Add fractals to your ewt you get really nice levels and a picture of how the market will move. So look at the first wave in 1-5 min timeframe you get a pic of what the whole structure will look like.
Thanks to these two gentlemen, I've been a profitable trader for a few years now. Like Avi said, EW was the missing piece. I am truly grateful to these two wonderful humans!
Just say NO to Robert Prechter and his disastrous stock market "expertise". He basically forecasts a big bear market since late 1987 ! for the US stock market. I sadly subscribed to his newsletter, luckily I smelled a rat and did not trade on his setups. Listening to Prechter will mean you'll lose your last shirt ! :(
EW is a great tool for context, but not so much for predicting market moves. If you just think about it for a minute, there actually is no way of predicting the market. All you can do is react, not predict. This whole rationalization of "social mood" seems like a justification for wave counts. I know that sounds like an attack on EWI, but at some point you have to live by your track record. I give Prechter credit for writing the book back in the day, and for being fortunate enough to have access to Bob Farrell. I do appreciate the humility by both gentlemen.
@@ChrisWilson-je5sl When I place a trade / bet (how you want to word it) on the future direction of whatever, I predict something. I don't give Prechter credit for anything other than getting it wrong for now > 30 years. I'm so glad I discoverd the genius of Warren Buffett and his repeated advice that because of long-term growth of US corporate proftis, of course, the broad market will HAVE to rise to. There'll be nasty setbacks, but they can of course not be forecasted with 100% accuracy. Suggesting to investors the should short the US stockmarket is financial suicide long-term. I'll never ever again listen to Prechter, but hope I've rescued some investors from his "expertise".
This was absolutely fantastic. Thank you Tom for just letting them talk. For me, you were the real star of the show.
Very enjoyable discussion.
Avi is a class act. I’ve been a member of Elliot Wave Trader and found his expertise invaluable for preserving my wealth.

Wow, touching story about Avi's wife. Doing what you love is so important and it's incredible that your wife was so supportive.
