So true. Soldiers are the hardest to cost. I dont know what direction I should take my character. As dps you can only use glistening edge. Even ge is hard to use because of long animation. As tank, mage will destroy you. Not only you use def gears, you are forced to build def because damage comes from it. This class needs some changes.

Hi, Jobert! Thank you for both watching and commenting. I definitely agree--it can be difficult to know which way to take a soldier in since they are a blend of DPS and tank. They never really seem to have enough of anything and their slow animations don't help. I guess it would depend on what kind of "good" gear you get first--if you get a lot of good monsters and weapons, go DPS heavy. If you get a lot of good helmets and armor, maybe go tanky? Ultimately, though, you're right--this class needs a bit of a boost to make them better.

Soldiers are hard to play but some advice- get as much ddxxl gear as possible, infuse armor to purple before swords, and lastly when given the chance to go for anything pick monsters. People are more likely to bring u along for the ride that is ~unison league~ if u have a good arsenal of mons

Wow as F2P Soldier Main I recently made it to 1.1m gs but seeing this video now makes me feel my hard work was for nothing it seems when I do PvP everyone is using Mage, and Berserk and that’s not a very good match up when your a soldier. I tend to get 1 shotted a lot my soldier’s animations are way slower compared to berserkers not only that when I’m in near death situations my uni sometimes never makes it to 100% it’s usually around 87%-93% even when I almost kill my opponent for some reason there Unison makes it 100%. Last, in my opinion Soldiers really need to get a serious work on to make it live up to it’s role.

Hi, Mikey. Congratulations on the gs! That's a big milestone!
But, yes, I would agree that the road to becoming a great soldier is a long and tough one. They definitely need a little love. Some faster animations would probably help--I think they're honestly best for support at the moment, with abilities like Imperial Territory and Charisma, you really can't go wrong.
      Good luck and happy playing!

Okay so I just got to watching this one and for the most part you are right about the class, and I believe I wrote some tidbits about the soldier here and there.
But through it all, Soldiers are that class that requires a ton of maintenance to master and perfect, because one wants damage, so Attack and Defense as much as possible, while bringing gear to counteract the weakness, which is the mage.
Right off the bat, if mage is what a soldier fears, that must have a Null Magic proc in their main slot. Null proc up front, skill level 7 max infused (very important), and concentration opener (very important).
Basically, by taking the steps I wrote above, a soldier should be safe from mages in the beginning of guild battles and in Colo, or at the very least be able to handle them better. The procs must also be on point so having damage down XXL's, even if it's a mixture of both physical and magic will do the player using the class wonders.
Now if one would complain about the class not hitting hard enough or not being sturdy as they should be, then they should go Lancer for raw might and cancer (negative pressure), or rook for both the tank factor and the cancer (Devoted Sacrifice).
A player should only pick soldier if they're looking to have a mixture of offense, defense, and support, all of which they provide.
Defensively, they can handle an Archer if built just right, tank Lancers if their defense hold up, and watch 0's fly on the screen when ur Nulls don't let you down on a mages Starbursts. In top of that, being one of three classes with a Null bypassing attack in Glistening Edge is huge, and if one considers playing Glorious guard alongside an enchanted Iron Fortress... Well the combo will yield them a 40 percent damage mitigation alongside the HP buff.
For support just having Imperial Territory is a nice touch to have for any guild wanting to sustain their unison. For most active guilds this is not needed so long as everyone presses that Unison button fast. For those that might not have that luxury with their players, having an active soldier protect a CPUs unison gauge can make a big difference.
In the end, Soldier is a class that has a unique playstyle that sets them apart from the other classes. Jack of all trades yes, unison damage at average of course, but overall the class can now hold up better in today's meta.
But yup: one just needs to know what class they will want to invest in because flip flopping around between classes means ur divulging resources around where it might take a person farther if they just stick with a main class first and do the others on the side as time goes on.
But yeah.... Looks like lancer will be ur next vid before touching on the extra classes....I really do wonder how you'll touch on the extra classes because barring rook, Treasure hunters and berserkers are like a 3 in one.... Might be a bit more content to go over.

