- I have had the HONOR to welcome Jacqueline Zacharias of @Zacharias Horsemanship to the ranch and share some expertise. It was a lot of fun and very constructive. First, Jacqueline was kind enough to evaluate Starky for me as a Ranch Riding horse and walk us through what she liked or not as well as give us some great tips on how to move forward with him. She is a great horsewoman and. you should check out her channel!!! And her last video LOL Link Below

Fun video. It's nice to see the cross over and the making of an all around Ranch riding horse. He's a beauty. Jacqueline is quite the horsewoman.
Great Video, thanks for sharing! I follow Jacqueline on UA-cam as well and they have a great training program! It will be great to see you with this beautiful horse in the Ranch Riding!
Great video, Ranch ride is becoming a huge class entry in this year's shows.
We LOVE the Ranch Riding here in Wisconsin & Minnesota! Great to see it getting some coverage from you! Question: Jacqueline said it's ok to post or stand for extended trot & do whichever best shows your horse. If we choose to post, how important is it that we post on the correct diagonal? This has been a topic of much discussion in my area. Would appreciate input from you both!
Emily, I do believe if you're going to post, it's important to stay on the correct diagonal. Most of the time, it won't matter so much. But the better you get, and the bigger the shows you attend, judges have to start splitting hairs to pick a champion. So when it comes down to the wire, I think being "correct" in every area does matter.
However, as mentioned before, posting or standing really is a matter of personal preference, and there are different riders at the top levels who do each very well.
Thanks for sharing! I met you at the APHA world show (I’m extremely awkward and I apologize lol) and only got to ride my new SGW mare three times before I took her into the pen that week. Also my first time doing any ranch riding ha!
Anyway, she’s going to be my reiner but this video has really gotten me more interested in the ranch riding. Jacqueline’s got some great knowledge and I’ve went and subscribed to her, too! I’ve learned so much from your channel and I’m excited to add some more tools to my toolbox with Jacqueline’s channel
So cool! Glad to hear! I remember and it was nice meeting you. Thanks
She’s good
Really interesting interview!
Great video Jonathan enjoyed it very much cheers Steve from the UK
Great job!!!
Starky is a pretty cool horse. I think he'll excel under your training, regardless of the direction you choose to take him!
Thanks Jacqueline, I agree! I look forward to your evaluation of our progress a month or so down the road
