Trust me I didn’t start with this much stuff. First you have to work on the fundamentals of fishing before you worry about this stuff

Great video. I've had my issues with Lowrance but after watching your video, I will stay with it. Do you prefer Helix or solix on the Humminbird brand. Not sure about my spelling. I would like to know.

I put Humminbirds on my boat with the expectation that when they dropped their new front facing sonar that it would be the best on the market because they had the benefit of watching the other two go before them so they had to make a better product right? They wouldn't release a NEW product and it be subpar to its competitors right!??

I’m not hating on the electronics or the people who use them, but at what point is there too much electronics in fishing? I’ve seen people troll a bank for a hour just looking at a screen and never catch anything. Do you think some pros could even have the success they do without the electronics on the boat?

Are you / would you run your active target on a separate hot foot? Do you have any issues with it on the trolling motor
some of those ideas are pretty interesting but too slow for practical use. no issue on trolling motor
What transducer are you running on the rear for your lowrance?
2-1 is what I run. I’m not sure if it gives a better image but I like it
Favorite thing about your setup is youre not running alllll the same to please a sponsor. Youre runnin what works and gives you the advantage

Man for me all comes down to is mega live that’s it. I want a different view and that’s the only graph that has that high of frequency
I like it but its so over what alot of us joe anglers can afford. Id love to see a back to basic on a modest boat setup. 20k in just electronics makes me cringe. Fishing has to be fun.

I've yet to be convinced of the effectiveness of the hydro wave..
I think it's in the anglers head. I've fished with one and without one and I can't honestly tell a difference. I think if you're on em they're gonna bite and if you're not then they won't.

really hoping lowrance comes out with a mega level transducer this summer so their sidescan is up to par with humminbird

Thanks Jacob, All Great Legit comments. IMO, Lowrance would be hands down the best if they had 'the best mapping system'. As you said one seems to be better than the other on certain lakes. Mapping is the Hang Up for me.
Do you miss having that feature with the ghost? I’ve got your setup except with I pilot link into my birds but I miss having lowrance as my main waypoint unit since I’ve used them for 30 years and you get spoiled vertical fishing using the link feature …I’ve been debating going to the ghost with another lowrance upfront for 2D and keeping the birds for mapping and 360

I'm trying to figure how you guys drive safe with big screen TV 's in front. Lol I'm 5 10 and had to mount mine on side but I have not been in newer boat in while, please explain.
Lowrance waypoints are so much better. Humminbird is clunky and slow.
Curious to hear whether you’ve considered a Rite Hite Turret for the Active Target and why or why not you would choose it.

If you had to pic just one unit on the console, would it be lowrance or humminbird, throw the waypoint management out the window
Man that’s hard. I would say lowrance because of down scan and C-map, also I like lowrance better for finding cover like boulders, brush etc.
Now show your process of finding the fish with your console units, how you set up to catch them with your 3 units on the front 😀

Kinda sucks to hear your more happy with yours lowrance active target than garmin. I just got the garmin might of changed my mind after this video
The garmin is better image! The lowrance might pick up a little further but garmin is definitely better target separation and clearest image

@@joshjohnson3352 the only advantage I have seen with lowrance, is it will pick up a little further. Now everything else goes to garmin. I’m about to order a new boat, humminbird at console garmin up front.
