That division is a modern romantic concept that has been pointed out by many scholars not to make sense. In the myths the Vanir holds domain over such concept as wealth, prosperity and trade, community, art, rulership, diplomacy, agriculture, sailing, love, marriage and peace, which aren't exactly nature concepts. And while they do also have some power over natural forces so does the Aesir. But if there is one group of nature gods in Norse myth the Jotnar are certainly the closest as they include Ægir the god of water and sea, Halogi the god of fire, Kari the god of air and wind, Nott the goddess of the night, Jord the Mother Earth, Urd, Verdandi and Skuld the main Norns who control fate and time, etc. The Jotnar are far more directly and exclusively linked to nature than either the Vanir or Æsir.
I think, more accurately, the Aesir were connected to combat, war, and raw power, while the Vanir were connected to nature, magic, and Precognition. Just my opinion.

As a Norse Asatruar I will tell you the greatest difference between Odin and Zeus is that Zeus believes he is completely indestructible and cannot be killed no matter what, he also believes the Sun and the Moon to be indestructible and cannot be destroyed no matter what. Odin is a god that understands his own fatal mortality, he unlike Zeus understands that one day the Moon and Sun shall be destroyed and so he seeks wisdom, that is why Zeus never sacrificed his eye and hung to the World Tree Yggdrasil- Because he is overly confidant. Odin prepares Valhalla and gathers the greatest warriors of the world to join him for the final battle whereas Zeus thinks that he can overcome it all by himself. In the end Olympus and Asgard are both destroyed, but because of Odin's forsight that he gained through great Sacrifice he was able to prepare for the destruction of Asgard and so the realm of Idavollr, the Children of Odin is allowed to exist and continue the glory of Asgard whereas Olympus has no Romano/Greek realm to replace it and is forgotten.

@@vlad_47 Let me start from the beginning, Long ago the Indo-Europeans dispersed and settled different lands, the Germanic/Celtic peoples preferred the forests where as the Greek/Roman people preferred the plains, this is why in ancient Greek/Roman society we see politics divided into different regions such as the Plains Faction, Sea Faction and Mountain Faction, the Plains faction generally consisting of wealthy land owners as this was the best land for farming. The Southrons did not live amongst nature and so they have a lesser understanding of natural life, because of this their pantheon consists of gods immortal including the Sun and Moon being immortal titans just as Zeus claims to be, but that doesn't make the Sun and Moon immortal or Zeus even if he feigns immortality out of ignorance, they will be destroyed one day, we have the technology to measure the life span of stars. We men of the North, our ancestors had a better understanding of the world, they understood that eventually everything dies and is also reborn under the right circumstances, we know that Odin does not fight Ragnarok to preserve Asgard, but to give Idavollr a chance to exist and thus carry on the glory of Asgard. All things end, but can be alive again, Asgard lives again in Idavollr, where Magni and Modi raise high the hammer of their father Thor but because of Zeus overestimating his own abilities, when Ragnarok does come to Olympus it will not rise again from the ashes.
