Y'all hear big words and nothing else- Fawn corrected her and said this was way before prohibition. 1850s- 1910 when JD died. Prohibition was 1920- 1933!
Once again…please find a way to keep Lauren on board. She soothes my brain with her intellectual and relevant questions, her attention to detail, her research etc…
Stop telling our people what they can and can’t do, she is a testimony of prosperity from hard work and determination. Great job sister, and thank you for sharing this story
First off, great interview and very inspiring. Second off, you guys need to expand the cast of the breakfast club like the government needs to expand the Supreme Court , because Loren is dope!
@@jessicac646 I really like Jess too, but for who she is on the show, but Loren brings the journalism to the game. I think they both have space and energy to add to the over all platform.
I like this woman. I've researched her a lot over the past few months, really appreciate her perspective. Fawn, if you're reading this, I'd like to work with you to bring this story to life even more through education curriculum in our schools...
Loren brings a different perspective from everyone on the show past and present. If they don’t keep her I hope she has some platform because i would subscribe
Fawn Weaver is an inspiration to my family. These stories of building within the black community needs to be continously told. Keep up the good work, Breakfast Club. 😊
Such a powerful story…I love everything. It’s a amazing how God works, God has been showing me visions of Jack Daniels the bottle for a couple of weeks…not knowing that God wanted to teach me Jack Daniels story through you ‘Fawn Weaver’ a story of equality between black & white people post slavery. I never knew nearest green (African American) taught Jack Daniels…I’m blown away….I love your story and everything you have overcome….you are a hero Fawn Weaver ❤
Ms Fawn is one of the best teachers you could ever meet. One of the most valuable lessons she shared with my business partners was this: if you believe in your product, never accept less than a $250k investment from investors on your cap table.
She's proud of the fact that she led a revolutionary movement she just said 3 of the 6 major brands are ran by women because she started something cultural/life changing.
Real Talk... I have read the book and visited the Distillery. This is an amazing story that got me thinking, what kind of untold story that's in my family's history that the world needs to hear about??? By the way, Loren is a great asset to the show.
She definitely do, give a wealth of information. I’ve been to her networking events the past 2 yrs and what she gives definitely helps me & my mentor (who’s an amazing woman owned spirts brand herself) I’m grateful to my mentor & friend (hug) for bringing me into this industry ❤Sukari Spirits & REINE, XO
Wow!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 That’s the kind of black person i love to hear. She was not complaining about the system, she went all the way in. That was my biggest problem with Diddy. I feel like he wanted the people he was complaining about to do a lot of the heavy lifting, when they have already made a name for themselves.
Katherine Goble Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer), and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe) are the hidden figures - Mae Jemison was the first female black astronaut in 1992 #GreatInterview
I am so proud of you and your family legacy Mrs. Fawn Weaver! You have made history young lady, and I'm so proud and thankful.👏🏾 🥲 🥰 My uncle has 2 bottles waiting for me whenever I go to Oklahoma 😅 😊... or can the bottles be shipped to another state? 😂
This is probably going to end up a film....hopefully they do it at the level of Color Purple or better. That Lucille's v. Pillsbury story might be a movie too.
I am not even a drinker but I will support this brand because of this woman.. I plan to stock my bar and add this for all my friends and family to drink durning the holidays🙏🏽
I love her philosophy on business. However, as she stated, it is hard to find other people who look like you to invest in your business. Some "other" people are always excited to take ideas and run with them. This was a fantastic interview. The only thing I will change/add is that black people aren't new to success; they are just afraid of it now for some reason. But we can't let that continue to be what dictates how we move forward.
Peace! Congrats to Ms. Weaver for all her accomplishments. I'm looking forward to reading the book. Fun fact: Mae Jemison wasn't one of the acclaimed "Hidden Figures".
Loren is the best !! The sister is bringing the level of professionalism and critical Q&A coverage needed to make this podcast better
Well said. I concur.
I love this story , I have been paying attention since it started ,, Awesome!!
Agreed!!!
I wish she replace ls jess
She was made for this
This should be the most viewed Breakfast Club interview in history, folks! Let's make this happen by spreading the word! 🙏🏾 🙌🏾
I have a feeling it will be one day real soon 😉🥃✨🥃😏

Fawn needs to bring this Whiskey to South Africa! I love JD I think I will appreciate this one even more!
Its so refreshing thst she doesn't gatekeep what she knows from people wanting to get into the industry.
Visited Uncle Nearest yesterday (10/20/24) with my Sorors… I’ve visited three times & always in awe !!! I will continue to support !!!
Fawn Weaver is TRULY 1 of 1
First off, great interview and very inspiring. Second off, you guys need to expand the cast of the breakfast club like the government needs to expand the Supreme Court , because Loren is dope!
They definitely should have hired Loren instead of Jess the mess.
@@jessicac646 I really like Jess too, but for who she is on the show, but Loren brings the journalism to the game. I think they both have space and energy to add to the over all platform.
We don’t need to expand the courts
Loren is definitely better than Jess 🥴🤷🏽♀️

