At first I thought that too, but then everything just settled together and it was so cool lol. The whole image in the center looks clear except for the slightly blurry differences.
To anyone who cannot do the cross-eyed trick: I couldn't do it either when I tried to cross my eyes because the world just went blurry instead. But then I stopped trying to actually cross my eyes. Instead, I just looked at the divide between the 2 pictures and focused on it until eventually I was staring into space. Only then did I realise that I was seeing a single, superimposed image where the divide between the 2 images had previously been. In other words, my eyes went cross-eyed and achieved the trick all by themselves simply due to me losing focus on what I was looking at. So if you're having trouble like I was, just try staring in between the pictures and let your eyes do the rest. Don't intentionally try to go cross-eyed. When it works, the differences will look 3D on the single, superimposed picture. Hope this helps!
If you're seeing the photo 4 times, you are crossing your eyes too far. You should only see the photo 3 times if you are doing this correctly. So try this. Cross your eyes until you see the 4 blurry pictures, and then slowly relax your eyes until the two middle images settle on top of each other. This should make a single clear image with blurry images to either side. And in the single clear image, all of the differences will jump out at you. Hope this helps.
We can just look at both images without worry. These two has to talk and be entertaining while also having to control the cursors they have and chase down the differences. Im sure it they had to only look they would be better

Barnabus - Another thing you can do is cross your eyes until you see three blurry images and then focus on the centre one as if you were looking at a distant photo. Your eyes should automatically focus on it
The trick I used to figure out how to get my eyes to do the right thing was to raise my fingers such that the left image was covered by a finger for my right eye and the right image was covered for the left eye. So then each eye only has the one whole image and it's much easier to focus on the superimposed one when you cross your eyes. After doing it this hacky way for a while I was actually able to learn what my eyes were doing and switch pretty seamlessly to being able to see it without the aid.
This is an old comment, but this is something they taught me to do in vision therapy to help strengthen the muscles in my eyes. Basically you can cross your eyes by physically trying to cross them, or by looking past the image as if you're seeing through it. If you hold your thumb infront of your phone and focus on your thumb, and then your phone without moving your thumb it's kinda the same. Only you're using the different spaces that both eyes see to kinda fill in the blanks. I don't know what the difference between the two methods is cause I was like nine but... fyi or whatever