Nulls are indeed a wonderful thing and will definitely help soldiers deal with mages.
This is good advice. Soldiers are also cancer to archers.
Soldiers really do have some wonderful moves, even if their animations are slow. Glistening Edge FTW!
      ...
      AND IMPERIAL TERRITORY!
This is true; I think they've improved a bit since the release of the most recent ring.
Also true--multi-classing can slow a person's progress. If they get pulled in too many directions, it can be hard to master one class. But playing around with the other classes can also enhance gameplay in that it keeps the game fresh and exciting for older players who grow accustomed to their main class and want something new.
SHHHH. It was supposed to be a secret. >.

@@KingsEntertainmentReviews lmao oh it's fine if the cats out the bag... Feel free to switch it up by throwing a vid on treasure hunters instead XD just to throw a curve ball.
And yup: I can't say much else that you didn't cover. Actually I never even thought of soldiers as the jack of all trades, but the more I think if it, the more it's like...." Yeah they really aren't masters of any one thing", but I think they sum up the class that incorporates a decent balance of everything really.
And whether it's good or bad, I don't think soldiers will get anything more potent in the future. However, if they give soldiers the option to get moves that don't require defense, then that would be solid in that they can become more flexible with the magic defense stat. But then that would make em a weaker lancer in a sense.
But yeeeeah....I really don't know how you'll cover the extra classes. Tho I feel like you'll have fun playtesting each possible build tho so hopefully you enjoy!
Big tip on physical zerker: a guy told me about his initial thoughts on physical zerker, and you may need to split that sub playstyle into two parts: the PvE and PvP builds, because in PvP, Evil Quakes good....buuuuut in events, if one wants to go physical zerker, apparently it's better to run Shower of Carnage or Blood impact alongside Recurring Nightmare and Heart sacrifice: turns out there's plenty of synergy with those 4 moves.

@@KingsEntertainmentReviews lmao I ain't into baseball like that, tho I do love when a fight breaks out with them XD
And yeeeeeaaaah.... Those extra classes got multiple builds. And just to low-key add salt: that multi-hit move rooks got, Sword of Innocence (?), I have a feeling that was made because this one old guide I read on rooks mentioned how surprisingly enough: most of the rook's offensive procs come from the bows from an Archer, which if you consider how rare it is to get specialized Extra class weapons, makes sense.
And I guess the devs noticed that and just thought, "hey, let's make a glass rook"! Now.... Idk how a glass rook would work because I've never seen such a thing, but I think that is even more fabled than battle cleric XD

Something that wasn't brought up though is its uni gain capabilities. In PvE, Soldier is the fastest uni gaining class in the game due to some abilities having extra uni gain passively in the ability. The 2 abilities are Antagonize and Glistening Edge. I normally get my uni within the first 20-30 sec of any quest if not sooner because of the type of build I run. To make it easier to visualize, I tend to get uni when people are only halfway on their uni guage.
Soldier may be "slow" for most of its abilities but Raging Slash in PvP is the 2nd fastest animation in the game and in PvE Antagonize is faster then half of the other classes abilities making it average in animation speed.
The real issue with Soldier is it lacks AoE abilities. It only has one and hits for little.

Super late here, but one thing that doesn't get NEARLY enough attention that, as a Soldier main, pisses me off the most is the horrible combination of CP and HP. We have the most HP, the least CP, and the least CP+HP. This makes us the easiest to kill, but the hardest to build uni from damage taken.
If you were to burst someone down to near-death, they would get unison. But for Soldier, you'd only get about 80 or 90. There is nothing stopping an entire team from dogpiling a Soldier. You can offset this slightly with HP boosting abilities or Iron Fortress, but that won't do much at all to stop them from outright killing you.

Hi, Grim. That's interesting and also quite peculiar since soldiers were one of the original tanky classes. I wonder why they were designed that way. *Insert Thinking Face Here.*
