I just helped, as a volunteer crew member of a commercial sailing vessel, with a stability test. I had to refrain myself from asking too many questions of the Coasties and our Naval Architect; your videos answered the ones I had. Thanks!

This video feels like it was made in 1996, but it was uploaded in 2020

I'm wondering how your comment is relevent to the quality of the information provided. Of course, your comment was from 3 years ago, so I guess it doesn't matter.

    Hello again,
Always I follow up your channel and like it because you offered good and useful subjects in marine domain.
But I have a question. Can I build my own boat about 22 meters or I need to put a construction plan then obtain approval to build it ?
Hope to get your answer shortly.
Have a great day and new year.

The laws vary from one country to the next. Details depend on boat size and passenger capacity. I will use USA laws as an example. In the USA, there are no laws that stop you from building the boat. But you do need to comply with certain safety requirements. The checks on compliance generally happen when you register the vessel. But for a ship of 22m, I recommend you develop construction plans first.
