Road Trip to Los Angeles | Hope Dies Last

In August of 2021, I took a road trip to LA, with some of my family. Before that trip I was staying in New York and had keenly been looking forward to visiting LA. Like that was all I could talk about. You all must be wondering why I wanted to visit LA so badly when I was living in probably one of the best cities of the world. Now, LA to me was like a dream. It’s Hollywood. It’s where dreams come true. It’s where Magic happens. And I wanted to go and feel that vibe, be a part of that magic, take it all in and eventually get inspired. I was excited to the point that I transferred that excitement onto everyone around me. I could see it their smiles. Or I mean I like to think those smiles were because of me. Now, I’v had this footage for a while. I was just scared to make a video out of it. I wanted to do justice to the place. But then I thought, making a video, no matter how good or bad, is what LA taught me. It’s not how good you are, it’s about the process. And sometimes, just sometimes, its about quantity over quality, the quality just follows the quantity. So I started going through the footage. And I realised how much I have improved as a filmmaker, how so much has changed in just 6 months. How I have matured so much. How I wrote 3 scripts, made a short film and am about to make a new tv show. Things are good. I am in a good place. And at the time of filming these videos, I wasn’t. I look back and realise how LA was a turning point for my mental health. The happiness that place gave me, stayed with me.
