I like most of it, specially after hearing the changes they announced, except the FOMO factor of having the BP Shop and Gold Orders removed. Having more free Gold, and significantly more BP weapons, soldiers and vehicles, is amazing. Also the amount of BP weapons will lower from (roughly) 16 to 10 per year, but there aren't that many WW2 weapons to fill BPs for eternity.
I wish you did play more Japanese tanks. I don’t think you’ve ever made a video with them, and you could have fun, whether it’s goofing around with the shitty br1-2 tanks, or playing around with the genuinely good br4-5 tanks

This change is just a FOMO generator to try and get people to play the game more often so they don't miss out on rewards which are available for less time. If dedicated players end up with more, that's fine, but the change is really to get those who take breaks (and might just end up switching off from the game during those breaks) to instead play more often. By monopolizing a player's time like this, you lessen the chances they might get into playing one of your competitors. It also makes it so if someone already has a bunch of Gold Orders saved up, they can't just sit on them and wait for something interesting (since even if they end up wanting something later it'll be in the BP shop). Instead, you're forced to play during the period of that particular BP, which again forces a player's engagement with the game.

Games like warthunder employ these kind of tactics and have hundreds addicted to it. And despite them hating every single second of it they still rack up literal thousands of hours. Read the warthunder reviews its actually depressing.

Would any of the unique rewards in the BP be nearly as tempting if it didn't have a giant "limited-time only" sticker on it, or is it these techniques themselves that trick people into believing they have more value then they really do, and that it's worth spending money on?
@@AirLancer they always needed to reduce the number of weapons they made per season as well. The only thing I would have done differently is announced that multiple gold orders themselves will also be included in upcoming events for the next couple months.
One good thing i can point out. How the system works currently, you only get 1 gold order per BP, while 4 new weapons are added. If you want all 4 of them, you either need to pay gold, or hope you have some saved up from previous BP's, events or daily logins. I currently still have 9 gold weapon orders. But can't decide what i want more of. With this new BP format, it means you can get more unique weapons. Instead of only getting 1 of the 4 weapons, you get 4 of the 1 highlighted weapon (with elite BP). Yes, you can no longer choose. But atleast you can get everything. If the BP has a weapon you don't want, it's much easier skipped
Counter point being that you get all the gold youve spent on the pass back anyway, so if you were going to get through the entire battlepass anyway youre best off just buying it in the first place

Amazing how as a F2P player how I’m just not able to get the new actually well camouflaged vehicles (aesthetically speaking) without paying money, and how I won’t be able to get the old ones because of the removal of the gold orders. Oh and as a new player (started in the middle of this battlepass) I couldn’t get any of the old campaign/event vehicles (I just want the Bf 109G-10 with the 30mms) without praying for event RNG if that vehicle is even in the lootbox associated with it. They could have just increased the amount of gold orders gained per battlepass... Instead, we get this FOMO $%^$, which guts player choice by forcing guns you don't want in your face while taking them away if you miss one month of grinding,.. which leaves you in the mercy of event RNG (also less new stuff in events probs...) (event RNG already regurgitates the same meh guns...) Also, the amount of different guns per battlepass per year is going to DECREASE (5:37), because you only have ONE type of gun per BP, so it's 12 per year...
Yeah, its a win win, you can get 4 copies of all 12 guns, and DF doesn't have to make 4 different guns every season that most players will only get 2 or 3 of the 4.
If it's a booty gun you don't want don't buy the battle pass. Players genuinely cannot lose in this situation unless they're stupid enough to buy a battle pass with stuff they don't want
And if they're going to put old BP guns in events, that could mean some holy guns are coming to events (Gewehr chambered, suomi, berdan, stuff like that) which is great
On the Surface it might sound like they're forcing you to play more... BUT! They changed to 4 tasks per day, that means you'll only need 8 days to complete it!
They got to clarify how a weapon's BR is chosen. We got the Johnson and Type 4 rifles at BR4 while the meunier a6, winchester m1907 and the hino komuro at BR3
All of the different changes are fine by me but the one thing I heavily dislike and disagree with is the removal of the Gold Order shop for Weapons and Vehicles since it removes player choice of what they would like to have which is horrible in my opinion and it only enforces FOMO even harder which is something this game resorts to do a lot of the time, if they keep the Gold Order shop and increase the Gold Orders you can get from the Battlepass that would have been much better, another concerning thing is that while yes having shorter BP could increase the amount of rewards it is also pressuring the players to play more daily or as much as they can which increases negative feelings about the game for the players, people have other things to do other than to spend hours on this game daily and some of us can't play every day, while the current BP is long it does help a lot to take it more easy and casually without feeling like it's a job and having this changed will only make it more likely to get people to feel like as if the game is asking them to commit to this game like a second job which makes people feel frustrated, angry and toxic about the game (just look at how a ton of people feel about War Thunder to notice this)