That's a great idea!❤
That’s what I’m doing now
@@pg5016 Fantastic 👏 What's the name of your curriculum?
I bought my first bottle of Uncle Nearest because it’s black owned but I kept buying it because it’s great whiskey 🥃

The season of the black woman, on Deck!!!
Fawn weaver is a force. So inspiring
Wow this was great. Need more people like her on Breakfast club. Keep teaching y’all.
Fawn Weaver is an inspiration to my family. These stories of building within the black community needs to be continously told. Keep up the good work, Breakfast Club. 😊
This one of those interviews I’m going to watch once a week until I get my business up and running. Great interview! Top 3 in breakfast club history.
I first clicked on this not giving a damn and left feeling enlightened and motivated! Great interview!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
why is this only at 70K views a month old at this time (10-13-24)........ smh goes to show the interest of our ppl.... Fawn is so inspirational
It surprises me as well. If it was a Ciroc story it would have 1M views
@12:02 That Dirty Dancing reference is golden... "Nobody puts baby in a corner!"
Once I land back in the States, I'm definitely copping me a bottle or two of this

Another great interview. Been supporting this brand since the 1st interview up years ago and amazed at its growth and all she has accomplished!
I just started reading the book and so excited to learn more. Fawn is a fierce, powerful woman. I saw her in another interview, she blew me away!
Right that is just what the black community needs more poison pushers....MLK would be proud...
Loren pulled out the most strategic tip from Fawn! Go Loren!
This wa one of the best interviews yet. I'm truly inspired
31:07 everything that I know I share- Fawn is an open book- so inspirational
Great job "Breakfast Club"! 👏🏾 😊
I’m listening to this and I have tears in my eyes. She is phenomenal! I’m amazed at what I’m hearing. Whiskey is not even my drink of choice. Lol
LL better earn her seat at the table!!!! You go girl
Her ancestors passed her the ball and she caught it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right.... POC selling poison to POC..... The white man supports this....MLK would be proud....
MLK would be proud.... selling poison to your own people....
She's proud of the fact that she led a revolutionary movement she just said 3 of the 6 major brands are ran by women because she started something cultural/life changing.

Right... because that's what the black community needs is more poison pushers.... MLK would be proud....
I read the book within a week, and I LOVED IT. It was such a good book.
I have faith that my brand grow into a multi billion dollar company. I love to see us black women taking over certain markets.
I love the energy and we read the book

Thank you! Cause when he said Mae Jemison I was like um...Mae Jemison was much later 😂
Nice! I caught that too, but Fawn Weaver is such a good salesman that she played it off! LOL

@@I_BE_NMYHEAD 😄 I was like hold up!! I know I'm not that old.
Caught that as well 😂
I bought this recently, didn't know it was black owned, really good whisky

Please yall need to keep Loren in for the interviews. A real journalist is so necessary!!! especially for interviews like this!!!
Jess needs child support and SNAPS.
I am not even a drinker but I will support this brand because of this woman.. I plan to stock my bar and add this for all my friends and family to drink durning the holidays🙏🏽

Love this segment with Fawn Weaver.. what a freakin SHERO!!!
Loren is going to need to stay on air in some capacity. I'm not rooting for Jess to lose her spot, but Loren is GREAT at her job.
Could listen to her speak everyday
She praised God! Amen! Congratulations! Great interview and inspiring. ROAR!
Come on Lauren with the questions…. Good question!!!
Right?! Her question brought out the most strategic tip from Fawn , multiple distilleries
Have a blessed weekend with your family and friends 🙏❤️🌹🌺❣️🌺❣️🌺❣️🌺❣️🌺❣️🌺❣️🌺❣️🌺❣️🌺❣️
This woman is telling the truth. I just learned about the true story of Jack Daniel's on a show called The booze, bets, and sex that built America.
I love the question that Envy asked about her beginning.
Keep doing what you're doing, lady. You do not take any prisoners, and that's exactly what you should do. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
At this point, just have Loren scoot over when Jess comes back, because she deserves to have a permanent seat on the Breakfast Club!
Going to buy a bottle right now!
LeBron really keeps a great circle of smart black men around him. Proud of Johnson who has a beautiful black family for helping Fanny!
THIS IS EPIC!! 🌌🫀✨👑

GREAT INTERVIEW. HAVEN'T SEEN THIS BRAND IN THE STORES. I'LL BE ON THE LOOKOUT. PROHIBITION RAN FROM 1920-1933

Great episode. Congratulations Fawn!
Can't wait for the movie to come out
protect her at all costs
For what! Because she put out a product that will destroy our kidneys and liver?
Peace!
Congrats to Ms. Weaver for all her accomplishments. I'm looking forward to reading the book.
Fun fact: Mae Jemison wasn't one of the acclaimed "Hidden Figures".
