Dabi and Shoto's VA's KILLED it this episode. My heart broke seeing Todoroki begging Endeavor to get up, crying and screaming... he's usually so composed and quiet but that scene was something else. He sounded so much like Eren (Shoto and Eren share the same VA btw)

This chapter was crazy when it was released. Everyone knew who Dabi was, but it was the way it was revealed that caught everybody off guard. No one expected him to reveal it to the public like that

Shigaraki physically chipped away at society by causing so much destruction and ordering Machia to cause more destruction while getting there. Making the heroes feel responsible for all the death and destruction and the responsibility shouldering on them with the public probably thinking “how can these heroes protect us from these threats?”
And Dabi‘a video exposed how cruel their own top two heroes are, dealing the final blow to society and the people’s faith in heroes. One physically destroyed hero society while the other mentally and emotionally destroyed hero society. Definitely the MVP’s for the villains.
Todoroki's voice actor gets a 10 out of 10 rating for me, when he begged his dad for help gave me goosebumps, he didn't care about anything other than his friends safety
he's been giving it on all levels all year....from Eren to Shoto.

It felt amazing. I don't like Rob with his Willpower shit and how he puts down any male characters that show any type of weakness. Men should be shown vulnerable time to time, because they are human like everyone else.

Kaji Yuki is honestly one of THE top tier voice actors in Japan, no doubt. I knew he was gonna be awesome this episode.
And then Shimono Hiro, Dabi's VA? TALK ABOUT RANGE. From Zenitsu to Dabi, he's too talented for his own good. I knew he was gonna kill it.
And yeah, we knew who Dabi was; Horikoshi left the crumbs purposefully. That's storytelling. But the P R E S E N T A T I O N. THAT'S IT. THAT'S WHAT MATTERS.
I don’t think Rob understands how major psychological attacks can be. It’s not easy to detach the cause of a tragedy/reacting to it from finding a solution. And even if you can, sooner or later we gotta deal with what caused the tragedy. The villains can get their butts kicked right now but they won the war by making civilians question their heroes and leaders. And Rob keeps saying this wouldn’t happen in reality but Covid is a great example of this. Saw more people complaining about our leaders response versus people actually taking steps to protect themselves
This is the same man that basically said if any main character that cries or shows weakness is a bitch. He isn't emotionally mature or knowledgeable about what abuse from either people who don't know you or your own family can do to a person.

even todoroki was in shock he probably wouldn't have been able to block that with the way he was feeling
I started reading the manga after season two of my hero but I remember when Dabi had told Shoto “too bad” when he tried to grab the marble Bakugo was in, there was something about that exchange that literally made me feel like “This Dabi character seems to be particularly interested in teasing shoto that he was too slow”. And then their eye colors were the same so idk why but something in me told me they were related. I then read the chapter a few years later and when they revealed it, I was like “ I fuckin knew it!” but the reveal in the manga was perfect just like how they did this reveal in the anime now. I didn’t think he had pure white hair tho but I do love how it gradually changed as he got older. Kinda like a natural way to show he was not compatible quirk wise.
There were a few other hints too like Dabi in his first ever appearance is in front of a hair salon.

@@celinho68 what do u mean by bkashback and backstory in the manga they showed him once in the starting chapters of shippuden ( but even during that time people viewed it only as Kakashi origin story ) then after that they never showed him once ( except when pain was killing Kakashi they showed obito's imagery ) and after more than 300 chapters they did the reveal this is nothing like that
Don't compare dami reveal to obito's the way they did the reveal was really God but when it comes to just the reveal itself obito one was not as obivious as this . many people speculated that tobi was either sasukae dad or minato and etc

