hiya lucy. so glad they are caught and people can relax a lot more. yes, we had a fantastic storm in august 2014 when lads were going down past morgans on lilos with drinks in their hands.. i walked from hotel rosamar up to el barrell down the road and my shoes literally fell to bits. walked back in the lovely warm rain bare foot. lol. such a shame about the tragic accident and that poor lady. thanks for the update. home now after a great hol at ambassador but back in nov for the fiestas.
Such sad news about the woman. How traumatic for her family. Glad they caught the thieves. People work all year for their holiday for people like these to ruin it for them. You never imagine something like that would happen.
The first time I went to Benidorm was for my 20th birthday in 1986. We stayed at the Hotel Helios. And I'll never forget the sudden storm that opened up. I've never seen rain like it. The rain came down so heavy that it caused deep flash floods. All sorts of stuff was getting washed down the road. It was a bit shocking at first. Then the storm disappeared just as quickly as it had turned up. The sudden 'white water Rapids' gave way to scorching sunshine and steaming pavements again.
I've seen waves nearly as high as the rooftop on the cable ski when a storm hit Beni about 6 years ago and rain wash away block paving footpaths down by Babby Buddha bar at the far end of Lavante beach. Prety crazy weather and some wicked thunderstorms out to sea are awesome to watch, from a bar of course lol.
Aww hey Lucy what awful news about the accident out there,,, also can't believe the robbers took the safes, so glad they was caught,,, wish weather was as nice here , frozen as per usual,,, yeah seen a good few storms in benidorm,, Sept 19 there was just lightening over the mountains but no thunder or rain,, and also happened in Albir May 04 just lightening was lovely to watch,,, have a lovely day in that awesome weather x
I was in a UK 4 bed hospital recovery room last week. A disabled man there was brought his small electric disability scooter to his bedside, however somehow it got away without him trapping a nurse against a radiator. A fan flew off a desk with the force of the impact. Another nurse had to rescue her colleague.

I was at the market and all of a sudden temperature dropped sky grew darker with black clouds, it became very windy making the tarpaulin covering the stalls blow off, I had to buy a jacket and hat even gloves as we felt really cold, the gusts brought rain like I've never seen before for about an hour, then sun came out temperature went back to normal just like that, weird but scary

My thoughts and prayers are with the poor woman's family. In terms of the storms I always remember being in Olivers Bar in the Old Town and water cascading down the hill. It lasted around 20mins and an hour later you wouldn't know it had been raining at all.

I've been to Benidorm 3 times and have had a storm every time. Most people would look at the forecast and be gutted, I was delighted. Salou is another hotspot for crazy storms, I've seen many there as well. Love it ⚡⚡

Excellent news that these absolute scum off the earth have been caught. The police should hand them over to all the people that have been robbed by them. Security could make simple steps like your room key has to also swipe the lifts to get up to your room floor. Premier Inn has been doing this for years. Simple little steps. Hi im coming to benidorm on the 1st october for three weeks i do this every year and have been going to benidorm since 1969 great place i met some spanish guys out some 47 years ago and meet up with them in the old town every evening ,ive seen a lot of changes made over the years but glad the old town is almost the same now as was all those years ago.
Horrible experience to get robbed while on holiday. I am glad the police didn't turn a blind eye this time
