    Great content as always Pete. Interested in the KsQh hand where you said that you get looked up a lot in that spot because of the "doesnt make sense" thought process. You said it like that is not a valid thing to say? For that hand, i imagine if we are betting backdoor spades (which you are repping on the river OB) that you orobably want to barrel the turn when you pick up equity? So wouod it therefore be a valid argument to say that your line was a bit strange? Cheers again mate - looking forward to Jan and the release of the Carrot Corner subscription!

    I think with so much analysis and so little time, you can stick to 1 table. It becomes a bit difficult if ever both tables are active. While perhaps boring for UA-cam, 1 table would likely be a more educational approach in the future :)

      I was somewhat feeling the same way. I guess i would say atleast trying a single table video would be worth a shot or editing it so that Its not really 2 at once every analyzed at the same time And i know the point of these videos is not for analysis but it’s still part of it

    Hi, new sub here🎉 very nice Channel btw and i like your honesty and the way you explain. I came back to poker After 3 years, Just playing nl2, the max i have never ever reached was nl50 years ago 😮 speaking about GTO concepts and stuff, i see that of course we use many different sizes with out range pre and post flop. I mean, i of course play exploitative at those infimouse limits 😂 nl2 i mean, i use different sizes post flop depending on opponent and texture, but not on pre flop. I see solver for exanple open 2x, 2.25 and 2.5 from utg with their range. I opted for 2x from utg and mp, 2.5 from co and 3x from btn and SB. The reason for my choice Is that i have too many multiway from early and i want my bigger sizes when i am in position. Is this a good thinking process or its Better to open say 3x with my entire range?

    hate to be that guy, but since its a theoretical series you should review some preflop spots, 43s is a losing open in any position even at 200nl, and K9o is always an open in the CO, also the 86o is not even close, losing almost tenth of a bb. Love the videos though, watching every one
    also it would really be cool to edit in solver solutions on some of if not a bunch of the spots while you talk to see whats going on in the solver

    • @Ryan-ds5zc
      @Ryan-ds5zc 9 місяців тому +1

    Lol, I literally experimented this last night and saw this video in the morning.. funny
    In my experience it was very eye opening to realise in a lot of spots I was fighting the urge of my human tendencies/natural exploits and was actually very hard to do the GTO action based on my frequencies instead of thinking about the hand logically.
    Especially in spots where you know its underbluffed but GTO says call, most of the time I was correct and it ended up being the nuts, however I would say there was about 5% of the time a bluff that I would never suspect.

    How well do you think your courses translate to live play over online? Do you think the thought processes are still right but you would just account differently for global tendencies or do you see them as completely different games?

    • @CarrotCornerPoker
      @CarrotCornerPoker  9 місяців тому +3

      I think both types of course translate well. Grades 1-3 of Carrot Poker School are theoretical and general enough that they teach you how the game works; the whys and hows, not just what an exact GTO strategy looks like. You can get that from a solver but piecing together the nuts and bolts of poker is another thing altogether. Grade E and Cash Injection are exploitative and describe how humans deviate from solid strategies due to very common human thought patterns and behaviours that are standard across a very wide ranges of stakes and game formats.

    Hard to be exploitative when multi tabling. You’re missing out on critical information which can only be gathered by focusing in on one table. Information worth more than what HUDs can provide. Just because a player at a table has a 40+% VPIP doesn’t necessarily make them a maniac. Perhaps they are on a heater and are subsequently deciding to widen their ranges and are still playing well postflop. At that point, their VPIP/ATS can be misleading and cost you in big pots.

    • @CarrotCornerPoker
      @CarrotCornerPoker  7 місяців тому

      The rake on GG poker at the stakes featured here is about 2bb/100 higher than average. It gets worse than this at reg tables especially if you play lower stakes. You can find all of this information on primedope.com as I frequently say in videos. I’m not affiliated in any way with GG poker and have no reason whatsoever to promote them. I believe that people can beat rake for a decent profit in this game if they become strong enough because the standard of play is low and large edges are possible if you’re good enough. Lots of people in our discord group have become winning players thanks to their own positive attitude, hard work ethic and the education they’ve received at carrot corner. It’s is tough and most people don’t manage to become winning players, it but it’s very possible.
