The reason why JSU sound is shallow is because the Conn 20k is not a horn to overblow on...that horn will tell on you as a player and your tone...they are very easy to play on....I have a few sousas myself...as far as tnsu is concern they were nice at some points....they was not playing together in some cases and some were rushing but they had a clean sound...I don't know who to give the W to...
Canthandlemyrealness Jackson I am a former tuna player from the ROCK and we play on Conn 20ks. We don't sound like JSU or any other tuba section. It's how you are taught to play. The Staff at Cookman has a way of getting the full and best out of you. No playing in the cracks.
I have to disagree on the topic of the 20k's. There is a certain way you have to play in those horns. The air and blow back is different as well as the natural resistance of the horn. I personally prefer kings over conns. JSU is getting the tone that they are getting because of a lack of fundimentals in tuba playing period...
Oh so y'all gone just gone go past the vid like y'all ain't see dark skin dude wit dreads REACTION face expression when the flute chick was doing "whatever it is that she was doing" lol @6:36
JSU tubas go hard...
Yea both sides was sloppy. But jsu with them lows though.
