+Alex Braunberger Government is not reason, it is not eloquence - it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action. -Me
+Alex Braunberger Actually, the most terifying statement is, as a responce to a plea for assistance, "Your cause is just, but I cannot help you.", whether said by a government official or anyone else. (Let's not forget that the plea for assistance that elicited that original statement WAS made to the US Government.) The reason government "help" is so bad these days is that there are too many hands in the cookie jar before it ever reaches its intended recipients. Before kids get school lunches, something like 80-90% of it goes to "overhead" and "administration". Every step along the way, special interest lobbies (read: political "donors") expect to get money back on their investment in the form of special economic favors. Publishers want to sell schools a load of $35 textbooks for $200 a piece. The photographers want to charge $100 for $10 worth of photos that you could take and get printed anywhere (and schools ensure this is done by declaring that only the official photos are in the yearbook and your photo is only taken if you pay for an insanely overpriced photo package that supposedly supports the school... but really mostly just lines administrative pockets). The probem isn't government, which acts as a neccessary equalizer in sane countries. The problem is rampant systemic corruption, of which we in America have an overabundance, largely because the average citizen has nearly NO voice in our governemnt any longer, in large part due to a broken and ineffective voting/election system, which is even more racked with corruption than the rest of our government (thanks in no small part to the atrocity of Citizen's United). In short, the problem isn't people coming together, whether in government groups or not, to make things better or share costs. The problem is corruption and poor management and greed, mostly from the top down. This is hardly a problem unique to governments (I'm looking at you, Walmart), and it's hardly the scariest thing ever. The scariest thing ever is to NEED help and not be able to get ANY (whether poor in quality or not). Perhaps only someone who has ever gone hungry or had no coat or slept on a floor for months on end will understand this.

Kindertutn PlaysGames I take selfies sometimes, but I'm in no way narcissistic. I'm actually pretty insecure so for me, and probably many other people, I take selfies in the (sometimes rare) instances when I feel like I look good. It's just a little bit of a confidence boost to make me feel more secure. Selfies do not equal narcissism.
My worst grade school photo was in third grade. I decided to grow out my hair from a short bob, but I only started in the fall. My hair looked like a bad bowl cut. Then, I had these really big glasses (think Harry Potter type glasses) and I forgot that I left my binator in my mouth for the school photo which had a huge wire across my front teeth. The results were the worst, and it gets even better. That was the photo that my orthodontist uses on my folder, so every time I go to the Orthodontist I would see that photo that I would rather have destroyed.
Plot twist: the reason why there are only bad photos is because every photo is perfect, but these guys step in every time and no one realizes due to poor communication.
This happend to me at my school (as in I looked good before I went through my friends). I think its so funny how they portrayed how every picture should look bad, cause that's how life goes
THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER STUDIO C SKETCH!!!!!!!! THE FIRST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS TO THIS, I CLICKED THE LINK TO STUDIO C UA-cam ON PINTEREST AND MY HEART LIVRES ON!!!
I can confirm this is what happens, when I got my high school photo they took two for some reason, I was able to see the screen with the photos and one looked good and the other I was clearly not ready for and was really bad, I then watched this man fully deleted the good one right in front of me. They are evil

Just like Ronald Reagan said, the most terrifying sentence is "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."

On the bright side, no more selfies. I totally agree!!! The end of narcissism!

I can relate to this video so much... Yeah there are never any good school photos.
When I was in highschool my freshman year picture was good. Though I never got anymore pictures
My entire school had good pictures.
