As someone who knows nothing about this beef or either artist, i think it's pretty funny how drake has dropped one song saying kendrick cheated on his wife or whatever, and kendrick calls him a pedophile for three songs straight and threatens to kill him like a dozen times. Really feels like drake is just doing it for the clout while kendrick actually hates his fucking guts.

I’ve listened to meet the grahams like twice, that shit is so terrifying. Genuinely unsettling. Drakes nightmares will be scored with those piano notes
To anyone who isn’t apart of the culture and doesn’t understand the point of this entire beef is Kendrick is from Compton California and dropped a song using a west coast beat (think hard rock for doom music) and Drake is from Toronto Canada and is dropping songs using atlanta beats and with a drill accent, he has been collecting African American memorabilia and essentially taking from African American culture while not even being from America; out of every Drake song you ever listened to; have you ever heard a Toronto style? That’s the entire beef

The A Minor bar has more layers to it than the obvious two. That was like a quadruple entendre. In Kendrick’s diss track Meet The Grahams, the piano was in the key of A Minor. In the A Minor chord all the keys are white, which could refer to Millie Bobby Brown and other white girls who Drake has “befriended” as an adult man in his 30’s.

Kendrick wasn't even fuckin defending R. Kelly, he is against the hypocrisy of creepy or weird artists in other genres not being removed compared to those seen under hip hop. He spoke that if Spotify wants to do this then they better remove people with creepy histories like David Bowie and Marilyn Manson(!!!) still being available on their catalogue. He doesn't want to have his music on services that keep creeps up and pretend like they care.
Gambit vs Gamut Gambit: a device, action, or opening remark, typically one entailing a degree of risk, that is calculated to gain an advantage. "his resignation was a tactical gambit" Gamut: the complete range or scope of something. "the whole gamut of human emotion" People keep saying lately "running the full gambit" and it's weird
Huh, I always thought gambit in that sentence was to say that one was running the entire list of risky actions, like a dungeon. Didn't even know gamut was a word until now

I think you should watch something that compiles so much questionable actions and behavioural hanging out with teenagers as young as 14 year olds from Drake. I don't really see that as just Swifties for men, that's stuff that will take billions from company because of Drake's imago. Apparently CEO's have already said to Kendrick release a statement where he would take things back. Not gonna happen. Now there was a shooting in Drake's house and I really see it being more likely that it is an inside job to get heat off, to blame Kendrick, to get topic changed. It is no differend than what Boeing does when there is billions at stake...
I feel like this beef has done so much for Kendrick internationally. Because Kendrick probably wasn’t well known outside of the states since he doesn’t really tour outside of them and he’s not making hits that can be played internationally. But he reamed Drake a new one and since BBL Drizzy came out, I’ve seen so many people around the world cover it and they’re different cultural music, or in their different interpretations of rap.
With the 69 God thing, I think if he were to go further with disses, he planned to out Drake on some snitching stuff. He has been foreshadowing a lot with his disses.
I feel like this is a really rushed and uninformed interpretation: Ludwig's suggestion that this is the same as "Taylor Swift for boys" and using the very tired analogy of the 11th grade English teacher (i.e. reading too much into the lyrics) totally ignores the fact that rap is *fundamentally* about deeper meanings, symbolism, and layered word-smithing, not to mention that one of the people involved has a PULITZER prize for exactly that. And unlike Taylor Swift, Kendrick is directly addressing the racial and cultural climate of America, what it means to be a celebrity, a parent, a person who possess power, and the question of whether the public deserves to know and hold individuals accountable for activities such a person can literally afford to keep in the dark. But ultimately Ludwig tries to give himself an "out" by claiming he really can't comment on any of this because he isn't informed enough (despite then very clearly giving his own takes). If you don't understand what something means that's okay, but don't project that onto the people producing the tracks without actually doing the homework yourself :/

Drake: nu-uh I dont have a daughter.
