Bunny. True Story my grandpa was an artist for Disney back in the 50's and 60s and the design from the original zorro where he slashed the Z with his sword and it lit on fire was designed by my grandfather George Costa. He knew the original Walt Disney and worked in his Malibu Office. He now is an old man but still paints and sells his art. The fact that you love the original Zorro touched my heart that something my grandfather did is still making people happy today.
ThriftyBossBabe When I was super little my family would often go camping in Tuckahoe or Chincoteague Island. We had a camper and would sometimes go camping in the camper during colder months. The best thing was how we’d go and have showers then get all cuddled up and watch tv. I vividly remember how excited me and my brother got over the Zorro theme song and we’d slash at the air. My brother loved Zorro. I THINK we watched it on vault Disney or something because I can somewhat remember that vault Disney intro playing before Zorro. But I was like three-five so it’s hard to remember. But Zorro sticks out as it was a massive part of my childhood. The design your grandfather came up with is a fond fond fond memory of mine that I’ll likely never forget. I can remember being all cozy, snuggled up in the camper, watching Zorro. We used to get so stoked about the intro.
the Gong Show cards --- Listen. I'm not sure you will read this, but how I hope you do! My boyfriend is obsessed with all things 70's and LOVES the Gong Show. I'll pay you to get those cards. I would love to surprise him! He is always doing sweet things for me...I love him madly. I'm completely serious BTW. Please ---- if possible!
Bunny! That Bart pin you got shows him wearing a blue shirt instead of his signature red shirt! This is apparently because they rushed to get merchandise for The Simpsons out before the show even officially aired and the original character model had Bart in a blue shirt! That pin is definitely old lol
Omg Roxette is a Swedish (my country!) band that was HUGE in the early to mid 90’s!!! Europe, Asia...everywhere INCLUDING the US, I think. They’ve sold 60 million albums and slayed the charts for years!
I am REALLY tempted to start making boxes like this myself! We have a lot of thrift-shops here in Switzerland that are FILLED with toys, books, badges, household items that are well over 50 years old usually! Maybe these things could find a new home in other countries?
Etsy isn't more reputable than eBay. Sooo many etsy sellers buy in bulk from China or elsewhere and resell as handmade. That goes for pretty much everything that's sold on etsy (jewellery, clothes/accessories, wigs, stationary, etc). I'm just saying this so that hopefully people will do some browsing on other sites/Google before committing to a purchase on etsy. Don't get swindled!
VIDEO IDEA you should get a fan to go thrifting for you and then send it to you and then you review them.. even a few people from all overthe world.. i volunteer as tribute :p hehe
UM i JUST OFFFERED HER THAT! i LOVE MAKING THESE BOXES AND PARCELS! I HAD A VINTAGE CLOTHING SHOPPE IN THE STATES AND AN ANTIQUE STORE . i SOLD ITT IN LOTS BUT WHEN IT WAS UP SO MUCH JOY!
I get craft boxes from Etsy and they are great! I've tried all kinds of crafts I normally wouldn't. And I am an avid crocheter some come with patterns I normally wouldn't try. Fun fun!
Sysco is a food shipping company. Their trucks are all over and I used to see them strategically placed in the show "Always Sunny In Philadelphia," for some random, weird reason!
I did not know that. They used to JP Micheals and Continental before they were Sysco here. My father retired from them a few years after the switch to Sysco.
Sometimes I turn on your videos in one tab and keep working in another because I find the sound of your voice comforting. And because you're awesome :)
Thank you for doing what you do. When I'm struggling, I like to zone out and watch your videos. Forget about what's going on in my head, forget about life. It calms me to watch you, it feels like I'm hanging out with a great friend. I wish I could hang out with you for real! But your videos are so fantastic. Thank you thank you thank you.
Roxette is a Swedish band most popular from the middle to late 80’s and the beginning of the 90’s. Probably most recognizable in the US with the song ”It must have been love” from the movie Pretty Woman.
i was a little shocked bunny didn't know them being that she's a 90's fan. but then idk if they were as huge of a deal in the us as they were in europe back then
My mom heard of them she's an 80's kid. I'm a couple years younger than bunny and that's the only song I've heard of them. And maybe one other song. They are more obscure to me.
Mt Shasta is in way Northern Cal. It is a very famous mountain with the lake somewhere below the basin. The native tribes call it "the place for healing." Many paranormal things occur at Mt. Shasta. People gather there to have "experiences." If you've never heard of Shasta brand sodas, you should try em. They iz good!!! And that's my 30 second spiel on Shasta :)
Hi, Bunny! I’m new to your channel since the Shane collab and I just want to tell you how much I love your content, but most importantly, your spirit. ❤️ I feel like I’m hanging out with a quirky best friend when I watch you. Keep it up, please!
That class photo would be a dream come true for me. I LOVE finding old photos with a location and people names. The fact that it has a date is even better! One of my favorite things to do is research and find out who they were and what their lives were like. Ugh. Now I wish I had one that I could work on!
As a Walmart associate of many years, I can tell you about your box cutter. It is the same style that Walmart uses, but Walmart uses ones that are black and yellow.
When I think of all the little ephemera that I have collected over the years, that my grandmas collected, etc....and I thought it was all junk! Who knew there would be people interested in it!? Also, "1990...so really old" I just...I died a little inside, lol.
Shasta is in northern Cali .... My husband lived in Chico for a couple years in the earlier years of his adult life... He said its beautiful out there ! We both grew up and currently live in southern Cali, san Diego county south lmao (: 🌹💗