But if u watch the comment section of their reaction episode where Tobi reveal is done people are not saying the reveal is obvious ( there are only few people saying it became obvious after Itachi reveal the truth or madara reveal . Because before that people were speculating sasukae dad to be Tobi but then after Itachi showed the truth to sasukae it became evident that their father is dead and since people knew madara was reanimated. Then after this there were only few character left to speculate but even after that many people didn't know it was actually obito )
It's really interesting see this reaction from some people who legit didn't know Dabi was Toya. Within the Manga community Dabi being Toya Todoroki was such a prevalent and widely believed theory it was basically considered canon years before the reveal. Even back before we had Toya's name, and only the knowledge that another sibling existed, it was a widely believed theory.
So, within the online manga community a widely talked about concern was that because Dabi being Toya was so well known and so obvious maybe the reveal wouldn't be good. Or possibly not done at all. Since some people do put more of a shock value focus with story twist and reveals over the actual impact on the story.
That obviously wasn't the case here and the Toya reveal was awesome. 2 years ago when this happened in the manga it basically broke the fandom and out trended the then going on US elections.
Heck even other anime only reactions I watch knew or this theory so it is interesting to see there are people who consume MHA that didn't know prior!
But now if you go back and rewatch this you'll probably be able to see a good number of thr clues laid out in the past seasons. Dabi's interaction with Shoto in season 3 and his interaction with Endeavor at the end of season 4 being major ones.
Even as a non rmanga reader yall should of predicted this the moment Dabi was introduced. He literally leftt a bread crumb trail for everyone
Dabi didn't show his quirk the moment he was introduced in season 2 and we knew nothing about it him except him going by Dabi then. It was with season 3 with him talking to Shoto that people initially thought they could be related.
@@raec5426 don't forget the fact that there was a whole member of the family that was conveniently left out and nvr mentioned and the fact that he calls them by their full name and Endeavor using blue flames. there was little hints here and there
@@samwilson4597 The anime added that part with Endeavor using blue flame but that scene was never in the manga from Hori. lol Mostly I'm saying people didn't really catch on until season 3, not upon literal introduction.

Present Mic was screaming Shoto’s name on national television for the sports festival and Hawks and All Might are the only pro heroes with secret identities. Everyone knows Endeavor’s name. Gran Torino doesn’t even call Endeavor by his hero name.
They left bread crumbs sure but not every anime only is an analysis who goes on a deep dive to connect the dots. Some suspected it but as the seasons went by that suspicion could've been easily forgotten or put at the back of their minds plus it wasnt till season 5 that shoto was even revealed to have a sibling and all we knew is that he was dead.
Dabi reveal as endeavor son is probably one of the best moments of my hero academia season 6
Endeavor was abusive while Toya was there as well. Despite the smile we see, Dabi says on the broadcast that he saw Endeavor strike Shoto multiple times.
Ur meshing two timelines
The backstory content we see in this ep is WAYY prior to Shoto being born, Toya and Fuyumi are like 6+ years older than shoto, that endeavour was fairly normal hence the smiles
Years after, Shoto and Toya lived together for a good portion , during that time he was very abusive which is what dabi is referring to on his broadcast, but there is no inherent deception from Endeavors backstory here, there’s just a sizeable gap in time between the events of what ur seeing and the stuff dabis actually referring to

I get what Rob is saying and that is how soldiers are trained to think, however regular people don't think like that. Think about how much fear controls the average persons life. So much so that the news can lie to us to force compliance. Fear supercedes critical thinking for the untrained

Little side note, in the manga, Toga never explains the big thing about Jin. Which is why Ochako is so confused. Because she's not exactly sure why she's talking to her. But she instantly regrets shutting her down once she sees that she was crying. And it pushes her to question why Toga was upset. Which is why the anime having Toga mention her reason for being upset last episode kinda takes away from Ochako's confusion and trying to understand Toga. Toga does love Ochako the same way she loves Stain and Izuku. So essentially, one of her crushes didn't get what she was trying to convey. Which has to suck.
When this reveal happened in the manga, it actually out trended the literal US election. Dabi is built different.
Also, it's really funny how Shigaraki gave that speech a few episodes ago about how heroes will destroy their families and Endeavor completely ignored him. Only for one of the biggest examples of him being selfish and destroying his own family to appear. Endeavor is trying to improve, yes. But that doesn't mean his past actions just go away. He added fuel to that poor boy's flames and then tossed him aside once he realized he wasn't the perfect child he wanted to create. And now, Touya will reduce everything to ash. Him and Skeptic pulled through with the tag team of the century.