Yay more FOMO. In the long run, fomo will burn players and make them not want to play! If they made a way to get old bp weapons, I would be pretty happy with these changes. Perhaps they could partially keep the gold order system. For each battle pass we should get 3 new weapons plus a gold order so that we could still get a taste of the older offerings.
The fact that I am being forced to get 4 copies of a GO weapon which I will most likely never use is a big bummer for me. I liked the previous system a lot in this regard.

As a new player join enlisted 3 week ago , i would say kinda good cause using gold order barely 3 week i manage to get like 1 or 2 gold order cant even think to buy any weapon at all , but BP weapon are really stronger than tech tree weapon , so mentioning the season weapon suck or what , TBH playing so many game season thru season usually they will make this season extreme strong to make player to get the battle pass , then next season say over power then nerf it then come out new one , but what i want to say i think this game join steam maybe during july and we join kinda hard to join to play with older player who have gone thru so long so what i m stuck after 3 week is all faction BR 2 and my mind set is kinda like erhmm i think i direct farm to BR weapon and army then whole thing change only maybe can be play along iwth older player , so i guess they come out this kinda BP so average everyone can same new weapon and encrouge to move in espcially BR 3 and BR 4 and those old nice gun come out event like recently one grinding 20k bp 2 day
The idea is good but the execution is poor, they should genuinely put unique vehicles in the battle pass to make it truly worth it. They do it in war thunder with unique vehicles, why can’t they do the same here.
War thunder has infinitely more vehicles to add. Finding a vehicle to add to enlisted is WAY harder, and then everyone will just bitch about it because they have to pay for it. Better to give existing vehicles sick camos

So, 30 day seasons. Possible 10 day completion with the elite pass, 24 day possible completion going free. He didnt scroll down to the bottom and cover some of the developer notes or ranking changes. No one really cares about ranks as it more how much youve played that season. In the notes it says they are increasing the tasks available from 3 to 4, and they are also considering readding all gold order weapons to the shop so everyone can get what they want before completely removing the shop.

I really don't like it. Lack of choice and additional FOMO. As I don't play higher br's I will probably have essentially 0 reason to get most if not all of the season passes. For me, personally, this is an absolute mood-killer to the point where I think about dropping the game. I had plans to unlock so much of the cool br 2 stuff and now I know I won't be able to. Instead I get "more rewards" as in weapons I will never touch. I dropped Warthunder for the most part since I don't need a second job at home, now I might drop this gamer somewhat recently after joining. Really sucks for me. But yeah - lack of choice alone is something I'm not willing to support with my money, either way. I guess we'll see whether I keep playing the game from time to time. But this will be the last battle pass I purchased.

I'm surprised at how bad the playerbase is at understanding the news. It's all upside except the removal of Gold Orders and the BP Shop (basically less flexibility and FOMO), the amount of BP goodies will go up A LOT. It's worth noting that before getting x4 copies of all BP weapons was impossible, now it is just a matter of completing the BPs. Also the amount of effort required has only gone up by like 20%, actually a bit less.
Maximum of each weapon was 3 i believe. But still. The BP usually only gave 1 gold weapon order. So if you wanted the 4 new weapons, it means you need to have some from previous BP's, events or logins. And that is only considering you want 1, and not the maximum of 3
Those are only questionable upsides which can just as easily sadly be argued as strong downsides. Whilst this migh (emphasis on the 'might') benifit premium players it is certainly worse for F2p players, which nomatter how popular is always never the majority of the playerbase, meaning that they only might please like 20% of the playerbase whilst the rest of the playerbase is just left out entirely. The game is already heavily monetized and is one of if not THE biggest critisisms for the game, so they are stabbing themselves in the foot.

