- In this video, I give 3 reasons to consider buying a Geiger Counter. I show my GMC-300E Plus and my RADTriage50 card. Also, I have a suggestion that may help you figure out where to go if fallout is headed your way.
Just an afterthought... If there was a nuclear attack on the other side of the world, you would want a Geiger counter in case of fallout. The wind app would help with that as well. Also, you would want to test any food that may be imported from that area...

Thank you for this info. The subject has been on my mind lately about how to prep for this. Greatly appreciate it!
Glad it was helpful!
very interesting the tip about using a farday cage - had not thought of that but it makes sense.
Really good video. I bought some of those iodine tablets a year ago or so, thinking I might be a bit crazy. Interesting that you can’t even get them anymore.
Or even remembering to keep.
Thanks for the info on radiation monitor and wind app. Great to know when to use the pills.
GREAT information. Thank you.

About three weeks ago, I purchased 4, 90 count bottles of potassium iodide fro my local military surplus supply store. They were on sale for $30 a bottle.
Yes, "sale". I bought a bottle ( before Fukushima disaster) for $17.95 with free shipping. After the same bottle was selling for $80
Just got mine on-sale with Amazon and it was like $60
Got mine for $99. I can’t wait to see my area’s background radiation.
Great video, thank you. What is the best way to store a lithium battery when device is not in use… ok to keep in device for a long period, or remove from device & store in cool dry pkging? Thanks!
Thank you. Remove store room temp or little cooler.
@@LoneStarPrepping And place inside Faraday container? Thank you.
I place the unit and batteries together in mine.
Does gmc-300e plus still has any advantages over newer gmc-300s? worth modifying it with soviet SBM-20 or other tube?
I really have no idea. Sorry.
@@LoneStarPrepping Do you know where to get cesium 137 calibration source?
@@RynaxAlien I see no reason for this. You can buy it online.
@@LoneStarPrepping couldn't find it even on Ebay
Google.. first site came up.
What about UVB and UBC radiation 200 to 280 nm
Who survives the nuclear winter when crops aren’t planted and water is contaminated with radiation or fallout?
Yep. If bad enough, temps will be down to ice age levels...
Nobody, better to die quickly in the flash save a lot of pain.
Whoever has more ammo?
I remember when chernobyl melted down.
We are not in danger from a backpack nuke from Mexico. More like a cyber attack on out plants.
I agree about the cyber attack. I never said a nuke would come from Mexico. I said nuke material or device (dirty bomb) could find its way into the states via the southern border, and I stick to that. You may want to read this...
