Christian Dating Boundaries | How Far is Too Far?

Hey y'all, I was reading back through journal entries and realized I made a small mistake in the video! At 29:45, I talk about how Joshua and I had a boundary of not saying "I love you" before we made our relationship official. I thought we said it after making it official, but actually, we said the month BEFORE we made it official after day of confirmations and promptings from God given to Joshua. I can't believe I forgot that - so sorry y'all! But with that, I guess just follow God on when to say "I love you" and really think about if it's true (for me, I consulted with God, my journal of feelings, and my counselor LOL just to be sure).

helpful video! i'm definitely encouraged by your experience and can relate to a lot of what you shared (on recognizing weaknesses). staying on the path of honoring God through the dating process is definitely so HARD to do, sista!! i've seen a few of these type of videos by other channels, and i think you do such a great job of keeping it real, informative, and entertaining. :)

Hi! I mean, we are all human and those temptations can come, but these boundaries can help us not fall into temptation or fall further into lust. But regardless, God forgives if we do lust. All we can do is repent, try our best, and do what we can do to not sin against Him by lusting or falling into sexual sin.

Hi,I'm not Mrs Coty but allow me to help please?Yes,could be in dreams or God could use someone for example s prophet to prophecy and confirm.You could also earnestly fast and pray and ask God to reveal to you even through dreams or you could ask for signs yourself,like you could pray "Father please make me uncomfortable about this or give me a feeling peace just do I know".Or any other.God is Faithful.😊💕

Hi Thendo, thanks for asking! Yes, I believe dreams can be confirmation, however, I also believe the devil can deceive through dreams as well. So constant surrender and going to God about it, as Felicity mentioned, is super important. (You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/K6AkrEjh_MU/v-deo.html ) I'd say if this person aligns with what I explain in the video AND you're receiving dreams or visions or just a feeling of peace from God and you're both interested in each other and willing to commit, then I think that person could be for you. Also going to mentors or wise council that you know to ask and pray as well could be helpful if you trust them and they're following the Lord. My biggest thing that I've learned is not to let fear, lust, or idolization cloud what God is trying to tell you when it comes to a relationship/a spouse by just completely surrendering and trying your best to trust God. I learned all three the hard way smh lol but I praise God for helping me.

And it’s not good to “promise” to marry someone and have sex with them before marriage, because then you feel tied down to that person due to your physical pleasure with them, when they might not be the right one for you and it will be very hard to leave them.
