Think hugh never minded playing Wolverine again, but specifically wants to avoid having to train so extensively for that wolverine body. If marvel tries to weave "old man logan" like the Ultimates did, then it makes sense Hugh returns. He doesn't need the jacked to shit Physique wolverine used to have as the true old man Logan. Old man Logan was never much of a brawler like Xmen logan was. Old man Logan being introduced will probably bring about Marvel eventually adapting Ultimatum though, Albiet as a weird version of it in the same way as "A crisis on two earths", rather then a one world conflict because of the whole Multiverse thing. As it would be the only way to forcefully merge Mutants and ordinary superheroes together without requiring much in the way of a story.
