Hong 10 is best because he won the year 2013, where all champions were competing. Also that year he won Menno and Lil Zoo. So in total there were 9 champions except him, and he destroyed all of them.
He's also gone out in round 1 before (twice), unlike a few other champions. But I'd say he's way more consistent today than even before, which is saying something about his growth, regardless of age. He definitely is one of the GOATs at this point, undisputedly. His depth and stamina are also insane (remember that 30 round call-out?).
So fucking true man. I really do hope he comes back for one last time. Leonardo Di Caprio eventually did win an Oscar so maybe Taisuke can win BC One :)

But I'm wondering, is this all freestyle or are these rehearsed routines? Do these guys know what they're going to do before they go out there or do they just make it up as they go along? 95% of them have set combos, toprock/footwork patterns, transition/level changing/direction moving patterns, power sets, story beats, and/or more that they train to death. They also then use these in battles, cyphers, different spaces from small to large; smooth to gripping floor, painfully hard to very shock absorbing, 1v1 to 3v3 to crew v crew settings, and in front of all types of crowds. These combos become 2nd nature to run through and effortless to transition in between and all combos of which can be executed cleanly, without showing signs of slowing down or unconfident movement, and displays a mastery of your style in perfect sync with the music and even dj scratches or lyrics or w/e the music the DJ gives you to work with. Admittedly there are breakers who just have entire complete rounds written and rehearsed which *can* go well but the longer a set is planned to run-without plans to cleanly transition out of the set at different points during it-you can have a dancer robotically doing their moves at the same pace & intensity even for example if the music slows down its tempo suddenly or a funky/jazzy/groovy/latin-esque part comes in…only for the bboy to continue their ultimate power combo of legends even though the music is totally not suited for it. Also hometown crowds can be a blessing, RBBCOne’s can be held in parts of the world where some competitors aren’t used to the weather, temperature, main language spoken to get around town, and what’s more is that often a dancer gets an injury here or there and they have to decide to dance on it or drop out even if it means this may be their ONLY chance to compete in RBBCOne. Lastly, at the highest of the highest of levels, most everyone could smoke everyone else given the right song, whether your opponent goes out first(which typically puts them at a disadvantage), and you still have the absolute best moves and movements saved up in your arsenal.
