I see they're using the old soundtrack for this clip. I must say, whilst Phipps's work is good, I miss the dramatic soundtracks of seasons 1 & 2
@Rivka Ka Pardon? I wasn't bashing on his music btw, I'm currently listening to it it's just I prefer the previous composer. And i do realise some music was re-used,
Rupert's soundtrack is the best for me, without it I feel like something is missing
I agree although The New Queen is an amazing piece!
@Matteo I loved Headline, Your Majesty and Duck Shoot, I agree Season Three isn't as good only Charles,Philip and the Establishment have the feels
@Daenerys Targaryen yes I forgot to mention that, the Soundtrack is Goals
I just love every episode of "The Crown". The attention to detail is remarkable, and very well done. That hat that the Queen wore with the pink ensemble unfortunately reminded me of the pink spongy hair rollers! ;o)
The Queen actually did wear some of those horrendous hats the worst being at Charles's Prince of Wales ceremony
They need to publish a book about this clothes they're making for this series
Has anyone noticed that the “war of the pearls” between the women of the crown seasons 1-2 are all but gone in season 3?
I know you'll never see this, but.... do you also make the foundational garments to achieve the correct silhouettes?
2:07 what was the stroke of genius? Someone help haha I dont understand what hes saying is so unique or what makes the jacket special. "Prince Royal check" is that the pattern?
@mrky Fine men's tailoring is an art in its self. The Glen Plaid is difficult to match and still keep the drape and shape of the garment. They did a nice job on this jacket.
Please hire back Michele Clapton. Season 1 costumes are the best..
I know they had to copy some of the Original designs for both the Queen and Margaret but on many others i think they failed miserably and spent all that money doing it.,,,, Poor Margaret she actually dressed beautifully. I rememeber her well She was quite beautiful and dressed beautifully but the Queen always looked dowdy In real life the Queen has really looked far better since this new woman took over her wardrobe, Now she always looks well dressed and the fabrics are stunning Too bad she did not have the current dresser years ago,,
She didn't mention whether any of the costumes were based on clothes HRH actually wore.
It depends. For scenes that are based on historical events, like the investiture of the PoW, many of her costumes are the same. Then for everyday scenes they’ve taken creative liberty and made costumes how they want.
HRH is that in reference to Princess Alice, Princess Anne, Princess Margaret, or The Prince of Wales
"This ain't like any TV show or movie".... Go ask Charles Dance if he's as impressed. Don't get me wrong, I love corgis but they are no dragons...and those corgis don't have enough screen time! Drogon showed up way more times. :'(
Really one of the greatest tv shows ever created
The budget seemed lower for S3
So it’s the Crown vs reality vs Apple TV’s series of the new look, I have to say that it’s the prettiest unique
Extraordinary!
Why is she miserable
Smile Queen.
Please bring back CLAIRE FOY
This season shows a new stage in the queens life and she has become more serious the longer she has been queen. Because that is how she is supposed to act, unemotional, impartial and regnal. This has nothing to do with Olivia Colman’s performance. Claire Foy was supposed to represent a young inexperienced queen, Olivia will represent an older and more responsible queen. This show is an historical drama serie, they won’t just suddenly alter a character’s personality actually portraying a real life person, who behaves exactly like this, just because you don’t like that she doesn’t smile as much as you’d have wanted.
Olivia Colman’s performance couldn’t be questioned here...she delivered her best...but we miss Claire Foy...
So basically, you want a fantasy version of the Queen?
Well, we cannot bring back the age. So... (get over it)
