Sure, it's possible
If the y position of the thumb tip is greater than the index y position, => 👍
If y position of the thumb tip is less than the index y position => 👎
✋️You may need to add more conditions for each case.
I was going to comment that ,then i saw your comment. It would be nice to lock -unlock house/ doors,gates or the car without carrying keys/remote controls. However i'm not sure about the car application,because i don't know what the stand by consumption is,so if you don't use the car for couple of days, it would deplete the battery,making a nasty surprise