Trick is getting your eyes to actually focus on the image once the two images are on top of each other when crosseyed. Otherwise you'll just see nothing but blur
@@Rayen015 if you do it right you'll be looking at a picture floating halfway between your eyes and the screen, and at that point you see a clear picture with ghostly anomalies where the two pictures are different.
I genuinely learned how to do the double vision thing from this. Looking at the boat picture I could see the different items flickering, it was really cool
Relax your vision, much as though you were lost in thought. When the image gets blurred and the lines begin to cross, follow through. You.. You ever just take a poo and forget your phone? -and you're sat there with nothing to do but think about everything you've done as you're not worried about it, but you don't see clearly at all, and yet that odd malformation in the wall's paint kind of looks like a face? That's the state you want to be in... Poop face, cross-eyes.
I think crossing your eyes is a thing you get better at with practice? It's super hard to get the image in focus at first everythings just blurry. I find if you cross your eyes enough so the images kinda overlap, then try hard focusing on the overlapped image it'll come in to focus. Trust me once you get it it's trippy as all hell.
I took visual therapy and learned how to cross my eyes from them. It takes practice and patience. Best way to help train your eyes to cross at home is taking two coins of the same type but with a different date and set them on a table with space between them with nothing else in your vision. Then take your figure and slowly bringing it closer to you to help your eyes cross. Then you take your finger away and look at the coins and try to hold it or bounce it back into one image for a time before relaxing. (Make sure the coins are far enough apart that you can form a single image in the middle without touching the edges or overlapping the real coins.) It can cause headaches because you're working out your eye muscles but once you get good at it, it doesn't hurt anymore :D
I can cross my eyes easy, and the pictures do come together, but it looks blurry as shit and I cannot see anything. I think some people can do it and some cant
Oh my god, I could feel the Dan-rage coursing through my veins on this one. I don't know about Dan's situation, but I never seen out of one eye, so, I can't use the trick Arin does, even if I wanted to. This brought back some serious (read: not serious) PTSD from the 90s with those Magic Eye puzzles that everyone else could see, but not me XD
For me, it's always been hard and kinda painful to cross my eyes, never get good results. I always make like I'm shifting my focus to something further away instead, get the benefit of having better sharpness too. Same effect of having three images, center is combined of left and right
FINALLY someone else who does the eye crossing trick! I thought I was crazy because I would try to explain it to my friend but they could never do it. It's nice to be able to put a name to what it is
Holy shit, I figured it out. There are two ways to do it. I only ever used to be able to do it by "unfocusing" my eyes attempting to look past the picture until the pictures lined up. I think Dan was trying to do it this way too. The problem with that is you can only look out so far... Initially when I tried doing it the way Arin describes by looking at it as if you're looking at your finger in front of your face, I thought it wouldn't work because it was too blurry. If you keep it lined up, eventually your brain will figure it out and the blur will go away. I feel like I broke reality this is amazing.
WOOOOW! Arin can be so brilliant sometimes! I didn't even THINK about crossing my eyes and looking at the stereoscopic image in the middle for differences until he mentioned it, and the moment I tried it, it's like the differences just highlight themselves with a fucking marker. It makes it SO ridiculously easy. WOW! Arin really blew me away on this one.
That stereoscopic trick is insane, it just clicked into place for me! The two images should come together into a blurry single image in the middle, focus on that. It should then come into focus and become pretty much as clear as the regular images, at which point you can glance around the image and see certain parts sort of flicker in and out of blurriness, which are the differences. Try going into fullscreen and pause to practice. It's really easy to lose it, so just keep trying! It's so cool!
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I thoroughly enjoy listening to arin chew ice into the microphone, I heard it and was like “damn that ice sounds so nice on my ear holes,” when arin proceeded to ask if we liked him chewing ice, I was surprised that he would think for a second that I don’t enjoy listening to the most iceyest chewingest sound in the world. “Of course, Arin” I said out loud to my monitor “of course I will comment about you chewing ice, after all, how else am I to appreciate your frozen water crunches.” I would be more than happy if Arin were to chew ice every couple of episodes now, but alas, this is not a perfect world, a world where every episode ends with the sweet sound of Arin’s ice crunches.

Oh man, my head hurts from trying to cross the pictures. Lol Also, I LOVE the sound of ice being crunched! The frosty flakes are good, too but there’s just something about ice.
Dan it's not about crossing your eyes more, it's probably about crossing them less. Ideally, your left eye should be looking at the right picture, and your right eye should be looking at the left picture.
It took a bit of practice, but by tilting my head to the correct angle and crossing my eyes further, the images overlapped perfectly and I could see the 5 blurry items so easily. I'm amazed how well that works :O
being able to do the eye trick grants you access to a special version of this video where they're both playing on the same image at the same time and the different parts flicker and I think it's so cool
I have never been able to focus well when doing the stereoscopic eye cross thing... but I figured it out for the first time! I see what Arin is doing, but I am still astonished that he can focus so quickly!
its kinda funny that the first thing i see is always the last thing they see i always see some things that i think are completely obvious meanwhile they (mainly Arin :P) finds all the things i havent even taken a closer look at
Nah. Prior knowledge. Is using info you already know in an essay cheating? No, you can totally use it. While one person memorizes something for a spelling bee, another person understands lingual roots and uses that over memorization.