sharizard 909 oh yea he told me its like a whole nother world out there compared to this city living... I want that so bad . I'm tired of the hustle and bustle . I want sweet serenity and calm! (:
Real Bride Of Chucky Frankly it's just a trip having a forest right outside my place to get lost in. Honestly if you ever have a lull in that rapid city living, Trinidad has moonstone beach, Patrick's point park and I so recommend going to fern canyon. Part of Jurassic park was filmed in fern canyon :) so it's a jungle in there!
Real Bride Of Chucky Fantastic to hear! Anytime, I've been living here for a while and there is still so much to discover so I always enjoy sharing. Have a good day!
Something as simple as you opening boxes still cracks me up and keeps me interested! Love you and your channel. I have been watching your videos pretty much since the beginning and I will never stop watching. All your videos are always so fun to watch, no matter what the content! There is seriously no one in the world anything like you. One of the most compelling and unique people on UA-cam, seriously! :)
The reason the rabbit was taller than you'd think it would be is because it isn't a rabbit at all - It's a hare! Their legs are longer and more narrow 😊
That is a scarab. A cousin of mine went to school in Egypt many years ago and brought a scarab necklace back to me. She said that women would buy their daughter's jewelry for gifts that were various pieces of a scarab, or a scarab in general.. They are a sign of good luck.
Roxette - Sleeping In My Car Published: 1994 and they are from Sweden - Roxette is a Swedish pop duo, consisting of Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson. The duo was formed in 1986 and has reportedly sold over 75 million albums worldwide
WHAT !!??? did Roxette never get to the states ...??? Wait... they had a song on the pretty woman soundtrack, "listen to your heart" and the you got "how do you do" and "the look", "dress for success" and of course "sleeping in my car" im sure if you listen to any of these songs you are bound to know at least one !!!! I used to listen to Roxette all the time when i was a teen 😉😘
Yuls Brumbeck you got a remember she’s younger. Idk if she was even born when that came out. But yes they were very popular here in the United States to LOL.
That's exactly what I thought. Looks like my grandpa's night shirt drawer. I used to get in it every time I stayed the night to wear a shirt while painting. :)
You may know this, but I think the little plastic baby is from a mardi gras king cake! I'm from Louisiana and it's tradition to put the little babies in cakes, and whoever gets the baby in their cake slice has to buy the king cake next year. :P
themonsterloligon me too! They were with Cold and Kelly asked me for a lighter but I didn't have one. I made sure to carry one with me everywhere from that day on. No one has asked since 😹
You don't know Roxette? Damn, Bunny, I'm not at all a fan of them, but they're the band that made the "listen to your heart when he's calling for you" song. 😉
Bunny: The Gong Show is basically a televised talent show, known for being very gaudy and raunchy. It's been on and off the air for 40+ years, most recently in 2017 when it was hosted by Mike Myers. It was at its peak of popularity in the late 1970s, when it was hosted by Chuck Barris (who was normally a producer). There are no characters, per se, although Paul "Pee-wee Herman" Rubens got his start on the show. The trading cards would simply showcase various contestants on the program, many of whom had outlandish and bizarre acts or costumes. For some more insight into The Gong Show, try to see the movie Confessions of a Dangerous Mind with Sam Rockwell, George Clooney, and Julia Roberts. I think you'd like it. And, yes, those cards should probably be kept in their original packaging.
In the 1950s the key chain license plates were popular. I have one that belonged to my father. Single records required an insert so the record would not slip around on the spindle. You could stack singles and play one after the other. Love the add in the 1947 magazine to treat a cold with a laxative- delightful advice!
you need to get yourself a bulk bag of broach backs ( say it three times fast) and glue them to the back of those wee things. Then you could wear them on a cool jacket or sweatshirt. Also, wouldn't it be dangerous to take a laxative when you have a cold? everytime you sneezed you would poop yourself
Shasta Lake is a reservoir in Shasta County, California, United States. It is within the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area, operated by the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. It is also popularly known as "Lake Shasta"
Damned Spitfire I thought the same thing!! They were famous in the 80s. They had that super hit song “must have been love” featured in the movie “Pretty Woman”
You don't know Roxette?! No way! - I am sure you know them. You know for sure the song: "She's got the look!" Wow now I know how old I am --> the real 90s kid, born in early 80's can remember early 90s XD
Also does anyone like love the sound of the little knick knacks getting placed down. Like the sound of the chalk getting placed down on the table was so satisfying😅
same colour as the record too, i was thinking maybe she checks the boxes before she records and it fell out the vinyl into the other box, or a crazy coincidence
all mine were/are black but some would match the colour of the sticker on the vinyl sometimes that's why i thought it was a match, maybe different in other countries, i am from the U.K
This video is epic. You Bunny basically creat art I love you from the bottom of my heart for your existence. Really. Thank you for being in my life through your unique UA-cam channel ❤
I just moved to Shasta Lake (California) a month ago! Bunny, it is beautiful up here. When the weather is hot, we take the whole family on hikes to swimming holes and WATERFALLS (also with swimming holes). We are about one hour south of Mount Shasta (a "potentially active" volcano) and four hours north of the SF Bay Area.
I chuckled when I saw the Metrocard. That's not vintage at all since we still use those exact ones even now. Lol, it would have been cool if the person sent you the subway tokens instead!
Your hair looks fantastic,I hope your eye feels better. Devil rays is Tampa baseball team. Now we just the rays., I preferred and still call them Devil Rays.

