I’ve been watching all these videos on repeat for the last 3 weeks, aswell as studying my click safety books.
But when I couldn’t focus on text (which was most of the time!!), I would watch these videos over and over.
Today, I passed my CHST on the first attempt! There was so so many questions I knew the answer to directly cos of these videos!
Doug, you are the man!
Keep up the amazing videos with the great content!
Hey Michael Kelly, CHST Congratulations!
Im glad to hear that it helped.

Listened to this for three days straight. I passed the Exam today with your help.
Randy that's great to hear, Congratulations on your BCSP CHST!! We're about to come out with many more short videos (3 to 5 minutes on various different topics) that will be for professional development, tailgate safety meeting information and tips, train the trainer tips, and of course BCSP test prep for OHST, CHST, SMS, STSC, ASP and CSP.
Subscribe to the channel (if you haven't already done so) because we're going to start launching these videos in June.
Take care and congratulations again on your BCSP CHST designation. And, sorry took me so long to respond. Douglas Castro, CSP, CSSM, COSM
Hi Randy , congra on passing the test. I am about to take the exam. Any suggestion for people who is taking the test!
Studying for the CHST and I listen to this all day on repeat whenever I’m at work it in the car. Thank you, this is a great vid👍🏽
Me Too!!!
Hey there Donald how are you? Sorry to just respond months later. I didn't realize all these messages were on here. haha
Did you test for your CHST? If not, I tell people to get to studying done as much and fast as possible and rip the Band-Aid off and go test! At least you'll know how you doing. And hopefully you'll have it wrapped up.
If you've already tested and passed congratulations!!
Thank you so much for this amazing material, I took my exam today and passed first try! I will fore warn other test takers I used all three videos and bought the Mometrix study guide but no amount of studying prepares you for the questions on that exam. Doug mentions to keep your thought process for the exam to planning, program, policies, procedures, permits and then PPE. I 100% agree with that. A lot of the questions were structured around how you would deal with the situation if you were a CHST and what to do if an employee encountered something. Thinking in that process really helped me answer the questions and eliminate at least two so that I had a 50-50 shot at getting it right if I didn’t know the answer off heart. I live in Alaska but if Doug was closer I would 100% take his course for my upcoming CSP exam in the future.
Hey there Amanda, Congratulations! Im glad it could help.
What do you think about spending on taking a 3 day in person training course? Would these videos suffice or if I can afford it. It's worth it?
what should you study more and focus on for test
@@6.2_2ss study his videos because there are a ton of questions regarding construction regulations. But there are a lot of questions on the exam that are based off “what if” type situations. Those questions you can’t really study for. Just follow the thinking process like I mentioned above and you should be just fine.
@@amandafrenzel4162 ok really appreciate that what about the math what to look for in that and is it alot
Hi brother, just want to thank you for this great material, I got my CHST 2 weeks ago and I used this as my core training source. thanks a lot!

Sir, THANK YOU for having this very valuable resource, on-line. Fantastic back and forth commentaries, your slides are spot on. I just ordered my CHST and Flash Card Study Guides. I will let you know when I earn my CHST. Thank You again.