In the notes it says they are increasing the tasks available from 3 to 4, and they are also considering readding all gold order weapons to the shop so everyone can get what they want before completely removing the shop.

@@appllwithmemes Yeah, although it is just a consideration on the devs part. Overall this update is gonna suck. You wont get to choose your weapons and once the season is over thats it. No more for that weapon til the devs decide to throw another season with it god knows when.
@lylesbox2178 1. You get to choose weapons the exact same way, it's just whether you buy the pass or not instead of whether you use a gold order or not

@@appllwithmemes 1. That doesnt seem to be what they implied. and from whats going on on the offical forums im pretty sure its not pick and choose. Even if it is it still means you can only pick and choose whats in that set of passes, in this case most of them are pointless unless you plan on trying to down tier in T3. They shouldve just kept the shop and added more gold orders vs what they are doing now. That the biggest arguement people have. Theres no more I dont like it ATM so ill wait and see if they change the gun later(they do often) and then buy it, or just buy something ive really been wanting in the shop.
2. They never said that. They said theyll CONSIDER bringing the old gold order guns back to the shop before they remove it so people can get what they want.
Also, if they bring all the gold order guns back as event weapons that kinda destroys the original premise that they were meant to either be 1 off prototype weapons, or rarities. If they keep reusing gun for a few years people will 2 or 3 squads worth. I already have plenty of thompson 30 cals from how often they keep using it as an event reward. If that turns into a squad or 2 of conders smgs then you have a real problem.
@@lylesbox2178 1. You completely misinterpreted what I said. You don't directly choose the weapons that are added to the pass. You choose whether you buy the pass or not based on what you want. Do you lose some choice from this? Yes. But you get WAY more battle pass equipment in return.

If you dont have 10 bucks for a single BP purchase, after which you will only gain additional gold on top of returning the BP price, maybe you should invest your time in something else.
F2P players only benefit from this. 3 guns and 3 soldiers in the same amount of time it would take to get 1 of each.
I really don't like it. Lack of choice and additional FOMO. As I don't play higher br's I will probably have essentially 0 reason to get most if not all of the season passes. For me, personally, this is an absolute mood-killer to the point where I think about dropping the game. I had plans to unlock so much of the cool br 2 stuff and now I know I won't be able to. Instead I get "more rewards" as in weapons I will never touch. I dropped Warthunder for the most part since I don't need a second job at home, now I might drop this gamer somewhat recently after joining. Really sucks for me. But yeah - lack of choice alone is something I'm not willing to support with my money, either way.
I guess we'll see whether I keep playing the game from time to time. But this will be the last battle pass I purchased.
Recently reinstalled the game. Played like 7 games as allies and lost all of them. There a lot of axis zerging going on lately?

Horrid fomo shit being added when weve been begging for years to stop this. Keep the order system. And its fine. Stop forcing me to play and grind more. One step forward 2 back in most of these updates. The game is purely a fomo generator now. This is purely them setting up to resell battle pass vehicles for more money. In a limited time setting to fomo people. This isnt how we grow the game.

Those are supposed to be "prototype" rare weapons (often fake), so they must be rare.

As a free to play player, i Don't give a- i mean... I don't care about other guns/skins or event stuff because I'm playing for fun, not events rewards. :3
I'm surprised at how bad the playerbase is at understanding the news. It's all upside except the removal of Gold Orders and the BP Shop (basically less flexibility and FOMO), the amount of BP goodies will go up A LOT.
It's worth noting that before getting x4 copies of all BP weapons was impossible, now it is just a matter of completing the BPs. Also the amount of effort required has only gone up by like 20%, actually a bit less.
Maximum of each weapon was 3 i believe. But still. The BP usually only gave 1 gold weapon order. So if you wanted the 4 new weapons, it means you need to have some from previous BP's, events or logins. And that is only considering you want 1, and not the maximum of 3
No, we aren’t bad at understanding the news. We like the idea of choosing our weapons because not everyone plays the same faction.

Those are only questionable upsides which can just as easily sadly be argued as strong downsides. Whilst this migh (emphasis on the 'might') benifit premium players it is certainly worse for F2p players, which nomatter how popular is always never the majority of the playerbase, meaning that they only might please like 20% of the playerbase whilst the rest of the playerbase is just left out entirely. The game is already heavily monetized and is one of if not THE biggest critisisms for the game, so they are stabbing themselves in the foot.
