By the way, with the larger bedroom's layout, two of your dupes won't sleep well because of the light level, if both of the heaters are burning. Found this out the hard way, myself, and I've seen a lot of content creators try the same layout and not notice. xD It's the beds on either side of the middle trio. Again, only when both heaters are burning though. If you get coats for the dupes they don't need heaters in the barracks to sleep.
I'm looking at your hydrogen energy plant, and I'm realizing that I never needed the gas filter I use: I should have just use physics like you do here!
How are you pulling off the carnivore achievement without hatches? That's the hardest thing in this map. I was thinking of rushing to the teleporter and hope to get a hatch on second planetoid. I can't think of another way. Feeding floxes without failing locavore seems impossible.
As I understand now, there are 2 ways. First is to rush the second planetoid and use hatches as you suggest (but this somewhat defeats the point). Second is to rush locavore by taking a lot of dupes and then rush bammoths with pemmican, which is what I did here.
Can't the oxygen masks get melted somehow? I have the same issue. I have 8 oxygen masks and nothing to do with them.. I'd build a melter just to get rid of them 😂
@@GCFungus They can. I've moved them on an abyssalite natural tile inside a vacuumed area and they melted and released the oxygen making a mess of my geothermal power plant :)).
Just tested and pressing control while selecting does not let you queue up research. Ony's research manager mod will let you queue up research though, I highly recommend it.
I think it was explained in the first episode that it was supposed to be a base that utilize pretty much everything in all the ways possible; resources, critters, oxygen and food once the all achievements have been met and right now it's a rush to get Locavore (tons of food without planting/domestic farming) and right behind that, Carnivore (tons of meat/animals eaten before cycle 101 begins)
Yep, we're starting all achievements and beyond that I want to colonise every planetoid properly and sustainably, and use every critter and plant and important ways of making oxygen and power. Plus I have a unique twist for every mini base too.
45:35 Looks like dupes are carrying just 3 Sleet Wheat grains per turn... Maybe a storage for Sleet Wheat near the grill could improve performance.
Fun to watch, thanks for sharing.

Ah thanks for the heads up!
loving this series! I love the Rodriguez spom, I was using an even smaller version of the half that was not power positive but this one is.

a little birdie told me the planter-pot pip planting works with Bonbon Trees :')

I'm not sure, but if they can be then it may be worth trying!

Oh this was so tense :o
Won't the locavore achievement fail by building the hydroponics?
you only fail when you plant plants in them
As Greg said, it's planting the seeds that fails the achievement not building the tiles.
I think you failed locavore and didn't even notice, will you roll back or just continue without the acievement
Locavore only fails if you plant the seeds, not build the tiles so we'll be fine! In fact locavore should pop very early into Part 4.
I'm glowing
Welcome to the cold base (for now)!
Let's be honest.
If you're on your most ambitious run but turn off access to the water cooler. Is it really that ambitious?
I'll turn it on later I promise!
❤❤

just in case you may not know, you can queue up research with control.

@@LagiacrusHunter Apologies, probably had this mod installed for years so didn't remember it's a mod, my bad!
What does everything base Intel like does it mean you'll have every plant every building every critter or all of them?
I mean, since he's doing every achievement, I'd guess so