Jessica Vance thank you! I don't know what up vote means.... but thank you! ♥️
Bunny always has a different look like I never know whether it’s a video from 2 years ago or 2 months ago hahah
I can only tell by the background 😂
Bunny! That Bart pin you got shows him wearing a blue shirt instead of his signature red shirt! This is apparently because they rushed to get merchandise for The Simpsons out before the show even officially aired and the original character model had Bart in a blue shirt! That pin is definitely old lol
FakeFauxFurs There's loads of Simpson's merchandise with Bart wearing the blue shirt.
FakeFauxFurs also the way his face is drawn is clearly older
or MANDELA EFFECT
FakeFauxFurs I'd say it's a knock off
It's not a knockoff! A lot of early Simpsons merch in the early 90s when the show came out had Bart in blue
Omg Roxette is a Swedish (my country!) band that was HUGE in the early to mid 90’s!!! Europe, Asia...everywhere INCLUDING the US, I think. They’ve sold 60 million albums and slayed the charts for years!
Sandra Sasvari they're awesome!! I'm sure she'll remember them when she hears the tape.
I cried a tear when she said she didn't know them. It Must Have Been Love is one of my all time favorite songs!!!!

Lasmiranda Densiwillja Yeah, good point. :) I mean “Pretty Woman”, hello?? :D

I am REALLY tempted to start making boxes like this myself! We have a lot of thrift-shops here in Switzerland that are FILLED with toys, books, badges, household items that are well over 50 years old usually! Maybe these things could find a new home in other countries?

I've never been ripped off on eBay, but I have been hugely ripped off on etsy, so yeah : / it really all just comes down to the sellers
It's sad because that's not how etsy used to be :( it used to be small businesses, handmade items, and vintage clothes
I bought a abalone ring from etsy for like 35$ and later saw the same ring on wish :( it's a cute ring but damn.. sadness
I just buy fanzines on Etsy
Gravity Kills is a Uk band from the 90's x
Gravity Kills is a '90s band from St Louis.

What kind of 90's girl does not know ROXETTE!!!!!! You neeeeeeed to listen to that tape before you tape over it! ;) xxx
I was so shocked when she said she doesnt know who is Roxette. I'm brazilian and I know who is Roxette.
Rosette was my favorite band in the early 90s when I was around 10 years old.
Never heard of them and I was a music fiend in the 90's.
I love how Bunny describes shirts as *crispy* lmfao
Second yand = Second hand -> cause they reused the y as an h 😉 Proper second hand shop, scoops.
The second one some definitely emptied out the family junk draw.
helena gallo I thought that too lol
I was thinking the same thing!
The little box just seems liked someone dumped their junk drawer and sent it to you 😒, but the last box was ah-mazing!!
SMLshake 88 agreed. Just looked like a bunch of junk to me!
Seriously exactly what I thought! lol
I get craft boxes from Etsy and they are great!
I've tried all kinds of crafts I normally wouldn't.