I usually don't comment on videos but the materials shared here are exactly what you need to pass the CHST. I used the span prep questions as well but the videos from this channel zero in on the most common topics covered on the exam. Props to the creators of this content.
I just wanted to give a Doug a big shout out and thank you !! I had failed my CHST and was studying for months and I came across these videos two weeks before my scheduled test , I wish I knew sooner but I have to say , your review contains about 80% of the test and I appreciate you sharing your experience! You are on point my friend , thank you again! Ps I passed this time around ! 😊
Thanks for creating this video. Just got some study material from Amazon. This video helps as well. Best of luck to everyone.
Just came to say this helped a lot, your the man. Watch this video like six times. It helps sooo much. Passed first try!
Fantastic and congratulations on earning your CHST!
Thanks for making this using it as I drive to and from work. Couple things though to note guys flag lines 6’ from edge are for roofers ONLY, otherwise must be 15’ and connectors MUST have on fall protection above 15’ but it’s up to them weather they tie off or not otherwise great material and much appreciated
Thank you for taking the time to make this! I just passed the test today on my first attempt. But just crazy those questions on there , was like nothing in the practice tests or quizzes I was taking. Your hierarchy method for planning, programs, polices, procedures, permits and PPE helped when selecting the answers.
Hello Ryan, that's great to hear. Congratulations Ryan Schmidt, CHST! The BCSP states that questions should meet the "Expectations and Definition of a Minimally Qualified Candidate". The BCSP has all of the best intentions with the questions butI think they overshot the mark by way too much. Congrats again on earning your CHST!
@@Channel4Training should I take the bcsp training? Or
First attempt at it and passed the CHST yesterday. Huge thanks to Mr Castro for this video, the material in this and his other related videos seriously helped! Played this and his other videos in the background for the last 8 months in conjunction with studying and it paid off! Thanks again Mr Castro!
Glad to find any help to pass this exam.
Used this video religiously and passed the CHST first time around! Thank you for the valuable resource Doug. I appreciate it!!
Hey John good deal! It is just a few hours from out prep courses for the BCSP CSP, ASP, CHST, STSC. We may have to put a tip jar out! lol
In all seriousness, Congratulations John!
The difference between the class of vest is the amount of reflective material(stripes). The class 3 vests have sleeves because it adds more room for the reflective material.
Hey Brendan, thanks for the input. Take care and stay healthy and safe!!!
I just wanted to say thank you for creating, and posting this video. It really helped me consolidate some of the information that I was lacking before taking the CHST. I passed my exam first try with this video, and the help of the Mometrix study guide. I know CHST pulls from a test bank, so everyone's test are going to be different, but one of the things I was caught off guard about was fire cabinets, and the quantity/type of flammables that could be stored in the cabinet as well as how far it should be located away from a building. Just an fyi if you take your test, but everyone's test will be different, so your millage may vary.
Again, thank you very much for this resource. I truly think it gave me an edge before taking the exam.
The Travis I'm sorry to just respond, congratulations on passing your BCSP CHST exam. What a way to represent the industry and all of us.

How well did the mometrix help? I just got mine in the mail today.
Thanks Doug! These videos really helped me pass my CHST exam.
Mike Bordonaro, CHST congratulations! Great work and thanks for checking-in!
ANSI actually does the class 1,2,3 vest by the amount of high viz and reflective material in "square inches". It has to have a minimum amount of each. That's why a class 3 needs sleeves. It needs more room to put the high viz and reflective material.
Hey there Anthony thank you for the input! I think I cleared that up later in the video or on a subsequent video. But I'll always take all the help that we can get.
Stay healthy and safe!

Doug, Thank you so much for this video! it really helped me, I passed my exam on the first try. YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!
Mike Sol, CHST congratulations! Fantastic and great work!
Past my CHST in January now working as a safety manager
Taking my chst on the 20th. Got approved December 2021 but I was studying here and there so I decided to bite the bullet and just schedule the exam yesterday and just hard charge binge studying. It was the only way I was going to prioritize studying. I purchased the exam bundle just in case I wasn’t successful.
You are awesome! What knowledge you have. Thank you for your help!!!
Thank you so much for these videos. I’m 21 and took and passed the CHST on my first attempt today. Keep up the great work!
Brandon Fernandez, CHST congratulations, that is fantastic! Keep up the great work and continue developing professionally with additional safety and leadership training and credentials throughout your EHS journey! I wish I would have known how impactful EHS is when I was 21. Congrats!
Hey Brandon,
Congratulations on passing your exam and earning your CHST certification. Quick question. How many years of experience in the field did you have when you submitted your application to take the exams?
Thanks in advance
Doug this is solid! You the man brother.
Hey Travis I'm still waiting on you to go take the CHST exam and blow it out the water. Use the Force Travis and get in there to go test! lol
@@ch4tv921 It's just a matter of doing the damn thing! TB.... Im on it. Jedi style.
Keep the videos coming Doug!
Love the videos!! Sure wish we could somehow block out all of Shelly’s questions tho, it would make the video a heck of a lot shorter and easier to follow. Unfortunately that’s what I come across on most job-sites anyway, safety people that are absolutely clueless.. I’m a NYC Union Ironworker for 15 years transitioning into safety for that exact reason..
But...it caused the instructor to dive even deeper and you still might learn something new like the 3 4 5 rule! Am still squaring the two sides though but it's good to know.
Thank you for this video
Taking CHST Tomorrow. Wish me luck!!
I passed btw
@@anthonyqcolosimo5374is this real? I’m looking around to see how to study. Did you really watched the videos and passed?

