Trust me after groaning and moaning for ten minutes on the ground after my ski very slowly pulled my leg inwards, I went straight to the infirmary. In the end it was only a minor tear but I can confirm that it hurts like all hell.

Tbh mine wasnt to bad i full ruptured mine the worst part was getting into my moms car my knee kinda rebuckled but other than that i was back at work a few days after with a knee brace with surgery a month after that. Everyones different though. My ankle hurt like a bitch when i tore my achilles.

@@xKaotisk Well I don't know if I'll get surgery since it's minor but now I'm stuck having to keep it from moving too much and from putting pressure on it. Now I walk with crutches, I can only sleep in two positions and I can barely take a shower(because of what they put around my knee.) Since its recovering I have to be very careful not to bend it in any way or put pressure anywhere at my knee and below. Its honesty just a big pain. I was told to be very lucky that I didn't completely tear my PCL(I believe) or fracture my knee. I mean the way my leg got pulled was quite intense, just the fact that it was so slow and painful, also quite stressful, the moment I heard that unusual crunch I knew something had gone wrong, to be honest I was sure my knee had snapped, but then I got back up which gave me doubts about that. I was still sceptical though. After my accident I still went back down the hill with my skis since it didn't hurt all that much back then, and wow, I really went on about everything.. but that's just how I am so yeah...

    ..........
ACL stands for anterior cruciate ligament. This functions stabilizing knee joint and prevent it from excessive flexion and extension. It can be torn by too much force from outside or rotation.
Even if you are an elite athlete, it is possible to injure your knees. Because, people can't control all variables in the field. And, regular gym goers can hurt their knees. It can be due to poor posture, improper form, or lack of mobility.
To prevent knee injuries, training for nice co-contraction of your low body can be beneficial. Wall seated squat test must help you know your co-contraction. And using gears such as knee slaves should be helpful.

I got diagnosed with a ACL and a meniscus tear in early November. It is so painful. I was on crutches until March. Even now I’m still in pain. My operation is this September and the wait is so long. I have been having physio since December but since I’m getting my op in September they’ll refer me to the surgeons now. I’m so anxious and scared about it. 😭

Finally, he decided to change and become fit. He started running, feeling like the main protagonist of a story. One day, he pushed himself to go the extra mile, and then snap 🫰 ....Now, he needs help to even take a single step. His fitness has deteriorated to worse than when he began. But who will listen to this story? No one.

My knee injury is 14 years leg and my right leg is becoming thinner than the left one. I've recently visited a doctor, who suggested me to have MRI and my MRI says "The anterior cruciate ligament shows diffuse thinning with hyperintense signal on PD fat sat images along the mid portion and femoral attachment of ACL, however it's continuity is grossly maintained. Posterior Cruciate Ligament is normal in MR signal and morphology". Rest all the points are normal.
I'm suggested 21 days physiotherapy. Am I going the right way?
