It is used to add animation.Like, If you want to animate/move the stickers around just click the diamond sign to the directions or way you want to move your sticker..

How to erase the background of the video? That you overlay?
Select the video and look for chroma key then select the background you want to remove. Adjust the intensity and shadow to get the result you want..