Took my CHST and passed first try!!! Thanks for the vids D.C. plus the mometrix flashcards, but 6 P's is the key cause half the things on the test were completely different from what you study, but same format.

Taking the CHST On Saturday!
I’m prepping for my CHST exam that is in July 2021. I have taken it once and Failed. I am purchasing some online prep courses through click safety, I have the flash cards already, and will be using this video for studying as well. Any other tips would be helpful. Thank you!
that sounds great, can someone please guide me about any possible literature /books for the ASP exam prep? or its okay if i just follow these videos ? your help is appreciated.
Hey Doug! Will you ever make the full length videos available again? If not, will you make them available for purchase to view ? Thanks in advance!

Anyone have other sources of free chst material I’m taking my test soon. Anything helps. Thank you
Are there any prerequisites to take the exam? Good luck btw
Yes...they can be found on the bcsp website
Now you get CHST study material or not
Will this instruction work for the OHST as well?
Douglas, do you have any other sessions recorded?
Are the 3 prep videos all the same
Do we know if Shelly passed?
Hi! Will this info work for the OHST exam?
Prepare one for OHST
Hello Osim,
The core information is the same for our OHST, CHST, ASP, CSP, SMS training. since the BCSP CHST exam now has so much industrial hygiene, health, environmental, and safety management systems on it as well as all of the other certification test I would definitely recommend that you watch these videos. You may just give less attention to the OSHA portions.
FYI, we're about to come out with many more short videos (3 to 5 minutes on various different topics) that will be for professional development, tailgate safety meeting information and tips, train the trainer tips, and of course BCSP test prep for OHST, CHST, SMS, STSC, ASP and CSP.

Do you have any material for OHST? Or would studying this help me for that test?
Hello Jose, this is the same material that we train for the OHST since most of what you see in the videos is 1-Environmental, then 2-Health, then 3-Safety in that order. Environmental affects everyone the workplace and public, Health normally affects much, most or all of our workforce and Safety normally negatively impacts one or just a few at a time. That's why I say keep it in order of Environmental, Health, then Safety. "EHS". Subscribe to our UA-cam Channel because we are about to release more free video clips.
Thank you for the information. I appreciate it.
Will you be posting any ASP or CSP Prep studies in the near future?
Hello Tony,
In our opinion, much of the information is the same since over the last couple of years the CHST has more health, environmental and risk management on it.
We will also be posting some shorter videos in April for specific topics related to the OSHT, CSHT, ASP and CSP.
In addition, we offer an ASP/CSP prep course and have one coming up in April. Details can be found at Ch4Training.com
If you want subscribe to our channel and you will see the videos we start posing in the months to come which should be a good bit of them.
Thanks Doug Castro
Hey Tom how are you?
Sorry to just respond. Yes we will be posting more videos starting June. We also have a zoom prep class for the ASP and CSP as well I will be posting information about that as well.
No these videos are posted for the CHST exam they are totally applicable to the ASP and CSP so I absolutely recommend you watch them.
