This outlandishly great for what it is! It is an excellent virtual bass, probably the best one developed so far. Obviously, it doesn't sound EXACTLY like the real bass playing alongside, mostly stemming from the kind of glitches and articulation endemic to keyboard playing versus the kind associated with bass guitar...even with the anomalies and added character that this virtual instrument and GUI offer to enhance that specifically. You would have to play the keyboard differently (or edit the midi after-the-fact) to attempt to better approach the exact sound of a human bassist. Also, there seems to be a lot more bite and less bass on the real bass while the MODO is more full in the low-end all the time. Perhaps it needs a feature where it better drops the low-end out on shorter notes or an algorithm tweak. Obviously, in a rock mix, it's going to do much better than all naked and solo-y in a jazz or ballad setting. All in all, very impressive though--obviously!! Bravo IKmm!!

MODO BASS is a virtual instrument controlled via MIDI so you'd need to convert your playing into MIDI data in order to us it with a bass. Also, MODO BASS is not available on iOS devices.