Sysco is a food shipping company. Their trucks are all over and I used to see them strategically placed in the show "Always Sunny In Philadelphia," for some random, weird reason!
2listening1 the place I work at use them
My mom used to work for them
My Father, Uncle and Two of my Cousins worked for Sysco. You are correct they supply food and supplies to restaurants and diners.
They also do medical supplies
I did not know that. They used to JP Micheals and Continental before they were Sysco here. My father retired from them a few years after the switch to Sysco.
Sometimes I turn on your videos in one tab and keep working in another because I find the sound of your voice comforting. And because you're awesome :)

Half of those shirts look like something out of a 40 year olds night shirt drawer
Alex T exactly mine,
That's exactly what I thought. Looks like my grandpa's night shirt drawer. I used to get in it every time I stayed the night to wear a shirt while painting. :)
Alex T agreed!
YUP COOLIO!
yea!! those are the best kind!!
The Gong show was a talent show, like an older version of Americas got talent. They would hit the gong to kick them off stage! Lol
You may know this, but I think the little plastic baby is from a mardi gras king cake! I'm from Louisiana and it's tradition to put the little babies in cakes, and whoever gets the baby in their cake slice has to buy the king cake next year. :P
The little chicken goes in the little cracked egg!! Lol
The sly fox card is from a vintage "old maid" game

No one has asked since 😹
I LOVED them, as soon as she pulled up the shirt I squealed and paused the video to listen to "Guilty" on my phone. Def a solid find!
You don't know Roxette? Damn, Bunny, I'm not at all a fan of them, but they're the band that made the "listen to your heart when he's calling for you" song. 😉
Ooh, look at this old photo...."Looks like they're.....loitering." XD
Looked like they were at a lynching to me.

Joe Blevins I’m such the cards are hilarious. I’m dying for her to open them.
Joe Blevins
Agree, do not, open.....
Joe Blevins maybe open to look and seal em back shut
Do not forget Gene Gene The Dancing Machine!
In the 1950s the key chain license plates were popular. I have one that belonged to my father. Single records required an insert so the record would not slip around on the spindle. You could stack singles and play one after the other. Love the add in the 1947 magazine to treat a cold with a laxative- delightful advice!
Bunny do not destroy the Roxette cassette!!! You have to listen to them, they’re really good.
I really loved this video! The second box was kinda meh but the others were good. I’m living vicariously through you with these vintage goodies!
Omg Alf was my absolute favorite show. I love how all these objects illicit a different response from so many people.
you need to get yourself a bulk bag of broach backs ( say it three times fast) and glue them to the back of those wee things. Then you could wear them on a cool jacket or sweatshirt. Also, wouldn't it be dangerous to take a laxative when you have a cold? everytime you sneezed you would poop yourself
hahaha omg I just watched a movie last night where that happened xD (hall pass)
Actually ,many ,many years ago some people believed that when you had a fever taking a laxative or getting an enema would bring a fever down!
Thanks for the laugh!!! Haha
Shasta Lake is a reservoir in Shasta County, California, United States. It is within the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area, operated by the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. It is also popularly known as "Lake Shasta"

how curious to get the 45rpm adapter in one box and the 45rpm record in another (cues spooky music) - nice hauls Bunny 🐇
craftywabbit
Agree 100%!!
same colour as the record too, i was thinking maybe she checks the boxes before she records and it fell out the vinyl into the other box, or a crazy coincidence
Miss MetalHead
All the "45 adapters" were that color. I, had hundreds!
all mine were/are black but some would match the colour of the sticker on the vinyl sometimes that's why i thought it was a match, maybe different in other countries, i am from the U.K

The little white figure thing I think is a egg and goes with the little baby chicken!
The Devil Rays are now the Tampa Bay Rays.
Holy crap. That is a blast from the past.
Completely Melanie that shirt is probably a collectible to someone who is a big fan of the rays!
I have that Tee.We just moved down here and my Dad took the kids to the games all the time. They will always be the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to us....💖
I grew up 5 blocks from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays' Training Stadium!
I think my favorite was the old picture of people loitering lol
Jaime Reynolds AHAHA 😂😂😂 I thought I was the only person who laughed at that comment.
Jaime Reynolds e
I chuckled when I saw the Metrocard. That's not vintage at all since we still use those exact ones even now. Lol, it would have been cool if the person sent you the subway tokens instead!
The little rat is my absolute favorite thing you got from this video. I've had pet rats so I love all things rat. How cute.
