@@MIchaelSybi Been a Gamer since 1982 when i got my first Spectrum 48k "home computer". lol. Currently playing Dragons Dogma 2. Have pretty much every console and also own a PC. I could go on to tell you why i think the 90's were a Golden era....but it would take too long.
@@mephistoxarses8585 Thank you for that delving into your background. I myself was playing since 1990's, but I think I have that confirmation bias that grass was greener, hence I try to scrutinize such claims that games became worse. I think htey didn't but it might be we came to plateau, where it's hard to amaze, not that games mbecame worse
@@MIchaelSybi You're welcome. At my age ( 53 ) it could be considered looking back with "rose tinted glasses" and of course games have improved incredibly fast but i also remember when there were no micro transactions (even DD2 has them now) or "play to win game play mechanics". Games were also released without the need for patches etc etc. I could go on and i hope you get my meaning. Happy gaming to you.
This is where it all started… demo 1 .. something that would change many people’s life’s in many ways.. PlayStation.. this tune is incredible.. back in the day when u had little to no experience in gaming and you were running around with this tune going and running out of bullets trying to stay alive with the monsters.. loved this we demo game
Absolutely the same here, I started with the demo and was blown away. I put the demo disc in my mum's HI FI and recorded the track to a mix tape I was making. Those were days.
My childhood game on PS1, but why 'Psygnosis Games Inc.' didn't make a sequel to this game, as if they lost their balls to devlop it, like a PS2 version! :/
It really wasn't and I'd know, seeing as I wrote it. :) I'd probably seen that film once about 10 years prior and have never listened to the soundtrack.
@@fromwithinuk I know it's a bit late, but I have to ask. Were you inspired by the Follin brother's work? I recently discovered the soundtrack of the game Plock for the SNES. One of the tracks (Boss) for that game reminded me of this. Both absolutely cracking tracks.
Playing the demo lotsa times. This song is now stuck in my head somewhere.
Same. Cool track
Same :)
PAL psx demo1 loop is gonna get played when i die and arise to heaven.
Yeah, same here.
Coming at you from 2023!
You're still 100% correct.
Golden era of gaming in my opinion.
Your opinion is well received. The greatest decade (90's) had the greatest gaming.
@@mephistoxarses8585 What makes you think so? Do you play nowadays?

The Song Everybody's looking for.
Yea! I just did! The algorithm is reaching into our brains.
And on that note
Happy holidays

This is masterpiece.

Solid recall!

95-2000 true vives, the best era.
1997 demo 1, 7 years old hyped with my first PlayStation
I love how so many ps1 games took mid 90's trance into their soundtracks. This sounds like BT if ever you've heard his stuff.
Listen to Paul Van Dyke - Avenue It's very very similar to this.
Bring back memories.
Nostalgia tune right here!
fantastic atmosphere.euro-demo disk overplayed .
Something very Faithless about this.
Big nostalgia.
Demo disk 1 soundtrack
Just found a copy, I loved this as a kid.
Feels like yesterday, not 10 years ago
Beyond epic!
It starts here 1:53
beautiful ;)
Does the game CD work as an audio-CD?
Yes, it did.
That beat from 01:20-01:23 seems a bit In the hall of the mountain Kingish.

1996,demo 1,me and my father
so acid - love it
Souvenir dun jeu de fou pour lépoque et cette musique.... souvenir.
It does sound a bit Batmanish.
Fun fact: this tune was actually inspired by the tune in Day of the Dead (1985) when the dead enter the compound.
