My Father cigars are my go to for a solid smoke. I've smoked the Le Bijou, Judge, and Garcia y Garcia.....and others. Only had one bad experience with one, but I think it was how the cigar was stored. Loved the Judge.

I started watching this assuming you would rate it lower due to the pepper. I like to throw Judges in the humi and forget about them for a year or so. They seem to chill out a bit on the pepper. Great review man.
Idk why but I love it when it’s front loaded with a pepper or a spice and tones down about a half inch in. Sounds great brother I just tried the le bijou 1922 and loved it that was my first My Father smoke

It’s crazy how different our palates are. I’m trying a Liga H99 tonight and it’s okay, but it tastes like burning wood to me and isn’t all that great for me, I remember you loved it though. I prefer the T52. Neither one of us are wrong, just different and I appreciate the honesty!
I actually have to agree 100% on this cigar. If the 2/3rd was less peppery this cigar would be at the top of my list. It’s a very well priced cigar and smokes great, but that pepper does ramp up.

I have a 5 pack of La Opulence in toro gordo coming, cant wait. Been liking Oscuro stuff lately. In think its no cooindence MF, La Aroma DC, and Aston all fall under the same house, and all put out some quality stuff at different price points.
I am still new to smoking cigars. I don’t get any of the tasting notes and still working on retrohale. 😮😅 what is your take on Cubans? What Cubans have you tried. Thank you for your time and knowledge with cigars.

My father is definitely one of my favorite brand's, and really one of my go-to's. I've had the flor de la antilla, the le bijou 1922, and the jaime reserve, along with don Pepin blue and the cuban black label. I do enjoy Ashton's la aroma de Cuba and san Cristobal made by the Garcia's, as well. They are some of my favorites as well. When I looked up the connection between the Garcia's back when they were with Eduardo Fernandez of casa Fernandez, they said they were much better back then, before they had to strike out on their own making their own starting with Pete Johnson at tatuaje. Either way, that's been like 15 year's ago since the split, and I still think my father is great overall.
I’ve tried this cigar multiple times and 1/2 is a pepper bomb. My opinion, not worth it for how much the stick is and only enjoy half of it. Just me. Interesting, you compared it to the O-V melanio. Love that stick. But I don’t get the comparison. Not a cheap smoke either $20+ price point. Speaking of Olivia, crazy that one good smoke draws you back into the brand (weird hiatus). I picked up some Oliva V 135.
Matt, Best way to not feel the “white pepper” notes, is to chew a Scotch Bonnet (350,000 Scoville units) while smoking. You really won’t notice much of anything other than the desire to cool your tongue with the lit end of the cigar. 🔥 Woof woof ;)
The Oliva serie V Melanio is the same one I would compare it too as well. Both too strong for me as well. I was actually disappointed after hearing so much about The Judge from others.
Just smoked The Judge and it was disappointing for me. Not terrible, but I smelled and tasted a less pricey cigar. It reminded me of the free cigars you get that say Its a Boy!!
My father has impeccable consistency for sure haven’t had a bad draw on any of them. Good price too.

My Father The Judge was the 3rd cigar I ever had. Its been a while since I've had one. I think its time I revisit and pick up a few more.

The QC with DE isn’t perfect from my experience. Some H99’s have been amazing, some have been gross lol

Retro & palate…2 separate things.

Sumatra brother! For me they have a similar type of sweetness due to that wrapper but yeah, the MF is more "rough around the edges" lol

I’ve only been smoking for about a little over a year, but the Judge is my favorite.
This is my "special event" cigar. I've tried almost every top 25 in the last 5 years, and this one kills. Too short! my only complaint.
