I haven't read Proust, but I wanted to say that I audibly cheered when you selected it for the ninth prompt. It did seem like the one you're most scared to read. It's great to start something like that so early in the year. Whether or not you finish it in February, that's so great! Maybe I'll start my longest book this month, too. That'd be Les Miserables. 😆
Thank you!!! I LOVE the idea of gradually reading a long book throughout the year so I completely agree… and DO IT! I’m all for reading the big books this year 😶
I can’t wait to read Serpent & the Wings of Night, I’ve had it downloaded from KU for a hot minute and I need to get to it 😅 The struggle of you trying to find a book from Instagram lol 😂😂😂 Best of luck reading this month 👏🏻
❤ I’m currently reading All the light we cannot see - Anthony doerrr The others on my list are; The handover by David Barnett Milk Fed by Melissa Broder and Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher Next month I must read a thriller!!!
I've read Proust a long time ago, pretty sure I didn't finished ^^' But I have no idea how trustful (? faithful maybe?) is the english version. If it's anything near the french one, get ready for super long sentences ^^'
I read Proust for class and it wasn't bad! I prefer his works than Flaubert ones, that i read also for the same class. I don't know how it turns out translated, but the language was accessible and pretty, not to "ancient".
❤️ The reading challenge I've decided to try gave me "humourous fiction" and trusting some lists I chose My sister, the serial killer, which wasn't humorous for me at all... Maybe I'll have to choose something else. Do you have recs?
I always enjoy your videos; they're cozy and warm like a cup of tea :p I have a friend who loves ghost stories so I've got him 'We Have Always Lived In The Castle' as a late Xmas present; thank you for the recommendation 😊
I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I loved Iron Flame a lot more than Fourthwing. More wordbuilding, more politics, more setting up the overall plot of the Empyrean, deeper emotions between the characters… It’s not a perfect book in any mean, but I still loved it a lot. I was so scare about all the bad reviews, but it’s worth the shot! 😊
I really enjoyed it too! I know a lot of people didn't like the relationship issues with violet. I actually thought that it was realistic. I mean everything she thought she knew was wrong so that's gotta have an impact on a person emotionally and how they behave in a relationship!

@@lulun1669 soooo true! The feelings she had were so valid. 🩷 She was doing her best, in her 20 years young mind and heart.
I’m hoping I’m the exact same! I’ve seen such mixed things!!
I'm reading Iron Flame in February. 🙂📚
