Notice how active these mobs are? They come running at you with force. In D4, they just stand there waiting till you enter the area.

Mob aggression increases with World Tier.
To be fair, it would be cool if poe 2 had some mobs which only react when you get within a certain range, to mix up enemy behavior

The game we thought Diablo 4 was going to be.
Instead we got a Trans for D4.
I fell in love with this game during Essence league, my first league, playing on a mini pc intel integrated graphics running at 800x600 res. The first time I logged in on a decent pc I fell in love again, it felt like a new game.

I'm struggling to find flaws - from the environment, art, UI, crunchiness of combat, sound effects, orb/items art, it's just orders of magnitude better than everything else out there
It's hard to see the characters they literally match the ground. They need to fix that.

When I start the game up I so play witch class now we got a hold new undead set up with it own weapon type
It would also be really cool if in co-op mode the elements of each players attacks can combine during a battle and create additional effects against monsters...but i think its too much for ggg

Obviously with like 20-50 ppl on the server the latency was good, but do you feel like the game was very fluid and responsive(engine optimization wise) ?
I think they did the co-op demos on PS5's so it's likely to be much better on a decent PC.

Are they generally tough or was it your build?
By Act 1-2 there were very few "build" choices in regards to defense. Jonathan admitted that they were likely overtuned and he would take a look at them.

It's crazy how I feel about PoE 1's graphics compared to the first time I played it in beta. I absolutely love it's art style and they've carried that over to PoE2. Man it just feels alive. D4 has made the game at least fun now, but the environment feels dead. It just feels like a background. PoE sucks you in. Like you're there. It's wild.
That boss fight was intense lol. I feel like PoE boss arenas are so far and away the best in the genre. I love FF14 too and I feel like PoE's boss arenas are even better than ff14's.
I mean FFXIV's boss arenas are just big circles or squares, so that really isn't saying much.
Visual clutter is outstanding here and this is area level 20. Imagine what it looks like at 83. CANT SEE SHIT. AGAIN.

When I see this skill tree I have a stroke. 2 times I tried playing PoE1, once I got to act 5, once to act 9, just cant force to continue. Too convoluted and complicated without reason (trading is just terrible) and not fun. Diablo 4 on the other hand is just too simplified and basic.
My sweet spot for complication/fun ratio is Diablo 2, Last epoch and Grim dawn.

@@jespert99 Thanks for advice, will do. Once a year I like to return to D2, also I liked Last Epoch, will play again with different character. D4 I finished and sold, its quite bad and Im not planning to return. I was hoping PoE2 will be more user friendly, but it looks it is not.
If trading was your main issue the trading will be very simplified in PoE2, it will still use various currency but it will be on an auction board kinda thing.
Looks great, but any reason why they're each only using 2 abilities? Do they not know how to use the controller?
We are using quite a few abilities here. Some of them might not be as obvious in every fight but my damage rotation involves 3 attacks and the monk is using 4-5 abilities per fight.

I love the way the game looks and I'm excited for it, but your gamma feels too high and makes things feel a little too washed out and that kind of ruins the intended visuals for me.
I've been enjoying PoE1 for seven years. But watching PoE2 videos has lowered my expectations a lot. PoE2 is still in development, and I know that all PoE2 videos only show part of the beginning of the game. I think all PoE2 videos use too much skill, even though they're early-level progressions. To be honest, the graphics quality of PoE2 isn't very impressive to me either. I know a lot of things will change when the full version of the game releases, but some of the UIs in the video seem to need a lot of changes to look simpler and cleaner than they are now. I know PoE2 is more focused on action combats than PoE1, but I still feel that the design or motion of some skills is too much. I don't think it's a bad choice for developers to create a variety of options for skill utilization. However, most of the skill designs in different classes I've seen in PoE2 so far have not appealed to me much.

Most of the performance issues were due to small server lags, not actual graphics problems.
@@subtractem bro you dont have to defend them like your life is depending on it, its either the video has stutters/lowfps or the game runs really bad...
cant imagine that these servers had 200k players on them to justify "server lags"
@@marozpkb6136 It's literally the truth. Their demo servers run really bad. To the point where the last playtest was often unplayable due to this and it was on the PC.

@@TheDrov well, lot of people speed run the acts. Even in the first PoE ExileCon, when Poe2 was announced, was a competition, and you guess it: it was about going as fast as they could.

Love everything except the UI. Looks dated compared to the rest of the game.
I personally don't really like the art style much. I feel like it is too sharp and there is way too much shimmering as a result. Also the UI still looks really rough. There was a lot of low hanging fruit they could have improved from POE1 which they didn't improve. The black bars on interactables and item pick ups is and was always a massive eye sore..
Really looking forward to trying it out though, but I'd rather not overhype POE2 just because "D4 bad" when its not really, it's just not designed for a super hardcore no lifer that can play 2k hours a season, nor should it be. The commentary comparing POE2 to D4's UI in the last video was very disingenuous btw subtractem. Taking a washed out stretched photo and comparing it to a 4k source video is hardly fair and I know you are a smart enough guy to understand that. :) If POE2 is an awesome game, let it stand on its own. The constant bickering between the two fanbases is annoying and honestly pretty childish.

I find the game itself solidly mid and I don't care if people enjoy it but the UI/UX is truly awful.

While it may be subjective (well of course it is) Diablo 4's UI visually speaking is very aesthetically pleasing, far more than the screenshot you posted in your video lol. That is disingenuous. It is in no way representative of the actual game.

I would rate PoE 2's UI/UX at around 6-7 at the moment, which isn't awful for a game in beta. I was just having fun poking at Blizzard moreso than hyping up PoE 2.
