This is a video on how to perform both methods of factory reset on a LG X Power. Soft reset and hard reset.

You saved the DAY my Friend! Thank you - for the hard-reset. My phone was stuck ON. I couldn't "power down" it was stuck on "firmware update - do not unplug USB cable" with zero progress for hours. I am very disappointed that you did not show how to do a soft reset as you state in your title. I was so excited as I have spent enormous amounts of time wasted searching for a video to show me how to do this as my 6 year old put a lockscreen on it now I cant use it! I refuse to do a hard reset and lose everything in my phone! My search continues... ugh!!!
