticking up for himself.
Bucket needed to get back to his roots of whisper/thunder guitar playing - he certainly didn't need Madeline.
Definitely a bizarre time for buckethead. I'm a huge bucket fan but she absolutely sucked
I saw Buckethead

After the Jowls/various covers medley, the vocals only came back out once in the second half for a fun cover of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs."
Ending with a live rhythm section (playing to the classic backing track) with Big B for "Jordan" was pretty magical.
"Knock-knock-knockin'" wow we've all never heard that trope in lyrics before.
sadly knowing the music industry she probably got caught doing drugs on tour and buckethead fired her.
I'm going to see Buckethead for the 1st time at the cave show in Tennessee near the end of July.
Can't wait!
I'm going to that show too. This will be my 4th show.
Tried so hard to get tickets but it sold out so fast. Going to Atlanta for first time
Damn. I wish this happened before the show I went to. Hopefully he tours in 2025 .
He already announced new tour dates

I know.. I'm catching the DC show September 14th and hopefully Philly Oct 28th. Even if Iave to go alone
@@RegurgiNate84 I'll be there at the 9:30 club 👍

I was there on the 19th.
For me Madeline is a kind of "Yoko Ono" ^^
She made Yoko sound like Whitney Houston
i don't understand how or why she even got to collab with bucket in the first place. her only other song on spotify is from 4 years ago, and it only has a measly 2,000 plays...
I had no idea buckethead was on tour for recent album (girl singing). I tried, but I couldn’t listen to her. I made mental note (I’m forgetful) never listen to that white, green album of bucketheads because of that girl puppet on cover
Same. It wasn’t an add to playlist
Buckethead and who?
Sounds like she is the Yoko Ono of Buckehead land.
I just seen him on the 4th/June. She was there. She ruined it. Glad she's gone.
All I know is I'm gonna get to see him this Friday in Eugene so it'll just be like a solo show. Glorious...
I prefer his solo live stuff i wish he would hire epic drummers and just whatever minimal. fan since 89 ty more than i could say
Ill see him next friday in LA.
Long live Buckethead!
Saw her with him in NYC last month. To say she was shet would be kind.
LOL. yeah
Good she was terrible at Sony hall
Yay!
He's great doing the shows by him self, he's the star, we're here to listen to his wicked guitar playing. Your the best man, I wouldn't want to have it any other way. You allways blow us away around the world with your 🎸 playing dude. Thanks buckethead! You Rock.
More bucket🎸😁👍
I still listen to my favorites and it helps. We are at war with an old system of subversion.
We are battling a spiritual war ! Buckethead is supplying the shields and ammo for our side ! 😎
I think they should have mixed her audio better like on the album. She didn’t need a 2 hour set. Coulda just done the album and let Bucket play his stuff.
He needs to add an Ohio show now.
Indeed, Seeing Buckethead is on my bucket list of guitarists to see live. Hearing the nightmares of this tour I passed. I may have to reconsider. Especially, if an Ohio date gets announced.
The people at Nelson Ledges Quarry are trying to get him. Possibly July 6th.
Trust me B you’re better off without her. Sad because talk about the opportunity of a lifetime. I could only dream of performing with B on stage. She definitely blew it.
madeline confirmed she is no longer touring with big b. BYE FELICA YOU WILL NOT BE MISSED
Thank God it's gone ! I would not attend a show with it there. Now we can cheer for B U C K E T H E A D ! Woo

THANK GOD..... not sure what Big B. was thinking with this thing.