I want to point out it wasn't so much Endeavour tossed him aside because he wasn't perfect.
He stopped training Toya and focused on Shoto because he thought it was the only way to force Toya to stop training because he wouldn't otherwise
@@SlimTheydy That's obviously not how Toya saw it. He was being propped up by his father to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. The entire mindset that Endeavor instilled into Toya is fucked up.
@@SlimTheydy An issue was also that Endeavor didn't practice what he preached. He wanted Toya to give up his obsession, but Endeavor still continued with his obsession to surpass All Might through one of his kids. Toya saw the hypocrisy.
It’s crazy because at first he was a good husband and father too
Endeavor is one of my favourite adult characters of the my hero cast of characters. I like that his redemption isn't going to be easy. What he did to his family isn't something that should be brushed off. It's a big wound that's gonna take a long time to heal, and Dabi just poured salt in the wound. Your family needs to be whole before you can be any type of person in society.
It's funny how the rest of them don't take Rob very seriously whenever he starts talking about paparoki and shoto. Like for the past few episodes no matter what dope thing deku or even bakugo does that the others acknowledge and hype it up Rob is constantly silent during those moments but whenever shoto does anything and he has had the least impact in this entire fight up till now he starts shouting like just shoto catching the falling people is enough for him. I seriously can't tell if he's faking this stuff cause he can't be keeping this up constantly
Dabi unveils his far more sadistic and unhinged side, expressing a maddened and gleeful expression upon confronting his father and youngest brother. With his sadism and vengeance fully renewed, Dabi is shown to completely relish in any and all pain he can cause Endeavor
It is the portrait of someone who's gone off the deep end of grief.
Can we really blame him after the shit endeavor put him through?

I feel like we should have been able to see this twist coming back in season 5, thats when I first thought dabi was the missing brother. But even seeing this coming, I was amazed at how the reveal went down

Lol psh i begin to have my suspicions in the early days of dabi, especially during Bakugo’s kidnapping and he called shoto by his full name
I forget which season this is. It might be season 3 but when Dabi takes Bakugo and makes eye contact with Shoto idk something abt that scene just instantly made me think they may be related. I later watched some videos to comfirm my suspicion on how they have the same eye color and the way he looked at him, and Dabi even saying his full name. This was before Shoto was even revealed to have a sibling too 😂. So when I read the manga which fully confirmed it for me, this moment where Dabi reveals it has been the only moment I've been the most excited for in MHA.

@@emoducky I think most people at least suspected that he was a Todoroki, but the show strings you along, Endeavor starts getting his life together, then Dabi just DESTROYS it. It's about how it was revealed.
They did that chapter justice, I was worried after the last few episodes but I'm really happy...
Endeavor had it coming I’m sorry. With the level of mistakes he’s made just because he’s nicer now doesn’t mean all the pain he’s caused has healed.

As soon as Dabi was introduced, I swore that many of the reactors would make the connection of him being a Todoroki, even if at that moment we were not aware of Toya, in episode 2x10 (shoto's story) we see three children playing, in the future we meet fuyumi and natsuo, so who would it be the red haired child? It didn't take me long to associate the quirk and the physical characteristics, besides that whenever he ran into someone in the family (like with shoto in the camp and endeavor in the S5) he ALWAYS said the full name "shoto todoroki" "enji todoroki" with some veiled grudge. At the time it was confirmed in the manga, it was a collective outbreak, not because he was a todoroki, most of the fandom already suspected for a long time, but because it was something done in an incredible way (and I must say that so far, it is the best episode from S6).
About the Todoroki family, there's my reason for not liking Endeavor, Dabi is no saint obviously, but everything he became was Enji's fault and his greed to be greater than All Might. The supposed hero who was the biggest villain in his own family. In the end, Stain was always right, there are many hidden things about heroes, false moralists, Dabi exposing it all is a gigantic achievement and a smart move.

So yeah, that's the thing. Toga does see Uraraka as a best friend. That's her definition of "liking" her. So Toga likes Midoriya in a weird romantic sense, she likes Uraraka in a weird best friend sense and she likes Stain in the admiration/hero type sense. I think a part of her does want to reform her ways (naturally, I'm wrong ofc) but as Uraraka mentioned, she has to take responsibilty for her actions. If she does, I can sort of see like her in jail and Uraraka coming to visit and they have girl talk towards the end of all this. But I digress
On the flip side, this was another good episode and it was nice to finally see Toya's dance animated

Where I don't agree with Rob is that Endeavor did NOT rethink his actions after Toya's "death", he continued to do the exact same thing to Shoto and not until All Might fell in Kamino did he start rethinking his life. That's what got him to change, not Toya, not Rei's breakdown, nor his kids hating him. It was All Might's words. So honestly he kinda deserves it IMO, he did create Dabi.

I see where yall are coming from I think most people though would probably be both angry at the power structure and at the same time want the heroes to stop the destruction. BTW, I was surprised of Robb not coming down on Shoto for crying. Endeavor may have made some mistakes and is now owing up to it, but all his mistakes are now coming back to haunt him and glad their not swiping under the rug unlike Robb constantly does. Then, have the nerve to say Endeavor is a way better father than Naruto. And I won't be surprised when people in the city will start to doubt after this is over.
