If they start on the ground, the motor will build up fuel in the motor and not accelerate as fast on the start. They keep revving the engine until right before they are placed on the ground.

this reminds me of the episode of punky brewster, where she drives an r.c. car dressed like a boy because all the boys wouldnt let a girl drive rc cars!!
one of the best quickest, and difficult rc nitro race i've ever seen, very nice race, this hobby should never disappeared , rc models for ever.

the track owner ,ned to clean thr track up, full of holed from nose dives. other then that ,,track isnt bad.
