Congratulations on Vanderbilt! I totally feel that reaction as I got into one of my reach schools. Usually, you see the student and their parents getting hyped up, but this situation was basically me thinking "Huh? What?" while my mom called and texted her friends haha. Good times :)
taking the sat and act next week, got me very stressed for not just that but overall admissions! they just keep getting more and more competitive EDIT: so heres how it went: I got a 34 on my act (35 math, 33 english, 33 sci, 36 reading) which i was pretty happy with, but then i got my sat score. I got a 1570! 800 math too
Congrats on Vanderbilt (Would have attended if accepted 😭)!!! I got waitlisted to vandy and bu. However got accepted to Notre Dame and USC . Really shows how random college admissions can be.
Maybe we get rejected from places we want to be so that we get into the places that we are meant to be. Just a thought. Good luck at Vanderbilt, you'll do great!!
This is a “normal” hard work student results. Too many top school acceptance videos on UA-cam, that’s sometimes makes feel they are pretty easy to get in 😂
Lemme go one by one about crazy results for almost every uc based off of what I know 2:10 UC Santa Cruz: They have a housing crisis right now so they are waitlisting everybody(myself included) Congrats that u got in! 2:35 UC Davis: They over enrolled last year and the year before that so they are waitlisting or rejecting everyone(I got rejected). Congrats that you got in! 2:47 UCLA: Crazy year they had I think above 140k applicants and some people were getting in despite getting waitlisted at for example UCD(I’m pretty sure that’s granted for top UCS) 2:53 UCI: It’s a similar scenario to UCLA except less applicants 3:09 UC San Diego: Honestly second hardest uc to get into for cs. They had a similar number of applicants as UCLA and they accepted less people because I’m pretty sure they also over enrolled last year and so they cut that number down.(I got rejected from those two above and this one). Congrats you got into UCSD!! 5:14 UC Berkeley: This is the shocker. Surprisingly from what I heard more people were getting into Berkeley. I have no idea why. I think it’s because governed Gavin newsom enacted a law so that UCB to accept more people which means more seats. Advice to future applicants: DONT heavily rely on UCS because this is the kind of stuff that can happen. Also congrats on your acceptances where do u think you are going to commit?
I find it interesting that more people are getting into UCB. I got rejected but got into LA. I also got waitlisted by UCSC though, and as for UCD, I've heard them and UCSC (as well as UCSD) has high yield protection so if they think you're not going to commit because you're "overqualified," they'll either reject or waitlist you. I just had to do some research after getting waitlisted to UCSC with a 4.19 GPA because everyone said it was a very easy UC to get into. Psychology major, by the way :)
@@dorothycho2467 For UCB this was the case at my school where a lot of people were getting in. And yeah for the yield protection thing i understand that but this year was not like others. People were getting waitlisted way more than the yield protection rate such as uc davis, ucsc, and ucsd like you said. And congrats on any of your acceptances and i hope you get off of the waitlist of any ucs. Im a cs major and got rejected from nearly every uc.
@@OscarZheng50 pretty good. I’m in 8th grade right now but I plan on graduating in junior year. I have straight As and my high school schedule is mostly honors or the highest classes I can. I also have some extra circulars I’m doing.
@@Emma_Offical08 im also in 8th grade honors, as of right now i do not know my high school schedule but i don't plan on getting in mit anyway, probably going to get immediately rejected
I’m sorry that you didn’t get in to USC! That’s my alma mater, I’m a Trojan alumni! It’s getting harder to get into every school, USC was 9.9% for 2023 and just a couple years ago it was 16%! You seem like a very bright person, and I wish you the best in wherever you go and whatever you do. Wherever life takes you, I want you to make a dent in the universe!! Fight on! ✌🏻
I didn't get into USC either... but I feel like more people have been getting in this year. It's a bit discouraging. :( and as a UCLA admit, I feel like this rejection can't be taken lightly. Fight fight fight!
I came up with a small concept based on the question: *how would my paintings look like if they were dance freestyles?* I really need feedback on the video and im wondering if the concept is worth advancing or not I really don’t want this to feel spammy and I totally get if everyone ignores this comment, but if you do watch the video and relate to it in some way then I just wanna say thank you and it means a lot to know that someone else enjoys what came out of the two things that consume my life: art and dance 🤍

Wow. That is such a weird coincidence. Thanks for sharing. It really does come to show how random things can be. Congrats on both USC and ND though!
Vanderbilt grad here for a million years ago (2010 ;) ) - welcome to the family!!!!! You'll love Nashville!
Great! I’m sooo excited.🥰
So so hugely happy for y. I am just so excited you got into Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt is a nice choice for you. It has a large ice rink right across the street. Wonder whether you competed in that rink before.
its crazy you say realistic but your an ice skater 💀
Realistic in a sense that I was rejected from a ton of schools
Congrats on Vanderbilt! I got rejected from all my reach schools besides Vanderbilt and will be attending there too! Class of 27 :D
GOO SARA!! congrats you still did amazing... and i love your mentality
Thanks gurl❤
Sorry it didn't work out for you at Penn, I was on the skating team there back in the day! Hope you have a great time at Vandy!
Congratulations on Vanderbilt and UMich (just wish they’d take me off the waitlist lmao).

I’m going into computer science too! This is the first video of computer science I’ve seen. I’ll be going into college in 3 years.

Ye, congrats scientist. More than college, your problem solving skill will eventually matter in industry.

I plan on applying for colleges next year after two years of GAP year. I am afraid and anxious because the college process is very overwhelming.
I understand where you're coming from.💖 All I can tell you is to take it day by day and honestly, feel free to ask me questions or anybody.

Yes. It was my 10th activity.
congrats what are you stats and ECs?
Coming out at 500 subs!🎉
Congratulations! Do they have a rink there like U Mich?😶
Thank you so much! Yes they do! I actually made sure that everywhere I applied to had some sort of a skating rink and club.

Yay! Congratulations!

How long did it take you to apply to 30 schools?
A reeaaally long time (like 30min-4 hrs for each depending on the school).. but I did get to reuse supplementals.. total was like a solid 3 months