I enjoy it more when Dan chew frostie flakes.
4:31 "Hey, I think that's a lucky emblem!"
Remember that time on the Tester when Arin had to do this to prove he was the best video game boy.
TODAY I LEARNED HOW TO DO THE CROSS EYED TRICK AND I IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO THIS EPISODE
"Hey, I wonder how the Game Grumps are doing, I hope they aren't in one of those weird dry spells where they resort to shovelware for epis-"
*Spot the Difference: Party! - the point and click 'spot the difference' game*
"-- Oh."
Oh man, my head hurts from trying to cross the pictures. Lol
Also, I LOVE the sound of ice being crunched! The frosty flakes are good, too but there’s just something about ice.
this isn't game grumps vs, this is arin kicks dans ass vs
Hi Arin I love when you chew ice in the microphone
It's my favorite thing
IT WAS THE CORNER OF THE PICTURE!! That was the last thing to find on the pyramid lookin building 😎🤣
It was so obvious, they hovered over it countless times. I was like COME ON GRUMPS lol
Dan plugging Cloak for Mark and Jack (15:10) is very sweet!
💚🤗🤗💚
i like it when arnold chews ice in the microphone.
I have one working eye and 20/5 on a good day.
I can't use the cross eye trick if I wanted to cause everything is already blurry.
I'm amazed how well that works :O
im surprised by all the weird switch games they are playing lately
Gin Yure vs Goku
*points at seagull* "p e n g u i n"
I ONLY LIKED BECAUSE ARIN ATE ICE IN THE MIC.
I feel like I have a headache from trying to cross my eyes and listening to you chew ice. *shiver*
Arin's a try hard because of Jeopardy!
This is one of the only times I think I've ever watched a video and have been actually yelling at the screen "There! It's right there! RIGHT THERE!"
Dan, he's the video game boy. He's the one who wins.
being able to do the eye trick grants you access to a special version of this video where they're both playing on the same image at the same time and the different parts flicker and I think it's so cool
My eyes hurt after watching this episode
I have never been able to focus well when doing the stereoscopic eye cross thing... but I figured it out for the first time! I see what Arin is doing, but I am still astonished that he can focus so quickly!
its kinda funny that the first thing i see is always the last thing they see
i always see some things that i think are completely obvious
meanwhile they (mainly Arin :P) finds all the things i havent even taken a closer look at
I noticed this as well.
The picture of Arin going cross eyed while Dan threatens him is so funny.
I am so making fan art for you guys
Cringe
@@CaptainFracture Imagine not letting people enjoy things.
hana imagine having your ego shattered by a random UA-cam comment 🐸☕️
@@CaptainFracture Sorry I shattered your ego by shutting down your edge lord attitude.
hana oof copying my comment too. Come on you can be more creative than that!
As someone with misophonia, I despise all eating noises such as chewing ice or frosted flakes xD
Love you guys xP
Hey remember how Dan fanboys often claim Dan is always calm and humble in VS Grumps?
Arin runs hotter than Dan but I feel like Dan's anger lasts longer. All that quiet, pent-up rage! It's a good dynamic.
Well considering that aren has a stupid unfair advantage.
I did better than Dan, worse than Arin, and I HATE WHEN YOU CRONCH IN THE MIC ;_;
You could use some relaxing. I recommend ASMR. Come to think of it, the Game Grumps did some videos on that! You should try them.

Great idea! I'll do that!
:(
this is the gaming content i subscribed for
Arin’s got the easier side
I love sassy Danny. One of the funniest things ever.
I can only cross one eye. I've never been able to cross both eyes.
Is crossing your eyes considered cheating?
Hah, glad to see someone else here knows what's up! Crossing your eyes totally reveals all the answers instantly
Are you spotting the differences before the other person without knowing them beforehand?
Yes?
Then it's not cheating. It's just performing better :P
Apparently not
It's creative use of world mechanics
Nah. Prior knowledge. Is using info you already know in an essay cheating? No, you can totally use it. While one person memorizes something for a spelling bee, another person understands lingual roots and uses that over memorization.
I like dans Frosted Flakes, but Aron’s Ice crunching bring back childhood memories, so it takes the cake
Is it George Washington?
I don' know why but I died when Danny yelled "SUGAR CUUUUUBES"
some of you never read highlights magazine and it shows
